Eugene is my man. He showed up when he said he would, positioned my dead car in the Sonic parking lot so he could load it without blocking traffic, then headed off to the dealer. He already knew where that dealership parked cars for service. He got the car in place and showed me a cute trick where he could unhook the car using just the platform. That's the sign of an experienced guy. I always hate dealing with tow truck companies, but since Eugene is his own man, he knows the value of service. Posting this on yelp since my original review on google was deleted. This guy is the most inept man in the greater Cumberland area. I left my keys a 10 minute drive away, which was my fault. He said he'd wait for an extra $20, or he could do it without the key for $50. We tried that, realized it couldn't happen without absolutely demolishing my front lip, then he said just go get the keys. I went to go get them, and as I'm pulling out of my driveway, he calls me and says "I got it on. I'll meet you at the shop." We get to the shop and he I found out he towed it with the parking brake on and attached the tow hooks to my LOWER CONTROL ARMS. My bumper is hanging off at this point. I ask him how he got it on and he said he just slid it right under and pulled it up using soap and water to lubricate the wheels. Are you kidding me? He also didn't bring any wooden boards despite me saying multiple times to bring them, which is why my bumper is now hanging off my car. He absolutely destroyed the front end of my AMG and then tried to say it was no damage. I am this close to taking legal action against them. Haven't even inspected the control arms or drivetrain yet. Here's the math. Five stars = Outstanding in every way. NOPE. Four stars = 5-1 Star because It was a decent job done fairly. NOPE. Zero stars = 5-5, because the PRICE was highway robbery and then the driver PRESSURED for an additional tip amount, which was borderline extortion. (He had our car!) YEP. However, 0 + (1) He answered his phone + (1) actually showed up + (1) and got the job done = 3. Overall, We would call others ahead of this guy next time, but if push comes to shove, this guy will show up, but get ready for a less than enjoyable experience... not that needing a tow in the first place is a day at the park. read more

Eugene has helped me out once again. He was able to show up in middle of rush hour traffic and get to me quickly. Great guy. He also got my vehicle working as it was failing to start. He cleaned my battery and applied oil to two spots on top of it to clear away erosion. He saved me a trip from visiting the auto-mechanic and being out of a car for 2 days. Thanks Eugene! DO NOT CALL THIS GUY/COMPANY HE WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR!!!! HE TOWED MY CAR, AND DAMAGED THE REAR TRACK CONTROL ARM!!!! COST ME $1,500 AND REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS!!! I give him credit he got there fast and got us off the interstate where it was pretty dangerous. However, upon inspection from the dealership he connected the rear hook to the left rear track arm and damaged that arm and caused it to now be out of alignment. The arm has to be replaced and with realigned it cost me $1,420. I had the car serviced just a week before and everything was 100% fine, the dealer says they see this often when folks tow the car. I sent him the video and pictures and he refuses to pay for the damage he causes. If you read through his reviews when he creates an issue he always blames the client who called him in good faith to simply tow their vehicle when they are distressed. This man has no business intergrity and at a minimum could have offered to simply return the $275 tow, but he offers nothing expect to say "It wasn't me" when it clearly was. YOUR CAR IS AT RISK OF MORE DAMAGE IF YOU CALL THIS MAN. I would give him ZERO Stars but you have to provide 1 to post the truth about this guy. read more

I called around and Eugene quoted a reasonable price, had great customer service, delivered my vehicle to me in a reasonable amount of time, and kept me informed through the whole process! Called Eugene's to help with a tow. First they told me to call someone else until I mentioned that the tow would be some distance away. They proceeded to give me a quote more than DBL of another towing company. When I mentioned this the man rudely said "Well let them do it" and hung up on me. Well I did and they did. Saved me $200. If you value your money and time do not use this company. The driver started asking for a "tip" the minute he arrived. Next he tried to tack on additional charges for the service he had previously quoted. He also persisted in wanting to tow the car to Firestone when I repeatedly asked him to tow it to Discount Tire, the place where the tires were purchased. (Does he have some kind of agreement with Firestone?) I finally had him leave and paid the original quoted price. I called another company the next day and they completed the job in less than an hour at a much lower rate. read more

Difficult experience all around. The driver took the location of my pick up & drop off and quoted a price. I confirmed I lived in Bellevue (37221). Once he loaded the car he called and asked for 20.00 more dollars because "he had to drive to Pegram" & I had told him the incorrect exit. Since he had never asked what exit to use I did not tell him a number/ and I definitely don't live in Pegram He clearly had gps and should have seen the location of the neighborhood. After some arguing he reduced his extra charge to 10.00. I agreed to this. I suggest you use a different company for your towing needs Follow up. Just to get the gist of why I'm giving Eugene's five stars, let me give you a quick synopsis of the situation. First of all, I NEVER write yelp reviews just because for one, I'm lazy, and two, there's usually nothing that inspires me to brag or rag on a business. My boyfriend and I had gone to dinner in green hills and were getting ready to head over to Regal for a late night movie. We get in his car, turns the key in the ignition and absolutely nothing happens. After several attempts to get his car started, it was concluded that seeing a movie just wasn't in the cards for us. Frustrated and annoyed, we decided to call a tow truck. It was 10:30 PM on a Friday night, cold and raining outside which only added to the misery. I scanned through Yelp tow truck reviews on my phone, called the few listed as open "24 hours" with no luck. Finally came across Eugene's which was closing in 30 min. I exclaimed "call them, hurry, they close soon!" After calling, they agreed to help us out. My boyfriend hung the phone up and said "it's probably going to be an hour or so before they get here. You may want to Uber home." I decided to stick it out and low and behold, the tow truck pulls up less than 10 minutes after hanging up the phone! Eugene could not have been nicer and made the whole night a little less miserable. He even offered to return another day to tow his car back to where he originally had it worked on (over an hour south of nashville!). The towing only cost $65 which is a deal compared to other companies out there. If you're in a pinch and need a reliable, affordable tow truck, then Eugene is your guy! i was just on i440 in nashville when a truck from Eugene's towing came speeding up on my right side in a merge lane coming from i65. he blared his horn at me like he was telling me to get over...i assume because he did not want to slow down. I was in the correct lane for my exit, which was the next exit...and the last time i checked it was not the person's responsibility in front to move over...it is the person in the rear to be in control of their car...which means he should have slowed and moved over behind me. When i called the company number (not knowing it was a single individual) i got the driver who told me that he almost hit me (again should be in control of his car) because i did not get over (which i did not need to do)....then he just hung up. Although i have not used the towing company as a service, my opinion is that if that is the way that Eugene acts and treats people (hopefully not customers) then I would think twice about calling him if i need a tow. read more
