If you have booked your tickets online and plan to Jump the Q, enter from the left and proceed directly to the counter. Most other Cinemas, have better signage about the quick ticket collection when compared to Burwood. If you plan on watching a movie after 6pm, it is better to park in the lower parking lot at the cinema level as the mall closes on most days, and you could get trapped getting to your car on another level.

Their normal cinema seats are very comfortable but don't mind paying a little bit extra for Vmax with even more plusher seating & has the table for all the tasty goodies :)!! The only problem is it makes it hard on me after a long day when your feeling a bit tired and got suckered into watching a movie but thankfully with the renovations comes with a hot drinks & cookie/cakes cafe conveniently located next to the counter where you buy your tickets :), not to expensive either, more Event Cinemas should have the same setup :)!! Long black keeps me pumped & charged for the entire movie, is good to know it's there when its needed :D!! Also like all big popular Cinemas in Aus the Candy bar is pricey but luckily Coles & Woolies are down stairs & they are both conveniently open till midnight :D!!

At 40$ a pop for adults, entry is not cheap, but if you buy your ticket online, this includes train fare to Olympic Park. Oh and for clarification, this is SHOW is not one like going to the Lion King, its a giant carnival. One of the largest in the world with rides, cotton candy/fairy floss, games and live stock shows. If you plan on going, look up the schedule in advance if you're planning on catching any of the judging, sheering, or rodeo events. Bring a bottle of water or you'll get caught paying 5$ for "FRESH" lemonade - security is pretty laxed, as in if you bring snacks for your kids or a picnic lunch this may be OK, but there are so many good things to try there that you may not want to. I only say this bc you can easily go broke on the 5$/10$ this and that. I loved seeing all the animals and the open petting area, you can feed the sheep for 2$ a cup, watch the chickens roaming around the pens and even the 3 little pigs. There are Pavillions through out the Show for the animals, just make sure to follow the little blue paw print path and you're on your way. They have wash stations outside of each area which is good so you can make sure you're hands are germ free ( a must with all the food there is to try!) Next on the high ranking Pavillions was the Woolwoorth's show room with all the different foods to taste and purchase, amazing displays, and did I mention YUMMY food?! Wine and Oyster bar, desserts of every kind, candy and shopping. While I didn't buy any show bags, I learned what this craze is all about. Show Bags of all different themes are sold in their own pavillion. These large "party bag" like do's are sold on average for 20$ a pop and are filled with your choice of candy, brand named drinks, marketing and promo items, and or toys. Every kid I saw walking around had at least 2 or 3 of these things. I think the Show is a wonderful way to showcase Aussie agriculture, livestock and farmers beyond just the carnival rides and games, but there is definitely some room for improvement though I don't think there is a lack of attendees! Go check it out if you haven't, its something you have to do at least once, and just be prepared to be a big kid, get a little dirty and enjoy it for what it is.

Ah, the Easter Show! Held in Olympic Park, the Easter Show promises to show one and all a good…read moretime! Well, depending on what you like, that is. If you enjoy looking at enormous cows, llamas, and/or goats, the Animal Pavilion is the place for you. Just follow the pawprints helpfully painted on the ground. In the Animal Pavilion, you even get to feed baby goats/lambs! They are just about the cutest things ever. There's also the reptile pavilion, where you can hold a snake if you so choose! But beware the racist Asian snake-handler, who is unlikely to give you the time of day no matter how long you stand around, unless you are similarly Asian. There's also dog shows, where you can watch some of the cutest, fastest (and most disobedient) dogs compete in obstacle courses, with their sometimes exasperated owners. If you're more of a ride person, there's heaps of rides over on the other side of Olympic Park. The downside being, that they have the same old rides every year. So after the first few visits, it does get more than a little boring. There are also TONNES of shops selling fairly cheap fare! You can get anything and everything from jewelery to a massage! But at $30 entry, NOT inclusive of what you must spend on rides and food, it can get a little pricey. Still, it's a fun day out, and the rides only close at about 10 or 11, so it can be a fun night out, too!

We bought a gold pass (3activities) for 8 people, and our 3 activities were bowling, escape room, and laser tag. We did bowling, and straight after we finished, a guy cleaned everything on our lane ensuring clean equipment considering covid. There was also hand sanitiser everywhere in this place. We then had our second activity but we had to wait for an hour, so we got to play free table tennis. Once we were there ready to go in and start, they told us that we could only have 6 people in there due to covid restrictions. My mate and I missed out, but we got an hour worth of unlimited arcade access, but we couldn't play anything for tickets or prizes. We got this because we would have missed out on a third activity. Once the escape room finished, another guy came and gave us 2 a free voucher for any activity we want at the place, due to the problems that happened. We then got to play 2 games of laser tag, which were great fun. Once we finished though, we sat around for a bit, and a young lady came to us and said we can have 3 free games of laser tag because of everything that happened today. This is some AMAZING commitment from the staff members, and not only that everything else was great! We got our third activity to be unlimited arcade access (with restrictions), then we got a free voucher, and then we got 3 free laser tag games, what else could you ask for? If one of the workers read this, we would love to say thank you for all the hard work and efforts put in to helping us!

Of course you do get hordes of ill-behaved boys at Timezone, but it can also be a great, relatively inexpensive way to kill time, as I found the other day when I was waiting for a chronically-late friend. My personal favourite; the maxi claw. That thing is surprisingly hard to manipulate! But if you put your back into it, you can snag yourself a fluffy toy! Oh, and the staff seem some mixture of surprised/excited/suspicious to see a woman in her early twenties there (makes a nice break from rambunctious 14 year olds, I suppose), and showered me with attention. As it's in the cinema complex on George Street and opposite the Metro Theatre, it's a good place to visit to kill some time before a movie or concert.

There were three people behind the counter and about 20-30 people waiting in queue. First red flag was that there weren't enough employees, or employees doing their job so shitty that they managed to create a queue of people on a Sunday. They were out of large popcorn. Let me repeat: THEY WERE "OUT" OF LARGE POPCORN. HOW. DAMN well order the larger cardboard popcorn boxes. Maybe learn how to run a business? Everyone tells me that a theatres major source of income is the food and drink yet they can't even offer what people want? Larger flipping boxes?!? They were also out of choc tops??? I'm only a little mad. The lobby was literally falling apart. The carpet was matted, the tiled floors were sticky as if they hadn't been cleaned in eons. The theater had also not been cleaned. There was trash still in the seats and we had to claw out way to sit down. SURE - the tickets are cheap but in no way is it a worthwhile experience.
