Immigration lines were short and everything was efficient, although we didn't check bags or fly OUT of this airport, so I can't comment on those aspects. The wifi worked well and the bathrooms were clean and plentiful. I also love the branding/art of the airport with the little car train, suitcase, and plane icons. The train station is just below the terminal, which is very convenient. We did have to wait a long time for the train, but that's on the train system and not the airport. Thankfully the station is covered from the rain! From the airport, it's a short and fairly cheap ride into Cologne. If you're coming to Germany, The Koln/Bonn airport is a great option.

We drove about 10,000km through Luxembourg, France, Italy, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. We did have a couple of issues with the campervan (in a 1989 VW that's to be expected - a flat tyre, and a hose had to be replaced) but Rolf was always really helpful and responsive and reimbursed us for anything we spent on the minor repairs we needed to keep going. We were really impressed and pleased with the level of service we received, and the cover that was included for insurance and roadside assistance. it was a really easy stress-free way to travel and the camper was obviously well maintained and regularly serviced. By the end of our trip we were sad to say good-bye to Fritz, our faithful camper, and would highly recommend Rolf and Tour Europe to anyone who loves to travel and likes the freedom to explore without being limited to major cities and train lines.

This is located in a hotel across the street from the back of the main train station in Köln…read more I had to rent a car for a day and booked it online from the US. Everything was straight forward and easy to get a reservation and estimate. I made sure to get automatic because I'm not so good with stick shift. I got there and everything was ready as planned. For Americans, make sure you have your valid drivers license with your current address on it. I had my international driver license and they didn't need it but I had it just in case. They weren't very good with English so I did everything in German and could understand the speaking but had some difficulty with the contract that was all in German. I got the car for the day and returned it that evening in the key drop at the hotel. The confusion was that they held a large amount for the car, over double the estimate, for a week. Later they made a deduction for the correct amount so they did charge the right price at the end. Also, they immediately emailed the contract I signed but never got the final invoice even though I emailed and asked for it. I ordered the gps to be included, but it was pretty lousy so I used google maps on my smartphone. The car also had used coffee cups inside that weren't properly cleaned. Overall it worked out and it was a standard car rental. Just make sure you book ahead with what you want and keep a printout of your estimate and reservations.

I tried to make a reservation for a double room for one night. I was told on the phone that the…read moreroom was available and there would be no need to book it online. Making the reservation on the phone would be sufficient, I should just send a mail as well, which I did. The hotel staff did not get back to me on that day (a Saturday) and there was also no written booking confirmation on the following day. So I mailed again to make to sure they had not missed my mail. On Monday morning I finally received a mail from the hotel stating in one short sentence that no accomodation would be available for that night. Not a word of excuse or anything. No explanation was given when I asked for a reason. So in case you really want to spend your money on a hotel who treats their potential guests this way I would book well in advance and not rely on their statements on the telephone.

We had a room on the 4th (top) floor - be advised that there is no elevator, but there is thoughtfully placed artwork along the stairway walls for a brief rest if needed. Our room was clean, bright, well-appointed with a small private terrace, a view of the park, and large windows that open to catch a delightful cross-breeze. Free WiFi is provided. We did not have a car, so I cannot speak to parking accommodations. Breakfast is generous with delicious rolls and breads, a superb array of jams/marmalades, well-chosen cheese and meat selections, boiled eggs, yogurt, two juices, an espresso/coffe/chocolate machine, and fresh fruit. It is served in the lobby area at charming tables with pink cloths, dainty dishes, and small flowers in vases - lovely! Our hosts were quite friendly and helpful and took their care of us very seriously. We would highly recommend the Hotel Eden for your stay in Bonn.

I had an early Saturday morning checkout before their breakfast starts and they very nicely made me coffee and let me start breakfast early. Very happy customer would definitely use again.

It's not super special, nor a standout...but the city was packed for Dmexco so we made do. The room was small, but fine. The bathroom felt somewhat like that in an RV. It was clean, but tiny and felt...extremely utilitarian in nature. The breakfast is $10 and is not really worth it, but with very little options nearby...you'll probably opt for it like we did. Very near the Sbahn, which zips to downtown in about 15-20 minutes...so convenient and if you have an early/late flight it will certainly do for an easy night's sleep. The restaurant in the lobby is comfortable and outside of breakfast time has waiter service. We were able to perch for a bit upon our return and do some work, as all of the internet was out in the hotel...except in the restaurant. So, that's fun! Business crowd, travelers. It's a 3-star Yelp hotel, what more to say? :)
