After a really bad eyebrow waxing experience here last year I was hesitant to return to this location. But after the completely disrespectful customer service at the Glassboro location I found myself booking here again. This time was with Brielle. She is awesome and I cannot say enough good things about her!!! She was SOOOOOO careful and reassuring with my brow wax. She had me hold the mirror and went step by step with me to make sure I was happy with my brows. Brielle is definitely the kind of waxer you want to see after a nightmare experience due to her attention to detail and her willingness to ask you how YOU like your brows!!! She is very talented and client oriented. Checking out was smooth and the receptionist was helpful and not at all pushy with the wax pass package like some locations are. I was convinced to go here because a lady said priya was amazing, so I booked with priya due to that. Note that this was my first time getting waxed. I thought she would be great with how she welcomed me and all but tell me why this lady was so rude to me inside, despite me telling her am new to this. I screamed at the first round because I was suprised the pressure from the wax. She threatened and told me she was going to stop the service if I screamed once again. I deal with annoying customers everyday so I know to not act like one, but this lady made me stop waxing midway. I booked with Shana in the location in Sicklerville and let me tell you the greeting she gave me, the vibe in the room the whole time was awkward I don't know something was off she barley talked and when I was asking her about schooling for waxing her facial expressions gave off as if I'm bothering her as I'm just trying to make conversation. i was visiting from California and i have the unlimited wax pass for a full face service. This location was closest to me. Worst place ever. The girl way over waxed my eyebrows. It actually hurt whenever she ripped the wax off, which usually doesn't happen. And to top it off, the next morning after my wax, my face was SCABBED. I never had that issue with my regular location. they should hire people who know what they're doing. don't go to this location. read more

I am completely satisfied with this EWC in Sicklerville. My wax technician, Dani, is the quickest and best waxer they have. I have extremely thick hair and Dani made sure to make it as painless and as speedy as possible. She is extremely professional and a pleasure to chat with. I would HIGHLY recommend her, but just know that her appointments fill up quickly. This location is about 30 minutes from where I live but they will keep my business because of Dani. As for the rest of the staff, they have been nothing but respectful and cordial over the phone and in person. read more

When I moved to this area last year, I decided to try this location. My waxer was horrible! I wish I could remember her name. She kept waxing each area over and over and over again unnecessarily and got baby powder EVERYWHERE. Even my glasses ended up with baby powder on them. I asked her how long she had been waxing, and she said about 4 months. It definitely showed! I decided to go to the Cherry Hill location, which I love! Linda is awesome ! However, a year later, between the traffic and horrible parking at that location, I knew I had to find something more convenient. I went on Yelp and read several positive reviews about a waxer named Dani at this location. After that horrible experience the previous year, I was still hesitant, but I decided to give this location another try. I'm glad I did. Dani was excellent! She was friendly, funny, professional, and knew exactly what she was doing. I would definitely recommend booking an appointment with her! read more

First of all, whomever answers the phone needs customer service training. Second, ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!! I called 3 times to explain I was stuck in traffic, on the 4th (yes FOURTH) call they finally answer, but put me on hold for 5 minutes. I show up 8 minutes past my appointment time. The 9 minute grace period automatically cancels your appointment so I was standing in front of the girl as the 9 minute mark hits..... she says "You missed the grace period, when would you like to reschedule?" Seriously?! I get it, late is late, but traffic control is not my occupation and driving 40 minutes for a wax, well that won't be happening anymore. Needless to say, the rude/condescending response I received will be noted and expressed to anyone asking about this place. I won't be returning and I certainly won't be positively promoting it. read more

The location is convenient if you're in the area. There are lots of places to shop with parking lots as well as places to eat. I have been coming here since it's close to my mom's when I come to visit but I have only had one time when I did not have to go back for touch ups the next day. They are always friendly and accommodating in regard to appointments. Would love to have made this my spot since it's so close but I'll be venturing out after this. read more

I am unfortunately updating my review on EWC. I called today because I noticed the waxer I have been going to for over 2 years was not on the schedule at all. The woman who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional. She informed me Dee broke her ankle and was going to be out :( I was explaining that it would have been nice if someone told me this before my Brazilian appt tomorrow afternoon. She put me on hold then proceeded to tell a co-worker I was "flipping out" I confronted her on it and then asked to speak to a manager. The manager Amanda was extremely accommodating and nice to work with. Unfortunately I am going to switch to the Deptford location. I will not support a location that makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm upset it had to end this way. Dee is amazing!! I've been going to her for 6 months now for a Brazilian. She is very personable and one of the best waxers I have been to.. I have been going to this location of European Wax Center for 1 1/2 now for brazilian waxes and they are ok. I recently just found a new wax place called Claudia's Brazilian wax and it blows EWC out the water . I thought I knew everything about waxes, until I tried somewhere else. All in all , I don't like their waxing technique , it's far more painful then it could/should be , not to mention after every wax I'm a bit irritated , something that I did not experience at my new wax studio . I also think they are heavily overpriced 59$ plus tip for a brazilian wax when you have other places charging 35$-50$max . I don't think their services are worth the price. I would suggest to look around for other waxing studios before deciding on EWC. read more

I purchased a brazilian package in 2018, and every time I finished an appointment, I would ask the front desk associates how many I had left, because there's no way for me to know otherwise, and I didn't keep track over a year and a half's time. In June the front desk told me that I had one more brazilian left in my package, so I scheduled for another appointment. Upon finishing with my appointment, I was informed that I was being charged for the session plus what I wanted to tip. This confused me because I was told that I had one more left in my package. After speaking with the manager and requesting a refund for being outright deceived, the only compensation I was given was $25 store credit. I will not be coming back nor will I refer anybody to this place. read more

The waxier I had was terrific, and extremely friendly. However, I was checked in by Queeny outside and I didn't know the Covid process. This lady told me read the instructions, and was extremely rude. As I was leaving she still had an attitude. I usually don't complain but this is totally unacceptable. I was so nervous for my first wax but, the moment I walked in everyone was so friendly that I immediately felt at ease. My waxing specialist, Tanya, was amazing and very professional. She made me feel very relaxed during my first Brazilian. I would totally recommend requesting her! When scheduling my appointment a week before, I don't know who I spoke with but, she was very short with me. I wish I would've never did that. I had a new person dressed in white who was very shaky. I can't explain to her it was OK! Current day my vagina is so bumpy. This was my first brazilian and had questions but she couldnt stop playing with her hair, smiling at herself in the mirror and being mesmerized by herself. NOT comfortable when someone has hot wax! I had a poor experience at the naked peach in philly, so I wasn't sure what to expect at EWC. the store front was bright and welcoming, and the back waxing rooms were so clean and well kept. This is my second wax experience here at the European Wax Center. I have been going to Carmela. The first time i went to her i had only grown out my hair for a week and a half so she informed me she could preform the wax but she wouldn't be able to get every single hair which i was okay with since you are technically supposed to grow your hair out anywhere from 2-4 weeks. So i went back the next time after 4 weeks and she still did not get all of the hairs. She works very quickly and it normally is not painful but if i'm getting waxed, i would let to be completely hairless. She does not go back and perfect her work but she is pregnant so i will keep going to her until she goes on maternity leave but after that i will be trying out a different wax specialist. read more

Went today for a Brazilian (my first ever) and an eyebrow wax. The Brazilian was not very painful at all. I was pleasantly surprised. I've had eyebrow waxes here and there over the years and every time....and I mean every time....I've had them done, my skin turns scary red and I get raised welts and sometimes bleed. Yeah, I have super sensitive skin. That's the reason I don't have them waxed very often. But I was a glutton for punishment and decided to do them again. For the first time ever in my life, I'm not red AT ALL. Wow. I had Roseann. Maybe it's her technique. Maybe it's the wax. Who knows. But it was great. I'll be back. read more

Best waxing place around. While it's convenient to get your waxing done at the same place you do your nails or hair, they don't normally do as good of a job because it's not their focus. They do a great job of waxing because that's their specialty. Also the quality of their wax is superior and contains no alcohol to dry out your skin. read more

DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION - I REPEAT, DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION! Signed up for this wax pass for several areas of my body in July - this location has canceled the day of on me 3 times in a row since signing up for the pass which is a huge inconvenience as any one who waxes knows because you schedule with the intention of growing your hair out to get it removed on the scheduled date! Have only been able to use the pass 2 times - the day I signed up and the next appointment (which i received a text canceling the day of but I was able to get an appointment only after insisting) They never offer to fit you in on your scheduled day or provide any sort of resolution. Front counter girls are snobbish and rude and completely indifferent to the inconvenience it causes the customer. I requested to speak with the Supervisor the 3rd/last time this happened and was given the run around - was told they weren't in and were unsure of when they would be in next but would pass my request to speak along. I never received any call back. Currently in the process of disputing the charges for the wax pass since I have been unable to use the pass due to this location's horrible customer service and issues with scheduling. Apparently the manager of the store advised my cc company I attended sessions on the dates they canceled, and are unable to provide proof of this! So on top of the horrible customer service - they are liars. Luckily I have text/vm confirming cancellations. So I made an appointment to get waxed on 4/5/21 for 330pm. It was rescheduled for 4pm with no notice or explanation as to why the change. I notified them of the change and we went for 345pm. Then it was changed again and  we finally ended up with 1030am. The inconvenience of the schedule changes was unacceptable. I had to keep changing my plans for this appointment.  Just a heads up for all new customers.  Your  first time getting waxed you don't have the option of choosing who you want to wax you and if you are being referred by someone to a special waxer they give you trouble about your choice. And at anytime they can change your waxer or time of  appointment without notice. So today 4/5/21, I went to get waxed and I was very unhappy with the level of care I was given. The waxer  DANI who was highly recommended as the best waxer at the facility who has years of experience did not live up to her high praise. She was not gentle or patient with me beings though this was my first time being waxed. She was also rushing me and that made me uncomfortable.  I felt like she didn't handle me with care or give me the great customer service I was told about. So once I got home to look at my results  I was very unhappy.  There was visible hair left under my arms and on my vagina. There also was dried wax left on my vagina.  It took me 10mins to get the wax off. THAT is Unacceptable.  Before I got off the table she should've made sure all the wax was off of me. Dani not insuring that all of the wax was properly removed  is bad customer service.  Because I was unhappy with the service I called to make a complaint with management  about my service today I was met with unprofessionalism. They failed to notify me that if I am unhappy with my service I have a 5 day grace period to have them fix it. They are not required to inform you of this. The person on the phone had an attitude when I was expressing my issues  with my service today about the scheduling issues and wax being left on me. I was tod the way to get the wax off was to simply take a shower.  I replied saying I wasn't notified of how to remove wax.. she said its common sense.  Common sense or not the wax shouldn't have been left on me period.. it is the waxers job to insure that all wax is removed before the client gets up off the table.  She also said she would let management know of my complaints and if management felt there was a problem after reviewing you the complaint  then they would contact you. Her response was very unprofessional.  That's not how you run a business. This was the worst experience I have every had. It's sad when you are being referred to this person and this is the experience you have. I WAS NOT given the great customer service I was promised  and I would not refer anyone here or ever come back again. read more

I heard great things about this place and chose to go here for my first Brazilian before I went on vacation. I called to book an appointment and asked the consultant if there was anything I needed to do to prepare upon arriving. She said , "nope, exfoliate if you want and let "it" grow". That was all. 5 days later I arrive at the appointment. I was not asked any questions at the desk. I checked in and was sent back with whoever was supposed to wax me. The first thing she asked was "when's the last time you shaved?" I informed her it was 5 days prior. She said "you're too short, you have to rebook in 3 weeks" and led me back out to the front desk. No explanation or empathy. She was quite blunt and rude. I grew frustrated as I had now driven a half hour for this appointment to be sent home. I was never told until then that I had to grow my hair out for 3 weeks.. not by the person on the phone or the lady at the desk when I got there. It took until I was in the wax room to be told and shooed out. My hair grows fast, and I figured it had to be a certain length before I got waxed but this was never clarified by anyone. The website says 1/4 of an inch. Nowhere says 3 weeks. I was forced to by a $17 bottle of exfoliant and sent home to come back in three weeks... I would still like a Brazilian but am considering going somewhere else. I was quite disappointed which is unfortunate because I was looking forward to the "great" experience here. read more

Yesterday was my first experience at EWC my experience was only ok the place was very clean and the receptionist was nice also my waxer that is the only reason I gave them 3 stars. My service was more like 2 I came in for a Brazilian Wax. I arrived 15 mins early.. when I booked my appointment online my confirmation my waxer name was Gianna. So as I'm waiting a waxer comes out look as though she was about to go on break but the receptionist asked her to take me the vibe that I got was that she rather had went on break then took me so she takes me back tells me to strip down from the bottoms only and tells me to hope on the bed.... for some reason this wax was more painful then any other wax I have ever had.. she was got done literally felt like 15 mins usually my wax takes at least 30-40 mins so I'm thinking okay she must be good at what she does. I hop off the table and proceed to pay.. I still felt wax stuck to my skin and in my back area.. and come to find out the waxer that was on my confirmation email name Gianna was not the person who waxed me. So I leave and go home finally take a look in the mirror and she missed lots of places were hair could have been waxed off.. she missed a big section in my back area.. i was very disappointed.. I called the wax center and stated my issue and they stated that I could come in the next day for a touch up.. which is an inconvenience to me .. I felt like she rushed it and didn't take her time to check if all the hair that was able to be removed was actually removed. I was go back today and hopefully it is done right I will NOT be booking another appointment with them. I had a way better experience at Coco Miyagi I stop going because it was getting expensive but I think I may have to go back. Also Naked Peach also had better service and actually took there time with you. I do not recommend this place for anyone. read more
