The ride was beautiful as we came closer to Montserrat, the basilica was phenomenal, the market was amazing. I ended up purchasing two delicious cheeses - goat and truffle. The walk to the cross was challenging as we had limited time but well worth it. It's an uphill climb. I loved the family history of the winery. The stability of the family to keep the property in the family for 36 generations since 964 was incredible. The vineyards were started in the 1800's. The ambience was perfect with stone cellars and towers. Great place for an event. Loved it! If you go to Barcelona, DON'T miss it!

Be mindful you may not have great phone service up there so as the lady said next time she screen shotting the barcodes ahead of time. They do have ticket booths on site though so you could buy them at the window. I'm not sure if the price is different there or not. Well worth it!

The views of Barcelona city alone were gorgeous & I'm happy we went near sunset time to capture some beautiful photos. We went around 8pm, hopped off to get some flicks, then walked back to hop on the last departure (8:45pm). They close at 9pm. Make sure to take screenshots of the tickets before going up to redeem the tickets; I didn't have the best service and had to wait a few minutes for the app to load the ticket barcodes. We had a fantastic wedding in Barcelona but unfortunately BusPlus was the only one of our many…read morevendors that hugely disappointed us. We used BusPlus as they were on the recommended list of bus companies for our wedding venue but we would not use them again or recommend them to others. Communication in the run up to the wedding was poor, where we needed to chase them for responses, and where responses came they were abrupt and dismissive. However, the most frustrating thing was they totally ignored the agreement that we made around the configuration of the buses, which caused issues on the day. The venue we used had a narrow lane leading up to the venue, which meant limits on the sizes of the buses that could be used. We were extremely clear when we made the booking that it was important for all buses to arrive at the same time to avoid delays to the ceremony, and that we wanted all of our guests to leave the venue at the same time (even if this meant using more buses) rather than having to wait for a bus transfer to another bus. The agreement that we made was made on this basis; for example the schedule that we approved said 1am departure, with no mention of staggered departures. After making the booking, we heard from the co-ordinator at our wedding venue that recent weddings at that venue had used bus transfers from a bigger bus to a smaller bus (meaning staggered arrivals) and we got in touch with BusPlus once again (several months before the wedding) to say that we wanted to avoid this 'at all costs' and asking for confirmation that smaller buses would be used instead so all of our guests could arrive and depart at the same time. BusPlus gave this confirmation over email and literally said 'all guests will arrive at the same time' In reality, what happened was that half of our guests had to transfer from a bigger bus to a small bus, which meant that there was a 15-20 minute delay between the two sets of guests arriving (which delayed the start of the ceremony). On the way back, there was also around a 20 minute delay; the first set of guests left at 1am as per the scheduled but the other half of our guests had to wait at the venue for a second bus to arrive. Despite following up with BusPlus after the wedding for clarification on why this took place, they have still not explained why they changed the arrangements. This is even though we asked for, and received from them, explicit confirmation from them that they would not be doing bus transfers. We are exploring our options for refunds, but I have never encountered a wedding vendor that would change the arrangements from the agreed configuration without telling the client, and then refusesing to explain why afterwards. Whereas we had many vendors who delivered exceptional service and made our day extremely special, BusPlus were unfortunately an exception and we could not recommend them.

This is the main train station in the city, and as such it's quite large with several different areas and connections. I was a little confused once we arrived as I needed to find the Metro, but after orienting myself it was no issue. Besides that, Barcelona Sants Estació is really no frills. It got me where I needed to go, and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

So paths are a bit constricted and not clearly marked. I recently took the inOui from Paris to BCN, a 7 hour trip that was nicer than the bustle of air travel. Arriving at 10 pm BCN Sants was quite busy, but was able to pop up easily and get out of the station. I would have liked to have grabbed a sandwich to take to the hotel, but construction made it impossible to find a vendor. The outside construction and some rain made areas a muddy and rough mess. Bummer, it has been a great station in the past. Just be aware of pick pockets here.

There are also separate tickets available to go to the airport. The kiosk is fairly easily to use although we wanted to speak with an agent to make certain we understood. An agent is available and we spoke to her. She only spoke Spanish and I was able to decipher what she was telling us. We ended up purchasing one of the unlimited tickets. Tickets become validated the moment you use them to enter the station. Outside of the station are Metro maps. Be sure to grab one so that you know which route to use. It is an easy system provided you're on the correct platform going in the direction desired. The locals will help you as some speak English. Luckily I knew the Spanish terminology. Clean and safe although the trains tend to be very crowded. Trains run fairly often. Just be aware of your important items.

Google Maps and the Citymapper app helped me plot my journey across my time in Barcelona, but the stations clearly point out the stops as needed. They do go a bit deeper underground, but the stations itself are more accessible friendly due to the 92 Olympics. When inside the train, most of the announcements are indeed in Spanish, but you can figure out where you need to go. Just like most cities in Europe, remember to open the latch or press the button to exit the train. Overall, an easy and pleasant way to get around Barcelona.

On a sunny, cool day, the upper deck is the best. You will be given a pair of disposable headphones to understand the commentary. Many languages are available all from the plug in boxes located at each seat. Midday is most crowded but they will have busses constantly running the routes. They will offer an option to upgrade to the 48 hour pass if you feel you didn't have enough time to see everything. To traverse the entire route without getting off, plan for 120 minutes with all the traffic and stops along the way.

We caught the line first thing in the morning walking a short distance from our hotel. Seated ourselves in the open air section on top, it was slightly cool however we were prepared with windbreakers. Although I should have worn my hat and brought water. The bus took us past all the main tourist spots, the audio plug on the bus made it possible to follow the prerecorded guide. This was a great way to see if there were areas that we would like to visit in the future. The bus provided earbuds. We had to ask for them, the young guy checking us in seemed a little out of sorts. We didn't hop off accept to changed buses for the other route.
