At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

We met with more contractors than I care to admit. Most of them told us we couldn't do it with our budget or we would have to compromise on this or that. I was starting to doubt we could make it happen but then I met Jose. He not only said he could do everything we wanted but he also made several great suggestions on how we could save money including cabinets. The pandemic really screwed things up as far as timing and delayed our project several months. Jose made sure we had everything ready to go and prioritized our project to get it done as soon as possible once we finally received our permit. It was crazy how fast things moved after that. Jose and his team worked daily, sometimes late into the evening to make sure we got our project done by our targeted move-in date. There were some surprises a long the way and we also made a number of last minute decisions including asking Jose to install flooring throughout the entire first floor. Jose and his team took all of these things in stride and the results exceeded our every expectation! In the end we have the kitchen of our dreams with a wide open concept, new electric throughout the house, a brand new office where no office existed before, beautiful hardwood flooring and so much more. It's a brand new house! It was a long journey, but we really got to know Jose and his team, their work ethic, communication, flexibility and positive attitude. I fully expect to rehire Gonzalez Construction for future projects and I would never recommend another contractor to friends and family. Simply the best!

I had a really tight schedule to get this done and Jose made possible to get that bathroom remodeled on time, and the end-result was as I envisioned. After that, we ended adding another multi-project to remodel a fireplace and build cabinets and floating shelves in our living room; replace wooden floors that needed work done; and add herringbone style tile floor to our kitchen. It really is a pleasure to work with someone who understands the world of construction, and who is excellent at communicating every step of the way with the client. Jose and his team are very honest and professional men; and every person involved in the contract is respectful of the property. We chose Golden Shore Design and Build to do our master bathroom renovation after meeting with and…read moregetting quotes from five different contractors. We decided to go with them based on reviews of their previous work, the thorough and realistic explanation of how the work would be done, and also because their estimate for the work was actually lower than the others. We were dealing directly with the company owner, Alex, in getting the estimate and finalizing the contract details. Alex provided a complimentary design concept rendering at the start and made good suggestions for the choice of materials and fixtures. It was a complete bathroom remodel (floor, walls, all fixtures, additional lighting, etc.). The work crew were polite and efficient. As with any home renovation there will be dust, however the guys were diligent in minimizing this as much as possible. Everything was done in just over two weeks, including the necessary city inspections (Alex took care of arranging those). The bathroom came out looking beautiful, the tile work on the floor and in the tub area is gorgeous. Thankfully, no major issues cropped up when the floor and walls were opened up, and the guys devised a great solution to make the vanity fit perfectly in the slightly larger area (the original vanity was custom built during our condo's construction in 1988). Alex oversaw the progress of work with frequent job site visits and a final inspection. So, a positive experience and we now have a beautiful master bathroom. He explained everything that was to be done and answered all of our questions. He was either on site or a text/phone call away if I had any questions. He was also very responsive to any concerns. Part of the stucco cracked during the drying process and he came out assessed it and sent the guys back to make sure it was fixed and it looks great. I would definitely recommend Benji and Magnolia Construction!
