An accident had the road blocked and as the…read moreFire truck was backing out I motioned to the left to to a fireman to see if the school bus was blocking the entrance to the housing complex as it would've been obvious from his perspective and from mine it wasn't clear. I didn't want to block the only lane open trying to make a left turn if it wasn't feasible because when traffic backs up sometimes people block the entrance. I was trying to determine if I should go to the right to wait it out or if I could make the left when I proceeded after the firetruck turned around. The guy went directly into a rage and accused me of "telling him what to do" although no words or negative behaviors had transpired. I didn't bother asking the question because he was clearly in no mood to communicate, it was very much akin to a road rage situation coming from him. I wasn't expecting that level of unprofesionalism and was quite taken aback by it. Simply trying to do my part to avoid blocking the road certainly didn't warrant that level of animosity. I don't know what his issue is but determining what is actually happening instead of rushing into a rage would be a better face of the dept. I live here and accidents are a very common occurrence, unfortunately. I know you all know the frequency of these mishaps, I am a 100% disabled veteran and having served I fully understand the need to control a situation and was just trying to do my part in regards to traffic flow. I understand the mission and have a great deal of respect for those who serve, is it too much to ask that such respect is mutual?

The room was modest but was equipped with tables, chairs, a sink, a fridge, a microwave, a TV and a few other amenities. My sister in law organized the party and did a good job. Everyone had a good time. We were in the actual fire house, but we were not disturbed by anyone. I would recommend renting the room for birthdays and small parties. The room was reasonably sized, and probably can hold approx 50 seated people comfortably . While each of the four stations are different and contain different amenities, reserving any of them is a simple procedure. Simply go to the above mentioned website and click on the link for community room rental procedures. Expect a $25.00 non-refundable deposit. I do not know what the rental fees are, but you can find out by calling when you place the reservation. There are a few rules that you'll need to abide by, such as no smoking or drinking on the premises and being respectful of the firefighters and the property. All rules are lined out in the rental agreement. Enjoy!

Nov 10, 2025 and I just realized my license expired a few days back. I called the local number and…read morethe polite and professional lady on the other end said I could come in as a walk-in and scan the QR code. (No ticket pulling at the center booth.) She explained the new process of the QR code and waiting to be called to a window. From the time I scanned the QR code at 3:12, to the time I was at the window was quicker than the 4 minutes on the sheet. Granted, I intentionally chose 3 pm because I know most people are scrambling to pick up the kids after school, and it's outside of the lunch hour or the end of the workday. Sita helped me at counter #5 and took care of me so quickly, even with the eye exam with the viewfinder machine. By 3:18, I was on line by the photo area. 3 people ahead of me and I was photo finished by 3:22 pm. The most efficient 10 minutes I've ever spent at a Revenue Office DMV. I asked if the new system was helpful for the staff, and they said that it was. You can see that for yourself, if you get there at 3 pm. I'll never go first thing in the morning before work, because that's what everyone else does. Definitely don't go there during lunch hours, either. I'm glad the new system worked out for me. Must be my karma.
