On first pass, there was a line at the take-out window. When I returned to dine in, there was a rather significant line there as well. My party of 2 was apparently the magic number because they had us stand in the front of the line and we were seated inside almost immediately. The food here is served so rapidly that I seriously doubt anyone needs to wait long as there's a constant turning of tables. Schwarma and Fallafel and whatever else we consumed here was so fresh, delicious, and satisfying that I tried coming back here again the night before leaving Paris. Unfortunately for me, they close early on Shabbat, so I had to be satisfied with my single visit. Outstanding experience, delicious food as over 2,000 reviews already attested to.

We tried the chicken shawarma, lamb and turkey shawarma, along with their house hot sauce, fries, and an Israeli beer. Everything hit the mark--the wraps were packed, juicy, and easily among the best we've had anywhere. The chicken shawarma in particular stood out for its flavor and freshness, while the hot sauce added a great kick without overpowering the food. The fries were simple but satisfying and worked perfectly alongside the wraps. The atmosphere is fast-paced and energetic, with a constant mix of locals and tourists, and it's usually packed, which adds to the experience. Service was friendly despite the crowds and the quick turnover. A must-visit for anyone craving a generous, flavorful, and satisfying falafel or shawarma experience in Paris.

We tried the rotisserie chicken pita and the ratatouille one. Both were packed full of fresh ingredients. I loved the veggie one. But shoutout to the pita because it didn't collapse or get soggy from all the veggies and sauce. It held its own and was delish. Inside has some tables in back that were good but really this is a quick lunch space and a great one at that. Delish.

The cauliflower and sweet potato are visually stunning and well-roasted, but ultimately the condiments the restaurant offers don't compensate for the neutral preparation. Even tomato sauce, hot sauce and salt together couldn't coat the cauliflower in a satisfying way. When the vegetable is cooked with the idea of its being a blank canvas, it can't be retroactively perfected. Table salt should be a garnish, not the savior of a meal. The sweet potato fares better since I could mainline that vegetable, but if a roast sweet potato is that good without any seasoning, there's no reason to pay a restaurant premium for one. I am not trying to denigrate the concept of Miznon, because to do so would be to miss the point, but I would argue that I only ever need to experience Miznon once for novelty and then can move on to genuine meals at restaurants that justify the cost of dining out.

The downstairs is two tiny high tops for two and one that might fit three plus a few tables out front. I mention that so when you go, not to expect a sit down experience. The food was nothing that other places don't make, but was so good. I had a simple shawarma wrap and a side of baba ghanoush. Both were excellent. The shwarma was beef and lamb, which I ordered with the Toum and hot sauce, as well as the standard onions, pickled veggies, and tomatoes, and it was small. But every bite was perfect! I don't know why or how, but the little wrap could have been the best thing I ate the entire trip, and believe me when I say that I ate a lot. I have eaten shwarma and/ or kebabs from dozens of places in dozens of cities and I can't say that I have had better. I ate great shwarma at Taza on Queensway and throughout London in the 90s, but bite for bite, this was as good or better. I hope my glowing review doesn't set the bar impossibly high, because it's the simplicity that makes this little sandwich so good. It's also in a fun and vibrant neighborhood near the Pompidou Center, so I would highly recommend this for lunch or even a hearty snack for someone who may be walking all day.

However, I was visiting Le Marais with a local who assured us that he had tried both Mi Va Mi and L'as Du and couldn't figure out any discernible difference between the two. (I guess it's one of those Geno's vs. Pat's situations.) I was ready to eat, so I opted for Mi Va Mi. The falafel was exceptional! It's fried fresh and it was just delicious. I also appreciated the addition of fried eggplant on top. So good! My favorite falafel experience of all time. I only wish I had gotten more of their "spicy sauce" which wasn't terribly spicy, but very garlicky! My husband got a grilled sausage and enjoyed that, but returned after finishing his sausage for a plate of just plain falafel. The staff was super nice! We were very happy with our decision to eat here!

We ended up here for our first bite in France because L'As du Fallafel was on vacay (and they were randomly closed another day when we tried to go back, so I can't make a comparison until next time we travel to France) We got the PITA CHAWARMA (11€) to-go, and this put pita sandwiches in America to shame. ** Mi Va Mi's version was huge, and it was the perfect amount to be shared by two people for a light lunch while leaving stomach space for pastries ** It had a generous portion of grilled turkey and chopped cucumbers, drizzled in a yummy yogurt sauce, and wrapped in a fluffy fresh pita ** In my opinion, I think they could have gone lighter on the yogurt sauce since it was dripping and soggy. I think this is the first time ever that I didn't mind a soggy sandwich though, because the flavor was sooo delicious ** There's something about the pita too, that was reminiscent of the taste and texture of focaccia ** I had expected the shawarma to be the star, but instead I was impressed by how well the pita sandwich came together as a whole. It was hearty and satisfying without being too salty or heavy Tips: - They are speedy! Food was ready shortly after we ordered since they assemble everything on the spot - Spicy and non-spicy options - Small dining areas indoor and outdoors (plan on just standing in the picturesque alleyway) - It's a bit messy to eat even with forks, but this makes for an awesome street food experience

Since we were planning on getting gelato after dinner we all decided to do a start and a main course. I got the sweet potato with tahini, tomato and fresh herbs. Very light and earthy dish. I enjoyed it quick a bit! For main course the calamari dish caught my eye. The calamari came with kimel and onion cream with Israel beer and freekeh risotto. We told them (well my friends did since they speak French) that I had a nut allergy. When the calamari dish came out it looked like there was some sort of nut in there so I asked my friend to double check for me. They did and conclude it was nut so they had to remake my dish. There are no indications for allergens on the menu I noticed as well. They remade my dish and I dug in. The flavors was a bit too tart for my liking. There was also very little calamari since it was buried in the risotto. The flavors were just not my cup of tea but I did enjoy how fresh everything was and how nice the staff was. Maybe if I ordered something else I would have liked it more? Overall an okay experience.
