I will start off by saying not all stores are created equal- I love the Murrieta Hot Springs one and the cal oaks one but here at the MENIFEE location, [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the customer service for me and giving a 3 is being generous. I consistently have issues at only this location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have a full bikini pass and added a butt strip and she told me it was $79! Excuse me I have a pass so I told her just add the butt strip, then she tells me it's $25 for just that! So I ask when did that happen? And gives me a saucy look with saying idk! I told her I go often and the other stores are cheaper. She does not care. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another girl chimes in to help her and she at least said sorry and fixed it to the correct amount of $14.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The original gal never apologized and just had a nasty arrogance about her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Idk why it's hard to apologize for trying to overcharge your customer and make them wait way longer than needed. The wax specialist wasn't great either, I asked her to apply pressure and she barely did it and then had to do way too many strips (I go often, so I know) and she left a bunch of wax still on me. EDIT: Bri reached out to me and refunded my service and we talked about my experience which I appreciated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lady who did my brows was super nice which is why I put 2 stars.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I saw my brows the shape was fine but it burned badly when she put the serum on which I thought might be normal. I haven't ever had issues with waxing my brows or upper lip. I am honestly not sure if I am burned or if my skin is ripped/damaged but it's been several hours and the pain has not subsided. I also went in because I have an event to attend to in a few days. I will likely have a very visible scab now for this event. I'm super disappointed and upset I wasted $30+ on this service. I won't be returning to this location again. I filed a complaint online and will also be contacting them for a refund as this is unacceptable. read more

Honestly i'm pretty disappointed and frustrated. I went here about a month ago and had a very bad experience. The girl who did my brazilian wax was really nice, but she did a poor job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No matter how many times i kept expressing the wax was WAY too hot, she wouldn't let it cool down enough because she was too busy talking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And she kept pulling the wax off Straight up into the air, rather than as close to the skin as possible. As a result from too hot of wax and all around a poor wax job, i have had extremely bad ingrown hair problems and scabbing. The ingrowns simply will not go away or heal. Started coming here again, with a new waxing specialist, Odalys, and have been pretty happy with her services. I had come here a few times prior and seen other specialist and although they were nice and completed the service in a timely manner, I would leave with hair still on my legs. Now having gotten serviced here again Odalys has done a full face wax on me as well as routine Brazilian waxes, both of which are done very effectively. I also appreciate that she doesn't try to shove products I do not need down my throat however does an excellent job in educating me in products that can be a positive addition to my skincare routine. Aside from the waxing specialists the location itself is very clean and organized, the only other thing I would point out is the front desk staff. The receptionist are not always the most pleasant and seem to gain a condescending tone when you don't purchase a wax package or ask them for assistance. Not to mention going into grave detail in regard to their personal lives and or struggles. I'm not against making conversation but it just doesn't seem like the most appropriate conversations to have where clients can clearly hear you. I would definitely suggest some tips in professionalism to these ladies as well as basic manners. read more

Update: I now see Hanna for my brows and is the one waxer I definitely recommend!! She makes you feel comfortable and always does an amazing job! EWC Menifee visits have always been a great experience from previous years as I had lived in local area. However since moving back 6 years later & not really sure of which Wax Specialist to book with was a bit nerve wrecking to say the least. However I must admit that Yelp has a way of paying it forward bc after doing some research on here & reading customer reviews has helped me in choosing my appointment with Samantha. Unfortunately have to change my rating from 5 to 1. My waxer tonight, Desirae, was amazing. 5 stars for her. The girls at the desk, not so much. They were extremely pleasant towards each other but cold and unwelcoming to me. Ruins the entire experience. What's with receptionists at European Wax Center always having some type of attitude? The blank stares mixed with bothered looks and awkward silence for literally no reason when first coming in and while paying. I swear it's a sales tactic at this point, try to make you feel insecure like you have to prove yourself and spend a ton lol. They had about 4 different opportunities to verify the promotion that I was using, which I informed them of well ahead of time. Finally get up to the counter so I can tip my waxer. Showed them the free wax promotion email which I was instructed to do by the first woman I spoke with when I made the appointment. They say it appears I've already used it. How? I was sent the promotion literally 3 days ago and it's been 6 MONTHS since my last time here. After going back and forth at the computers and studying the email, the African American girl goes "I'll have to use this code I'm not supposed to use. I'll just get in trouble for it, it's fine". As if to try and guilt me into paying full price for a wax that was supposed to be free. So they've resorted to bait and switch now... cute. I don't appreciate the insinuation that I was doing wrong by them and getting them in trouble for wanting to redeem a promotion that was sent to me. Never again. read more

I wasn't expecting excellent quality work done for been the first time and if so it would be surprisingly good because of the area where I live but this place left me with more than 20 bumps and ingrown marks and hair. I use to come here to see Virginia (for Brazilians) but apparently she left about two months ago. They didn't call to let me know and just switched the appointment with someone else. I called and asked them because I was able to see it on the app. That's when they informed me that unfortunately Virginia was no longer with EWC. They booked me with Priscilla which was very sweet and friendly. The only problem was the wax was way too hot and she literally burned my V. I've came in many times and I've never had any issue prior. It left my skin bumpy and irritated for about a week and I haven't gone back because I'm not sure which wax specialist to go with. I've been here a few times now so I'll finally write my review. I've been going to Sydney a few times now but started going to Jessica recently since Sydney's schedule doesn't always align with mine. I like this place because they make things so easy for me. Sydney is not pushy at all and is very friendly. She helps me ease on doing my brazilian each and every time. No matter how many times I do it, it hurts but she helps me take my mind off of it and prepares me for the areas that hurt. She tells me when to take a deep breath and she talks about other subjects to keep my mind off of it and just like that, I'm done. I also left there with some products that I now use to prevent ingrown hairs. I got the serum and the wipes to help and I can totally see a difference. I like their wax since they don't do strip waxing, which feels like it hurts a lot more. This wax, is pretty strong and can take off a lot in just a short period of time. Pre-scheduling makes my life a bit easier as well and i love that I can change my appointments without so much of a fuss. The big thing for me, is that they're open pretty late, and I've had appointments as late as 7:40 pm, which works for me since I have kids and coming home from work, it fits my schedule. read more

European Wax Center - Waxing Near Me - Menifee, California

After going to my original waxing lady got a few years, it became more difficult to schedule with her and more expensive. I urgently needed somewhere to get a Brazilian. I have heard horror stories of these places for Brazilians, they are in a time crunch and need to get you in and out asap so they use larger wax strips, which is more painful. This was NOT my experience. My waxing specialist, Hannah, was quick but made the experience as comfortable as possible. She talked to me the whole time to distract me from what was going on down there. She also did an amazing job on my eyebrows. This is my first experience here and I have not had the opportunity to meet another waxing specialist, but why fix it if it ain't broke? I will continue to use Hannah for my waxing service and I will continue to visit European wax center as it was easy to schedule and the entire staff was friendly. read more
