I got out of the car with my buddy and we decided to walk into the lot since the store was open and the gates were open and there was also nothing saying you could not enter. We walked around for 45 minutes and I had found multiple parts I was willing to purchase. As I made my way back to the store I finally ran into the first person who asked me why I was walking around. I had responded that the gate was open and I wanted to look for parts for my car. He was very rude, telling me how I was not allowed to just walk in and that I was looking at customer vehicles (which I was not, I was just passing by them while walking back). I then continued to the building where another gentleman walked out. He also asked me what we were doing. I explained to him I was searching for parts for my car and he was very rude telling me how we couldn't be there without walking in the store and telling them. Like I said, no where did we see a single sign saying that you must see someone before browsing the lot. I explained I had never been there and I was unaware that you must go in first and I apologized multiple times. At this point I felt extremely threatened for he had began to use profanity towards me. He continued to raise his voice saying I was trespassing (I also did not take notice of any no trespassing signs) and he continued to curse. I then said "I am sorry, next time I come I will make sure I stop inside first before browsing the lot" and he said "f*ck off man" and walked back in the building. If it was really such a big problem, you would think someone would of said something to us before we even entered or would go say something to us while we were there walking for 45 minutes! I didn't even get to inquire about the parts I was interested in. There will no longer be a next time now, I will definitely take my business elsewhere. This is no way to treat potential customers, I understand what I had done was wrong and even apologized for what I had done but he continued to make me feel threatened to the point that I just wanted to get the heck out of there. Never again.

I went to Midas in wind Gap before going here and they informed me I would need rotors and pads for my brakes, gave me an estimate of $900 or more they said! Took it to Bangor Tire and Auto and it came to little over $200!! When I asked the mechanic he said, you only needed the pads replaced! So needless to say I am thrilled for finding an honest mechanic and did I mention how nice he is?! You can't go wrong doing your business with these people... you will save a bundle and feel confident knowing you have a trustworthy experienced caring mechanic!! So that being said... give them a try, you will be glad you did! What a diamond in the rough!!

The first time they did a safety inspection on my wife's Jeep a few years ago, they missed a huge…read morecrack in the front suspension , which caused a wheel to break straight off as we pulled out of a parking space. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because other mechanics told me it wouldn't be unusual to miss that on an inspection. They also agreed to fix it pretty quickly, after we had it towed there. Fast forward to last week, this time my 2013 Rav4 with 130k miles that's been pretty well maintained was overdue for a tire rotation. They performed it at no charge. Immediately, a loud noise is audible at lower speeds and coming to a stop. Not a seized caliper, and too coincidental with timing of rotation. I assumed it could be a balancing issue. I also made sure it wasn't anything silly like lugs not being tightened all the way. Decided to call them and ask if they could take a look, since it's reasonably possible they caused the issue. I told them I'd pay a diagnostic fee even if I thought they may have done something. We are a one vehicle family and I've been racking up miles since I started a second job delivering food. I got a callback where the woman at the front desk told me "we don't diagnose things here", added that the shop was closing for a week for a family vacation, and then tried to steer me to another garage. What kind of licensed PA inspection station doesn't diagnose mechanical problems? Especially if they may be responsible? You're telling me if I am going to fail inspection they wouldn't try to find out why? Or know how to check their own work? Before this tire rotation, I had my annual inspection done there and requested regular interval maintenance, which would be lube, oil, filter change and a tire rotation. When I picked the car up, I was shocked at their price increases. I paid basically the same amount I would have at the Toyota dealership, and they tell me they didn't even rotate the tires! I'm no mechanic but I know tires should be rotated with each interval service. If you're just going to only accept cake (brake jobs and oil changes) don't bother keeping your inspection license. Nobody should trust these people, no matter how friendly they might be. There's a reason they have competitors right across the street who have been doing it much longer and never had to sweat Bangor Tire and Auto coming into town. I used to take my car to the dealership, even for regular maintenance. They are expensive. I heard people talk about how affordable this place is, and how nice they are as people. Unfortunately, that's not enough to run a good shop. They're also no more affordable than any other independent shop in the area, any more.
