Not sure how the previous reviewer gave four stars then such a mixed review? Beautiful scenery & restaurant. My family & I have eaten here several times & each time have enjoyed our experience. Newer restaurant took them a bit to work out the kinks as any place has issues when first opening but owners are genuine in their effort to get it right. Food suggestions, the Mac N Cheese is delicious if you like a white sauce, if your expecting yellow boxed Mac n cheese do not order this for you or your children. Appetizers- Garlic Parmesan Wings-yum! Home made chips with blossom sauce Fried pickles Fried mushrooms Stuffed mushrooms Pasta- lobster Mac n cheese Chicken Alfredo Fish- it's all good! Catfish fritters & blackened catfish. Chicken- try the bourbon glazed chicken breast, it's amazing even better when fried & dipped in bourbon sauce. Pork Chops are large & have plenty for leftovers Highly recommend the house salad dressing. If you do have any issues the manager or owners will address it immediately. Had one issue & it was quickly remedied.

Always a great place to go. Friendly people and excellent food. Live bands on the weekends are a plus.

Buffalo fish dinner was cooked to long and hush puppies was hard as a rock. Not worth the money it cost.

We had the stuffed mushrooms (great) and jalapeño sliders (stuffed with cream cheese and sausage, then wrapped in bacon and broiled, yum!) for apps.

I checked in and got a Yelp offer for a $2 slammer. Cool!…read more After walking down from the truck stop out on US-36, I was ready for a good meal. The restaurant sits at the corner, and it has 3 tables inside. During my visit, I was the only person who sat inside. Most customers were walk-ins and the took their orders to go. They have a walk-up window and a nice family stopped by as they took their dog for a walk. I would say the bulk of their menu consists of hot dogs and ice cream creations. With such a limited menu, I was still able to walk out a satisfied customer. Amanda was my pleasant server. I started off with a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Still hungry, I tried a chili cheese dog. OK, my appetite was still there, so the cheese nachos finished off my meal. So what about that $2 Slammer? Even though I was full, and even though I know when to say 'when', I ordered the Slammer - it's like a Blizzard at another restaurant. It was very good. Both the exterior and the interior were well kept and clean. The ample size restroom was equally clean and well-kept. I recommend!

They used to serve actual food but now they serve no more food than a gas station (hot dogs and nachos). The ice cream and shakes is pretty good. The quality of the ice cream is average at best but they are much too expensive for what they are. It is no longer a restaurant, it is a small room and should be considered more so an ice cream shop. It is a nice place to grab something cold to drink and eat in the summer. They are closed during winter, as is to be expected. Overall this is a nice place to get a small bite to eat.

Reallyl a cool, huge family dining room with plenty of huge tables for big families, plus booths and small tables. You don't have to wait to sit in the bar area (if available). Our waitress, Phoebe, was AMAZING! You should absolutely ask for her if you dine here. She was on point and super kind, efficient and fast. We enjoyed the generous dinner salad which came as part of my wife's fried shrimp dinner, which she LOVED! The salad was HUGE! 4 oz of dressing too. I always have to ask for extra. Not here. If you DO need extra, it's 4 MORE ounces for 59¢, which is a bargain. I can't imagine using 8 oz of dressing, but you do you. ;) The Fiddlestik that came with the salad was delicious! I LOVED it! My wife thought the bread was under cooked, but I like doughy bread (and cookies). My chicken fried steak was simply outstanding! I don't think it was hand breaded, but I don't care. The taste was there and it was everything. The mashed potatoes and gravy may be the best I've EVER had! They were spectacular! Fiddlestiks has it going ON in the kitchen!! WOW! I love that they have salt and pepper shakers on the table PLUS a black pepper grinder on every table! Fresh ground black pepper is a staple in our house and we loved it here. We were full as ticks with no room for dessert. Maybe next time, if we skip the salad, but I want that salad again!
