First time going there for massage. Parking is behind it which I didn't know so I parked further away. Everyone was pleasant enough at the front desk. I had a good massage. Very firm. Released a lot of tension. Not the warmest experience which is ok. I would definitely go back and try again try some other things. Received a Signature Body Massage from Jessica B. She was professional and created a calm, comfortable environment. The massage itself was amazing and I wish it had gone on forever. My best friend is (as her title suggests) the best!! For my birthday this year she gave me a gift card to European Touch! I have driven by for years and always wanted to see what it had to offer. Her gift card gave me the option to choose anything I'd like so I chose a bikini wax and a European facial. This entire experience from start to finish was magical. And to say that about a bikini wax is pretty notable. This place is clean and inviting. I felt fancy and relaxed as soon as I stepped inside. It was hard to select which facial I wanted because their menu of options is quite impressive. After discussing it with the lovely woman who provided my service we landed on the European. I used to love this place! I hadn't been in a couple of years so my sister and I decided to treat ourselves with a couple of treatments for a girl's day. I got a massage and facial; my sister scheduled a pedicure and facial. My sister's pedicure got canceled because the provider's daughter was out of school. On short notice, they couldn't find a replacement. My massage was good. The building is older which gives it charm, but that also means you hear EVERYTHING! Throughout my entire massage, I listened to the loud steps of the people walking across the room above mine (which was the reception area). The floorboards squeaked and creaked the whole time making it difficult to find it relaxing. My facial followed. It was one of the worst I've had. I got the anti-aging facial. It was basically the aesthetician cleansing my face followed by a vigorous massage, a mask and the application of products. When the aesthetician left to allow my mask to set, I heard all the conversations of the people outside the room. She came back in, put moisturizer on my face, said that was it and exited, turning on the bright lights as she left. I think worse than any of this was that my sister fell down the stairs. She got up and said she was fine. Anyone who has fallen down stairs knows that the issues show up the next day. No one called to check on her to make sure she was ok. And my sister goes there regularly. Disappointing. read more

I received a gift certificate here as a Hanukkah present. I decided to use it on a prenatal massage and spa pedicure. Customer service here is excellent. The employees make you feel pampered and make the experience here even more enjoyable. The massage room is on the bottom floor and is very quiet. The masseuse used lotion instead of oil which I really liked. The spa pedicure felt great and my toes looked wonderful afterwards. This is my go-to spa in Winston and I've been a customer for almost 15 years. It's pricey but the service is exceptional. It's very clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I love their facials, and go here when I want a spray tan before a vacation. They have a nice selection of polish and they're always in great shape/nearly new. No crusty or half empty bottles here. They have all the newest shades of CND and OPI. For a facial, ask for Danuta. Waxing? Try Melissa. Stephanie for spray tanning and massages. All of the nail techs are fantastic. They sell lots of products in house and wrap gift certificates in cute packaging. Finally, I love that ET supports the community. I received a manicure and pedicure about a month ago and for the price I was expecting fancy....(if you've ever been to NY....Bliss Spa Like) It's definitely better than your average nail salon in the malls or shopping plaza but I'll be honest I have had better in NJ/NY. I'm not expecting my feet to be dipped in gold but for $90 I would expect some special treatment of scrubs or fancy moisturizer. The manicurist was super nice and that's why it's a 4 star. The atmosphere is nice, tranquil, clean and historic....building was once living quarters. My only complaint is that I expected more for the price. I may go back to try facials or massages. I went here for a 90 minute massage today. The massage itself was okay. However, the atmosphere was the most non-relaxing I've ever experienced. The massage room is right off of the front entrance and right in front of their manicure stations. The entire massage I constantly heard conversations and every greeting/phone call from reception. I even got to hear the zen sound of someone's fingernails being clipped. It was absurd. The room itself was also too brightly lit to be relaxing. I was so disappointed in this massage experience. The setting is top notch for Winston-Salem: a cute white stucco cottage on the grounds of Reynolda Village, adjacent to historic Reynolda House and Wake Forest University. The salon uses top quality materials. No generic bottles of polish remover sitting around and no wrapping my Shellac nails in cotton balls and aluminum foil. No noisy TVs, just tranquil bubbling water in my pedicure bath and in my bottle of Perrier. Yes, when I asked for water they asked "still or sparkling?" Sweet thang!
