This shop could not fix my car. It's a 1988. He said that only old guys can fix old cars! When I went to have it towed he would not release the car. I paid by check and he would not release the car to the tow truck until the check cleared. He was extremely rude about it; even said 'Don't roll your eyes at me.' The worst. read more

i was reccommended by a co worker and received a night mare . i had my s550 mercedes benz towed there to have a starter replaced and the nightmare started iv'e always kept my car up through mercedes benz but went looking to save money through lou the owner of european auto vineland nj after the car was supposed to be finished i went to go pay and pick up my car the front middle under carriage was dented and scraped up , the spare tire was missing and my special lug wrench was missing the owner lou pretended he didn't know of that damage and that it was probably already there knowing that full well he caused the damage also lou the owner stated maybe the tow company caused the damage and low and behold before i could get to the tow company this idiot called the tow company and told them to not pay for my car because it was neither of their faults knowing full well that he was responsible for the damage . i would not have paid him if i had saw that first and that he robbed me blind on price and tore up and stole parts from my car . i wound up paying to get my car repaired and painted and caught a flat tire later and having to buy a brand new tire and lugs this company sucks and they are thieves and crooks lou has a big mouth and very nasty and disrespectful i would not recommend this shop at all get overs is what they are . i would have taken him to court but wasn't feeling to well at the time so he was able to get over . i hope this man and his family has the worst luck with his business ever bums!! please don't go ther losers!!!! read more

I took my car here for service based off a friend's recommendation. She has a BMW and needed a bunch of maintenance work done and went here based off a recommendation of a guy at work. She was really pleased with the price and quality of work. I have a ten year old japanese car that has been good to me that I am trying to keep running as long as I can. I know their speciality is european but I went here anyway. I find Lou to be very informative and I definitely get a good vibe regarding the honesty factor. When you are a female who has no mechanical knowledge whatsoever, this is a very sensitive subject. No one wants to feel like they are being taken for a ride. He always makes sure you understand what was done to your car and what the next smart preventative maintenance item should be to keep it running. I find his pricing to be fair. I was extremely impressed when he called me a couple of days after fixing my car to make sure I was ok and that the car was running smoothly. He knew I had a long commute to work over the Commodore Barry Bridge and my radiator had failed while I was crossing the bridge and stressed me out to the umpth degree. The car was in a cloud of steam and I couldn't see then it powered off. Not a fun day for a woman alone. Lou fixed it and called afterwards to ensure all was still well. I have even called him at the shop when I was on the road about something odd happening and he talked me through it to make sure I was ok. If this is not going above and beyond the call of duty I don't know what is. This is why I will continue to give his shop my business and recommend European Auto Specialists to anyone I know who may be looking for a new mechanic. Lou stayed in constant communication, gave good advice and completed the work on time at a fair price. I have been a customer for several years now , and just this week while running errands my car began running on 3 cylinders . I called from my car to see if I could limp in and have it looked at ? They said sure , bring it in . Lou came out took it around back , I waited about 20 min. ....for the "bad news " Lou came out , "it's done , your ok " He had a good used part handy and was able to fix it .......then he said N/C ! My family (3 european car drivers + 1 honda driver) and I have been getting our cars serviced here since Lou and his wife opened up the shop. From the get-go, European Auto has been extremely professional, knowledgeable and always there for you. I never had an issue with any of the services that I received from Lou and his team, and he is very reasonable in price. If for some reason that an issue arose, Lou was quick to fix the issue at no charge (if him or his team performed the job and then the same issue popped up). He always did what I asked, and he called if there was a major $$$ issue that needed resolving! On another note, as a young college student years ago, I would need services on the drop of a dime and European Auto was always there. I never made appointments, and Lou never said no. They also usually gave me my car back the same day that I happened to drop it off. He's all about customer service!!!! Unfortunately, my husband's step-father owns a similar place so I (actually my husband does and then he performs the oil changes and routine maintenance himself) now take my Jetta up there. If it wasn't for my husband doing the routine stuff himself along with his step-dad's help, I would still be a customer of European Auto Specialists!
