I'll be very honest with you. I felt like I was not wanted in this facility. I've been to other EWC facilities where I felt welcome and like I was wanted to be there. It was like it was an inconvenience for me to be there, they treated me as low as a 12-year-old not knowing what I was doing and like it was an inconvenience for them. I definitely will not be coming back to this facility for any type of services. I did get my service conducted. The waxing person was phenomenal. She was probably the only nice person in there. But as far as reception and just the vibe I got I will never come back to this facility again I'll find another waxer to do what I need done. read more

The wax specialist I usually see is Elisabeth, she is professional sweet and kind. She really does enjoy her job and makes you feel at ease. It a process that can be embarrassing and painful, but she makes you feel comfortable and is quick. I give her 5 stars or more if I could, but not the establishment as a whole. People are pushy to sell you the products that in my opinion do not work. They also want to sell you packages constantly. I go in the most 3x's a year. I don't need more than that, but again that's my preference. read more

I went to European wax center to get my eyebrows & arms waxed. My waxer was Karina and she was great! We started with my eyebrows, then we moved to the arms. I was so nervous to get my arms waxed because it was my first time, but she made it such an easy process. She talked me through it and would ask if I was okay and comfortable. while she was waxing she talked to be about a few products that would help so of course afterwards I picked them up! I'm really bummed out because I enjoyed speaking with my waxer and I thought she was very informative. However, a few hours after my brazilian wax I started to feel some discomfort and when I looked close up with a mirror, I saw that some of my skin had been burned by the wax itself. I had continously called last week to make a reservation, and I continously was greeted by an answering machine. Normally this would not bother me, only they never got back to me. When I was lucky enough to reach someone, they were extremely rude and short with me. When the day of the reservation came, they called me litteraly 45 minutes before the time I was supposed to be waxed to cancel and rebook. I was annoyed by the extremely short notice as it disrupted my plans. Do better. read more

Update: I have had struggles with scheduling feom day one and I've gone several times in the day and evening and they are closed with no reason as to when they will return .... Mind you I had an appointment. I had them cancel on me 2x because they were short staffed and then I had to call cancel because I caught covid and I did let them know. Fast forward a month a went online to schedule an appointment and someone calls me to tell me I'm on a "restricted" basis and they can only allow me walk in appointments due to past cancellations?! I had an appointment with Dolly yesterday, it was my first time getting waxed in awhile and I was feeling pretty nervous going in but she made me feel really comfortable, made good conversation and made it as painless as possible. Giving 2 because the front desk girls are sweet. Every time I go to a European Wax they leave wax on my body and I see that there's stray hairs when I get home. The new Turlock isn't any different. These people do not value your time. Set an appointment for my daughter and had to sit for 35 mins after the time appointment. What's the point of having an appointment if you are not seen at that time. I value peoples time and keep my commitments to appointments. read more

This location is very friendly and professional. It is a very comfortable and clean environment. Brenda always takes great care of me and does a wonderful job! As an added bonus they recently had "self-care" Saturday where they offer a spread of fruits and cheeses and I got to spin the wheel and won an awesome prize!!! I was 4 minutes late, they told me it's your first time here and 7 minute late is the cut off so that I know for next time. This is fine and I understand. The waxer took me to the back, showed no primary signs of good customer service, just sounded irritated. She gave me instructions and ignored anything I said, then she told me, "ok and I'll have to stop right when the next person gets here because you were late, so I might not finish". This was so unprofessional!! If I was that late then they should have had me reschedule. And who would want to come in to get waxed halfway? So I told her that I would reschedule and she walked me out and told the girls upfront. There seemed some tension between them. I left without rescheduling or saying anything. My suggestion: There are far better places than this. Don't go here! They definitely live up to their reputation. read more

Most expensive and sloppy wax I've ever had. While i can say the experience itself was painless and for the most part fine. My waxer had reassured me that she had gotten everything and that it was thorough but I went home and there were patches of hair in every area. This isn't my usual spot, but i was in a pinch. I'm only giving 4 stars because of Katie. Every time I've booked an appointment it was with any wax specialist because it was same day. There is a 9 minute late policy & if you are running late, just call and they can help you out. Customer service up at the front has been great every time I've gone. I've gone to see about 4 different wax specialists now and ONLY Katie has left me without hair. She's also super sweet & did my strips smaller & applied pressure after pulling up the strip to reduce pain. She's sooo amazing! read more

I needed to get in really quick before work so I scheduled at 830am and I was happy to find it open when I arrived 10 minutes early even. Jerrica and Olivia were great! Very knowledgeable and had answers for all of my questions about the packages and products. Came here twice, I decided the first time was ok as I went in for a Brazilian wax and my tech was nice. She mentioned she was new so I figured she was still learning. She got everything off but it hurt more then usual. I had a wax pass and had one more. So I figured ok I'll go again, same tech...today was rough. She seemed to be saving wax, not using to much. Not sure if it's what they teach techs to do but damn she would smear the wax over my hair and skin. I could feel it just wanting to rip off. I tipped $15 and thought she's learning. Came home and the whole inside of my labia had hair. I was extremely disappointed. I won't be coming back. Just a beware to anyone that goes. Was discriminated against for being pregnant and unlawfully terminated , I worked there briefly and was fired on my day off might I add. Was told it was because of mistakes I i had made even though I corrected said "mistakes" the system wouldn't save information every time I would fix it and I had made them aware of that. I was never written up I was told they were showing me my mistakes to fix and they were not write ups and just To make me aware . Other girls made the same mistakes as well , once I told them I was pregnant my hours were cut immediately and then I was told my hours were based on sales and prebooking even though I wasn't there as much as the other girls so hOw was I suppose to get better if I was getting hours cut?Makes no sense . It isn't fair at all , if I would have known go hours were based on sales and prebooking I would have never stayed there. Mind you she texted me saying we need to talk about my schedule and then fires me over the phone ! Two days prior they were already interviewing new girls while we were fully sTaffed rather than giving more hours to me or anyoNe else who deserved them . I think firing me was planned and they needed an excuse to do it . I now am behind on bills , can't save my money because I don't have a job now . It's going to be difficult to find a job because I am pregnant , I am stressed out and it is not good for me or my unborn baby , I can no longer go forward with the home me and my boyfriend were going to get because of this . I had no warning or time to figure anything out and I am now in a financial hardship . The staff is unprofessional, they speak badly about guests and put horribly notes in the system about each guest . They speak horribly of old employees . And while I worked there I had guests complain of the staff in Modesto saying how rude they were and they still work there . They pick and choose favorites and one of the managers never took the time to explain that i needed help . When she fired me she said I had been working 2 months and didn't get it , how is that possible ? our training was all over the place and we didn't open until January and you fired me in February ? How is tHat two months ? I hardly had any hours and worked slow days what is suppose to happen ? I was never given a fair chance . I am so upset and stressed out and I should not have to go through this and I don't think anyone else should do either . My life is personally effected by this and I felt I worked hard and tried to please these people , and I was not given a fair chance at the job that I had to literally fight for . AlsO after getting the job we were told we needed to pass a test to keep the job ? So all the training would have been for nothing if we didn't pass , and guess what ?! A girl that was also pregnant before I found out ,was fired ! How convenient . It all just seems too convenient . I hope to god this never happens to someone else I don't think I deserved this at All ! read more

Before I even went into EWC, I had the opportunity to meet the owner Vivian- She is lovely! I told her I've been waiting for it to open and she offered to put me on the VIP list! I am really appreciative that she even offered! A couple weeks later I got a call to come in for my complimentary service....that was my first visit and IM HOOKED! I had my service done by Dolly...she's my go-to girl! She is super thorough & very considerate! She did an amazing job! The guest service ladies, Zoie and Olivia are super sweet and helpful...I had a little bit of a billing issue but both ladies were really helpful and had it sorted out asap! I loved my EWC experience so much that I immediately purchased an unlimited membership!! Honestly you will not be disappointed when you visit!! Ps...they are running a lot of great incentives, promotions and discounts for the products they sell - of course, I bought a serum!! They rushed & completed a Brazilian wax within 10mins missing a lot of hair. Upon getting home notice some bleeding & some wax left. Very disappointed, but I have been to the Fremont Hub branch & loved their service. No baby powder was offered just ingrown hair serum. That was not put on all the areas waxed. I felt so sticky like wax residue was everywhere down there. Have to go do touch ups tomorrow, but do not want the same person. Very disappointed!! I was so scared that it was going to hurt, there was obviously pulling but I was more scared of the sound the wax made lol Caitlin (I may have spelled her name wrong) was AMAZING!
