I've had many massages over the years, and this was, without question, my favorite and the best massage I've ever received. Every detail was perfect, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and wants them to leave feeling better than when they arrived. My masseuse was Kenzi and she was so kind and made sure she knew what I wanted and where I had pain and what section of my back I don't like touched. My massage was 50 minutes and it was SO GOOD! I felt so relaxed and ready for my week after getting a massage. They also have scent boxes where you can pick your scents and in the rooms you can pick the music. So unfortuantely I canceled b/c I always felt my massages, although relaxing, were too short and only my backside was massaged in the 50 minutes. However, the experience was entirely ruined when I went to leave a tip upon exiting. I said to leave $10 on my card - which is a perfectly reasonable 17% tip on a service that costs $60. To that, my therapist flatly responded "No, that's not enough" and entered $20 instead. When I objected, she pulled out a "suggested tips" placard from behind the counter indicating that $15 was the suggested tip amount for a 60-minute massage. However, she hastened to add, "Only women leave me $15, if you are a man, you leave $20." I was dumbstruck, and frankly I should have grabbed my card right then and there and walked out due to her rudeness. But, due to the awkwardness of the situation, instead I only reiterated that I wanted to leave $10. In a huff, she entered $11 (not $10) and completed the transaction before I could stop her. Wanting to extricate myself from this incredibly uncomfortable situation as quickly as possible, I made no further argument and turned to leave. As I was leaving, she told me, "Next time you get massage somewhere else. You no come here again!" They won't have to worry about that. Buyer beware.

No one asked about our health, injuries, comfort, or treatment preferences beforehand. There was no receptionist, so when someone came in, my friend's therapist stopped the massage, left the room to help them, and answered calls--all of it audible to us. There was no aromatherapy, and the towel rubs were dry and rough. The therapists rubbed our buttocks and feet, then moved to our faces. My therapist even got onto the table and straddled my head. I found that startling and inappropriate. Our cards were charged before the service. Afterward, I left the tip line blank because of the unprofessional experience. We were stopped on our way out, and someone pointed to the blank tip space and said, "Tip." The session was distracting and uncomfortable, and the pressure to tip afterward made it worse. It was quiet, peaceful, and dark. I found out about Salon Aguilar at a pop-up event in Springdale where they were offering chair massages and mini facials. They had a special for a massage and facial for $95 so I decided to book an appt. I had the massage first with the owner Stephanie. She was great. Very thorough, talked with me first about my issues, always made sure I was comfortable. She didn't talk a lot during the massage, which was nice and she did a great job with my 30 minute treatment especially her arm massage. Emily did my facial after and I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect since she did not take much info at all from me and did not ask about my skin or customizing ingredients for me specifically. But she had a very healing touch and I loved the facial overall which included dermaplaning and a scalp massage. I do wish she would have told me what products she used, and like I said, she did not ask me about my skin and concerns at all. I didn't want her to really sell me products after but to show her expertise and knowledge by telling me what she used and what would work for me would have been nice. I will be back for both services. Great deal for a relaxing mini spa day.
