Still heard nothing,I guess it just goes to show that big companies really don't give a dam about about poor service,they made the mistake and I was penalized for it.....never again will I or my staff and friends rent a car from Europcar .There's plenty car rental agencies out there that do care. Enterprise,Budget,Sixt and so on......I got taken but never again.What a lazy bunch of staff,All they had to do was call me and none of this would be necessary.....just bone idle I just rented a car from Budget and it was great,they didn't give my car away to someone else then have the audacity to make me rent a way more expensive car,I'm not done with them yet.I'm just going to charge back the extra cost..... read more

Overall a very solid rental car experience with Europecar in Newquay. We were at the back of a pretty long queue by the time we got our luggage and made it to the car rental building. But they were efficient and we got our car without undue waiting. We were upgraded to a VW diesel which got great gas mileage. The left rear tire had a very slow leak, which we decided to ignore (and just pump up a few times during the two weeks rather than bother with the hassle of getting it fixed. We did report it on return, so I assume it will be fixed for the next renter). Other than that, everything went well. Pick up and drop off was easy. Car was great. Price was good too. read more

Our Europecar vehicle was brought here on a truck when it got a flat tire in Tintagel. We were visiting from San Francisco on vacation. After calling the help number on our agreement we waited 5 hours for a tow truck. We'd call every 90 minutes or so and be assured one would be on it's way in around 45 minutes. The worst was yet to come,when we arrived, eventually at the Europecar office, an individual calling himself Alex, TOLD us to DRIVE the vehicle to a tire repair shop.. this was around 6.30pm on a Saturday night. According to him there were no cars available. Whether our arrival was not communicated to him or not I don't know. But the debacle started at noon. We checked the parking lot behind the office and saw around 6 vehicles. Alex's story changed saying he was waiting for a customer who'd been delayed. It seemed that it was lost on him that we had been delayed since noon that day. Almost a whole day of vacation. He, in his own words gave the other customer a MASSIVE UPGRADE, alloting him a small economy car. Then after 40 minutes of waiting and very slow non service, we were alloted a smaller car than we'd turned in. Alex needs to learn customer service, Europecar need to have timely services in place in the event of a customer needing a replacement vehicle. Never, never again. Alex's manner was most unprofessional rude and surly. The email we were provided to bring this to the attention of Europecar was never answered... need I say more. read more

We were staying at a local Camping and Caravan Club site in our Motorhome and they were ideally suited just one bus stop away. Booked a Fiat 500, ideal for local Cornish roads. Europcar delivered a prompt efficient service,would definitely use again. read more

We had a very good experience last weekend when we hired a car from Europcar at Newquay Airport. We were given an upgrade - a virtually brand new car - and treated liked truly valued customers, even though it was our first time there. The staff were most courteous and friendly, and the office is very conveniently located right outside the terminal building. Only one criticism: I needed a quick run-through of the operation of this car as it had much more up to date features than my own. I found a staff member in the car park and he demonstrated what I needed to be shown, so that was fine, but I think this should have been covered as a matter of course when I was handed the keys. We would definitely go straight to Europcar next time we rent, the price / quality ratio was excellent. read more
