The plate size is ridiculous. The menu is only in Norwegian... Not to be recommended at all.

You'll have a blast. Make sure it's karaoke night". I love watching karaoke so I was all about this. I wasn't sure if it was karaoke night, but I figured, regardless, I wanted to check this place out. I think I strolled in around 10:30-11:00 maybe? A few people out front smoking. Inside are two levels- the top a dance floor, the bottom, the pub. Two people were upstairs, that's it. I actually think they were employees just sitting there waiting for customers, but there were none. The action was downstairs. To my luck, it was karaoke night. I walked down the steps and immediately heard a rousing rendition of, "Careless Whisper". I knew I was in the right place. I picked up a rose cider which was around $12 USD and was able to sit down in the front row. A few songs played on the video screen accompanied by a girl who was interrupted by a very drunk man during her rendition of, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it). A few Norwegian songs were song, along with a couple American ditties that I can't remember. Sadly, karaoke ended at midnight, at least that evening. I laughed a lot that night. Such great energy and atmosphere here. When I'm back in Oslo, I'll be back at the Pub for sure.

Very cliquey.

Unfortunately on Saturday night I found myself surrounded by more women on the dance floor than men. The age tends to be 20-30's. The first floor is a bit campy. It has a small dance floor, couches, and lots of soft chairs. Music is mostly pop. The second floor is mostly a dance floor, DJ, stage, and they have a few seating areas for large groups. The Friday night I went they had a drag show on stage that started at 10pm. The drag show was just ok, but it was very popular! Music is mostly dance. Typically the 3rd floor is only open after Midnight on Friday/Saturday. It's a bit more classy club feel. Large booths for groups, go go boys, a smaller dance floor, a bar, a cage for dancers, etc. the go go boys were cute, but terrible dancers and didn't know how to interact with the crowd. Music is mostly techno. A beer is about 86 Nok and a mixed drink is 116 Nok. No cover before 11pm.

It might have something to do with the friends who drag me here, but mostly it is because they play feel good music, which puts the biggest smile on my face. If this was a review of my over all night It definitely would get 5 stars, however, I have to bump a lot of starts of this place because of a few reasons: 1. the bathroom situation 2. the sticky floors 3. the bad bartenders No matter how much fun your night is, it is never fun to go into a bathroom that is messy. And to be honest, the bathroom here is almost always a mess, which is to be expected at a club, but it is not excusable. The most annoying thing about Elsker however is the awful wall to wall carpet. It goes up the stairs from the entrance to the second floor, and it gets socking wet by drunk people spilling their drinks. Definitely do not put on your favorite $300 shoes thinking you will look fabulous all night, because your shoes will not survive, and you might cry when you get home. Crowded clubs generally means crancy bartenders, and Elsker is no exception. Had it not been for the over all fun times with friends and good music, I probably would not go here.

Well I must say it was not a bad choice! This place on daytime serves food which is more or less the typical cafe food, with burgers and salads. I had one of the salads that had grilled cheese and it was good. The salad came with bread and aioli for free on the side (generous portion of bread). Not a bad deal. And I also thought the price was ok. It was sth like 170nok. The place itself is very special. Filled with numerous colours and strange decorative things. I saw also the backyard which everybody has commented on when I was leaving, which does seem very cosy. What I didn't really like was how dark the whole place was as there were only few windows to the outside. And even though the salad was ok good, it was not something I would be going back to. So in general terms it was nice but not amazing! Good for lunch or coffee in a cosy colourful place.

The sparse upholstery on the ground floor were quite comfortable and were inviting to stay an relax for a while with a beer. The beer was quite affordable for Norwegian conditions, by the way. The server recommended Afternoon Break as our tea selection and it was wonderful. We were lucky we were able to get a table, probably best to call for a reservation; YES, it's that good!

All locations offer reservations for tea, with the Copenhagen location booking out quickly. I Decided to try the Oslo location with my friend, which had plenty of availability. We Ordered the afternoon tea which consisted of two ham sandwich slices, two smoked salmon sandwiches and two cucumber sandwiches, four scones, two macarons and two lemon tarts. All of which was served with our choice of tea. We also shared the cheese plate which was delightful. Loved the earl greys and the history regarding the queens blend. Was a little discouraged when the server put the receipt on the table early on while we were still eating, but they do this with everyone. It's more of a way to track the order than to encourage departure. The gift shop also has a lovely variety of items. Definitely a worthwhile shop and would consider returning in the future.
