I wanted to leave a better review but here it is. Healing house has a great newcomer package with great value. Massages are great. Receptionists seem to rarely be at the desk which is a minor inconvenience. I got a facial from Lisa with disastrous results - painful peeling skin and a red rash. I was offered a full refund which was awesome but Lisa had no idea what she put on me despite noting during treatment that I was having a bad reaction to something she put on my face. She then sent me home with the same product she said might have caused all of this in the first place. I think the professionalism and sense of responsibility as a healer wasn't there. I would not go to Lisa for a facial - she's really nice but you want someone who knows what she puts on your face and notes if you have a bad reaction, and shows up on time (she's been late every time I went to see her). read more

Absolutely great massage experience. Once I found the office one of the staff introduced me to the trademark lizard which was a cute touch. The office has plenty of waiting space and decor is tastefully dine yet not too corporate looking. After a short wait my therapist told me he was running about five minutes late. The office and massage space was quiet and relaxing. Anthony offered aromatherapy and asked if I wanted oil or lotion. His technique was the best I've had from a LMT in a long time. Then at check out I saw that if you buy a monthly recurring membership you actually can choose from an array of services, not just one thing. I left impressed and eager to start a recurring membership after exhausting my massages I purchased using my Groupon. I'm even referring a friend for Anthony's fantastic massage technique. read more

I had a two hour massage that was pretty good but she didn't introduce herself so I have no idea what her name is. I asked her to work on my left shoulder but she only worked on my right shoulder. She didn't seem like she was having a great day. Her energy wasn't happy. She seems annoyed that she was working. So I'm sure my two hour massage wasn't what she wanted to be doing. Her negative energy rubbed off onto me but I was excited to clear it with the 90 min facial ahead. That was a disaster. I wanted no dermaplaning and extra facial massage, per her recommendation to fill time. I called ahead and spoke with her about this ahead of time before booking my appt. So we discussed that in the treatment room. She did zero facial massage. Zero. She did 25 min of a very interesting take of a massage under my back and in my armpit. Since I just had a 2 hr deep tissue, I was pretty sore. The not so fluid massage technique was bizarre and kinda painful. She was moving me and jerking me around. I was worried I'd leave with a pinched nerve. Because it's a facial chair leaned back and not a comfortable massage/facial bed, it was wobbly and not relaxing. She applied cleanser on my dry skin and removed it with damp cotton rounds. Repeated again. I think she forgot to make hot towels so she quickly dunked a towel in a bowl of Luke warm/cool water and then applied the dripping towel to my face. Held it there for about 60 Seconds. It only made me colder and more uncomfortable as the water dripped under my neck and into my hair. The towel also smelled like maybe it was sitting in around food. As she held it over my face for a minute or two, I could smell the scent of maybe the towels sitting in a car or a kitchen. The cold soaking wet towel she pressed on my face smelled like food. Not good food. Old food. Therefore making me feel like I was in her home, for an in home facial treatment. Not what I signed up for. I asked for extractions of some new tiny blackheads on the side of my face and she said she had no problem extracting, but I did sense some doubt in her voice. Never a good sign. With hesitation, "uh, Well is that what you want?" I replied, "yes". When we got to extractions, she just poked and FLICKED my skin with a lancet(needle) over and over again for 20min. Which was incredibly painful and I could feel my skin getting inflamed and possibly bleeding. I told her if she wasn't actually getting anything removed, if she could please stop. She replied, "oh yeah, I think I should stop. I'm only making it worse". Oh boy. NOT ONE EXTRACTION WAS MADE IN 20 min of using that needle. The facial chair is so uncomfortable that I started to fidget. She asked if I was getting uncomfortable because other people have said the chair was uncomfortable too? I told her my back was starting to ache and I should have had my 2 hour massage after my facial. She said, "well I'll hurry this along so we can get you off this table. She only did 5 steps and 1 of the steps was the strange 25min massage under my shoulders from the side where she jerked me around on the wobbly chair and about 2-3 min of wait time in between each step. The next day I am left with clogged pores, scabbed/scarred skin, inflammation, dry and irritated skin. I called the next day to let owner know because it wasn't ok and I hope she isn't doing that to other people's skin. I asked to speak with a manager or the owner. The front desk manager apologized for my experience and said she would let Muki know. I didn't want to leave a Yelp or Google review as it could really be bad for business, but I haven't heard back from the owner and it's been 2 weeks! When I have bleeding, scabbed, and scarred skin and the owner doesn't care to contact me.... ok. Thats a shame. I have so many credits to use and I don't want to use them because I'm afraid I'll come out feeling worse or left with worse permanent scarring. I really had high hopes for my spa day but it really ruined my month. My skin is only worse than before I walked through those doors. I want my money refunded for all the credit I have left and the facial that tore up my skin. Not cool. *update.... I realized I had already left a 3 star review in 2017 due to unprofessional nature of the front desk letting me know they were firing the esthetician so they couldn't book me with her. So I guess I was waiting for them to correct some kinks and must have forgot I tried coming for a facial with them years back. Wild. Never again. read more

I just walked out of a much needed massage with Chris and it was truly delightful! He was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. His soothing hands were the perfect combination between gentle touch and necessary pressure. It was definitely a memorable massage! This place is ALMOST too good to be true. I purchased a Groupon for a facial. I know there can be a negative stigma to businesses about people who use and purchase Groupons. I have NEVER had a good experience for a facial through Groupon. I often feel dismissed and rushed out the door. Lisa was lovely though, and gave me a nice service. I appreciate that they use Eminence and PCA Skin. Two respected, professional Skin Care lines. The receptionist that greeted me at the door was very friendly as well as the little lizard dragon in the waiting area ( I know this isn't technically what you call him, sorry Mr. Lizard Dragon)!!! I absolutely love this place! I started seeing Muki when I developed knee pain. I tried everything to get relief but the pain only intensified. After my first acupuncture session, my pain was reduced by over 50%! With regular sessions and a collagen supplement shake, I was back to myself in just a few months. Muki is amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. I've also seen Anthony for amazing massages/aromatherapy/laugh sessions. Anthony brings a full toolbox of skills to his appointments. Short version: - great Groupon deal (quite a steal) - great massage therapist (Bryan). Respectful, knowledgeable, professional and personable - very clean and inviting place. - hard to find but when you get the right building it's easier - you won't regret the experience A girlfriend and I were visiting from California for our husbands' hockey tournament and decided to treat ourselves. We searched through Groupon for a number of places. They were either closed on weekends or people just weren't answering the phone. Not the case with this place. I just happened to come across this deal while making a last ditch effort for a "treat yourself" massage. They answered the phone right away, very polite and were able to schedule my friend and I on very short notice. It was an incredible Groupon deal (2- 60 min massage for $85) for the type of service and massage we got. We both had Bryan the licensed massage therapist. He was absolutely amazing. Very very nice and respectful. He made me feel so comfortable and I was able to relax with no problems. His massage was the best I've ever had. It was truly a zenful experience. You can tell he loves what he does and is a true professional. I love his focus on deep breathing. The place itself is very clean, which to me is important. New linens, no trash anywhere, everything was spotless. Very inviting place. Loved Lotus their mascot bearded dragon. The only thing is that the business can be hard to find. Once you find the building (it looks like an apartment building until you read the business names) then it's pretty easy to find the suite when you follow the signs. I had been a client of Zen Medicinals for acupuncture by Muki before it became Healing House, and the experience was very positive. I visited this time (two times actually) and saw Seva for acupuncture for lower back pain. He was very nice but I have to say that that the acupuncture did absolutely nothing for me. He recommended a course of treatment involving increased visit frequency but I would need more of an indication that it was going to be successful to consider that. I gave it four stars because I did have two very nice naps on the acupuncture table, but I can't justify the cost to go back. read more

I have been going to Healing House for over a year. I can't say enough about this place. In Nov. of 2020 I became very sick. As my illness worsened, over the course of 3 months I went to multiple specialty doctors including a functional medicine practitioner, was in and out of ER 7 times and in the hospital for 2 days with heart issues. I was an incredibly healthy person prior to this. I knew something was very wrong, but no doctor would help me. They all said your blood work is fine, we can't find anything and we can't do anything else to help you. I finally went to Healing House as a desperate measure. Best decision I ever made!!! Muki, the owner, was exceptionally compassionate and empathetic to my situation. He validated all my medical concerns that I had been trying to tell doctors about to the point I broke down in tears bc someone was FINALLY listening to me and not just brushing it off as anxiety and mental health issues. It wasn't that. I had stage 4 adrenal fatigue. It was debilitating to the point where I could only get up for about 2 hours a day. I tried to tell my Western medicine 'doctors' that I thought I had adrenal fatigue, but none of them would listen or do further tests to help me. Muki had me do the Bioenergetic scan and it did indeed support everything I had described to my other doctors. Over the course of the next 12 months, Healing House helped nurse me back to health with their Bio Scans, 2x a week acupuncture treatments and nurse practitioner support (who helped me finally do a specialized blood test that proved I had Adrenal Fatigue). So sad when a patient has to be their own doctor and find answers. Western medicine can be so inept! The staff at Healing House all worked hard to get me answers, support my recovery and get me back to myself. It was a long healing journey, nearly 14 months. I am beyond grateful for the compassion, kindness and superior care I received while here. If you have any doubts about trying this location. Don't. You honestly won't find a more supportive and knowledgeable staff to assist you in whatever your health needs are. I can honestly say if I didn't find Healing House when I did, I do not know where I would have wound up since no one else was willing to help me.
