We brought our girl here to get a great run in before heading out for the day. It was cool and lovely. Great parking, nice water fountain, poo bag dispensers & trash cans, double gates, secure fencing, and a separate area for smaller and shy dogs. Part is dirt and part is grass and plants. Some trees. This was the first time we went to a dog park in the area. My little pit bull was so excited when we got here! But we hadn't been there more than five minutes before she was attacked by another dog. The owner, a middle aged balding white man, was sooo unconcerned that his dog attacked mine. My dog practically dragged me out of the park and back to my car. read more

So many issues here. You have to go a lot to figure out what dogs and owners to avoid. People don't follow posted rules. Poorly trained and clueless (dogs and owners), mosquitos, mud pits, burrs, foxtails, glass (?!?!?), pot holes and tripping hazards, pinecones the size of grapefruits falling from the tops of trees, unattended toddlers and small children, rough huge gravel, drainage pipes, dust, and finally smells like dog pee so badly. My dog and myself have been bit, she has ripped her pads due to neglect of the park grounds, and I find the whole thing stinky and stressful. My dog loves every person and dog she meets, she doesn't mind foul odors, but she doesn't like baths which are required after playing at this park, cutting her feet, or being bit and mounted. Such potential if it was maintained and moderated. read more

I've been to the park a few times, but I won't be back. First, while there is a concrete area when you first come through the gates, the drop-off is quite high so I can't actually access the park area in my wheelchair so I'm stuck on the concrete while my dog is out in the park. Second, I'm truly concerned at the number of dog owners who take pride in not vaccinating their dogs. I had no idea there was an "anti-vaxxer" movement among pet owners. I lost several dogs to a virulent form of distemper carried by coyotes when we lived in Nevada, and I never want to see another animal suffer like that. And while my service dog is up-to-date with her shots, I'm fearful of her being exposed to unvaccinated dogs. read more

Just moved to the area and didn't know where to run my dogs. I have only taken one of my dogs to a dog park before. They are just so unappealing. This place is the typical fenced in dirt patch. The people tending to the place have several dogs that are real annoying and out of control. Another person brought a dog they knew was aggressive and turned him off leash. It flew across the park and onto my dog and I kicked it to get him off. No apology. They just said they were trying to socialize him so he won't have this behavior. It's too late for that! He needs to be on leash and reprimanded. I am now back to avoiding dog parks! read more

I've only had good experiences here. It was a place that not only my puppy enjoyed, but so did I. Yes, there was some heated dog activity, but the good experiences vastly outweighed the bad ones. Most of the time, this park was a safe haven for my dog and myself. read more

There is nothing wrong with the park. Irresponsible owners who bring reactive dogs, dogs who haven't learned manners, or dogs that are not under voice command need to do better at controlling their animals. I don't care what age the dog is, he/she need to be under the owners control period; if he/she is assaulting other dogs it is the owners job to leash their dog and control them. I've had a couple bad experiences due to owner negligence and would really appreciate if owners were more on top of watching their dogs. read more

Very nice little park. Lots of space to run and it's always clean and well kept. Wish there was more grass because the dogs kick up a lot of dust and dirt from running around. This yelp is not for the Dog Park itself this is for the people that bring vicious dogs into the park. If your dog is being vicious to other dogs in the dog park take it out. I was there today and a lady with a German Shepard and a older man with a Golden Retriever did not remove their dogs as they were attacking other dogs. And I'm not talking about rough playing I'm talking about making the whole park chaotic and yelping dogs. You people that decide it is a good idea to bring your vicious dog to "socialize" is ruining it for everyone else who has perfectly normal small or big dogs. Go take your dog elsewhere it's just making everyone uncomfortable and it's flat out rude and ignorant. read more

It's a fully fenced park. I liked that it is not just a flat piece of land so my dog can run up and down the hills. It's a decent size. All the dogs were friendly and well behaved. It is located in a secluded area behind some businesses which I thought was weird at first but I didn't mind it towards the end since that meant it was pretty quiet. read more

I'm at the dog park tonight with my dog and there's only a few other dogs there. Then this old lady comes into the big dog area with a tiny little Yorkie or something. First I'm worried that her dog is going to get eaten by my dog or another dog... but then this lady sits down on a bench in the dog park and pulls out a cheeseburger. Dog Park 101 lady, don't bring food into the park. Unless you want to get tackled for your burger. The whole time I'm being extra cautious of my dog to make sure he doesn't go near where she is, because he'll snatch that shit up in a second. I once saw a woman bring a burrito into a dog park we used to go to back home. She was overwhelmed with 10 hungry/curious dogs and almost got knocked over. She kept backing away not grasping the reality of the situation. People started yelling "NO FOOD IN THE PARK.. GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT BURRITO!!!" She's lucky she didn't get hurt as well. Fucking idiots. Dogs are unpredictable animals. Especially ones you don't know. On this same note, don't bring your baby or small child to the dog park. My dog squats near the edge of the fence by the water faucet but doesn't really poop anything out worthy of picking up. I couldn't even see it. It soaked into the loose straw they put out to absorb the mud around the water bowls. I let him run around a minute or two more and he acts like he wants to go. The lady is on the bench next to the gate to the park and as I get close to her she pipes up and says "you know your dog pooped in the straw but you didn't pick it up" WTF? I'm thinking to myself. This fucking bitch is going to try to school me on Dog Park Etiquette while she eats a juicy cheeseburger around a bunch of strange dogs? OH HELL NO! I told her it was a false poop and nothing came out to pick up... she kept trying to dog-park-guilt me into going back but my dog had his leash on and was ready. Fuck that bitch. She's lucky there wasn't a bigger dog with less self control and a less observant owner. I wanted to call her out on the burger but we gotta pick our battles. I just left the dog park . I've been going for about 2 weeks now with my 1 old dog . Today there was 2 dogs I hadn't seen before very large . Mastiffs . The male was not Neutered , and started humping my dog . Ok no biggie , happens all the time . But he wouldn't stop . I tried to pull my dog away and the Un neutered dog bit my dog on his back , enough to scare my dog . I asked the owner to get his dog and he said : Just let them finish . I said my dog is a boy !! . I then told him that he needed to watch his dog more closely because he isn't neutered . He told me it wasn't his fault , he couldn't afford to get his dog neutered . My dog was visible shaken and this dog was now following my dog around . This was a big dog . Full grown . The owner told me he didn't care about the rules he comes here every day and he wasn't leaving . We more exchanged words and I ended up leaving . This is ridiculous , isn't this supposed to be a safe place for us to come !! read more

Update: we've been trying the dog park again. I've decided it's somewhere between a game of Russian roulette and a calculated risk I can try to manage....went there the other day around 4pm, found a pretty good mix of dogs--one bigger pit mix that was a little snappy but not aggressive and the owner (thank you!) saw when it was time for the dog to have a little time out. Then at about 4:30, a guy came in with a big black lab and an Akita mix. He clearly didn't know how to manage them, the Akita growled at dogs through the fence (red flag #1!), he said "this guy (lab) is fine, it's this one (Akita) I have to worry about (red flag #2!)." Red flag 3: says it's his girlfriends dog and he just brought the dogs here on a whim because he didn't know what else to do with them. Red flag #4: leaves the self-described "problem" dog on a leash and brings it in the park, drops the black lab's leash and it runs off dragging the leash. I should be thankful he outed himself as someone who probably shouldn't have big hard-to-handle dogs in the first place, let alone try to bring them to the dog park. At least we got our cue to leave in no uncertain terms. Two stars this time although to be honest I don't feel that much better about it than I did before. If only there was some sort of screening process for idiots and shitty dog owners. read more
