He communicated clearly, followed up promptly, and gave us some much-needed nudges during those hectic final weeks so we wouldn't forget to share our most important songs, special moments, and surprises. We truly wouldn't have wanted anyone else handling our wedding! Jose and his team managed the audio for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He made sure everyone was properly mic'd and even swooped in with a wireless microphone during our vows so all our guests could hear us clearly. He also MC'd the evening, read the room perfectly, and pulled out all the stops to keep the dance floor going all night. Before using the CO cold gun, he even confirmed with our coordinator that it was permitted inside the venue--just one example of how professional and considerate he was throughout the entire process. The light-up headbands and foam rally sticks were a huge hit, and guests were even asking if they could take the headbands home at the end of the night. Joe was more than happy to oblige! Our 78- and 102-year-old grandmas were still dancing at 9:45 p.m.--that's how fun he made the night. Everyone on his team was respectful, experienced, and brought amazing energy. It was much appreciated as our work schedules made planning difficult to fit in. The suggestions that were given to us for songs, timelines, and entertainment during the reception was super helpful. It was so cool they he took requests and when he could not play a song, (a couple of people told us that) he took a moment to explain why; whether it was vibe or timing. Our guests raved about DJ Joe and how he created such a great atmosphere. The props on the dancefloor were a ton of fun and there was even a soul train line. DJ Richard did not arrive to set up until 7:20 pm and didn't actually start playing music until about 7:40 pm. Guests arrived at 7 as instructed and there was no music to entertain them. Once he did set up the dinner had begun and I kept thinking of things to tell him. To my suprise my DJ was gone. Everytime I looked up for about an hour the DJ was gone, with tiny 2-3 minute intervals of actually being there, in the entire hour I would say he was there for about ten minutes.I had announcements that I wanted him to make but he was not there! Everytime I asked people if they had seen the DJ, the men in my party told me that he was in the bathroom. So finally I go stand outside the bathroom because I about had enough and he says that he is going to the bathroom a lot because his back hurts. But that excuse didn't explain why he was sweating profusely, licking his gums, acting strange, etc etc. I also complained that the playlist that he left running in his absence had NONE of the songs I had emailed him previous to the event. I wanted beatles, old school MJ, and country and instead was listening to Bob Marley. After I confronted him, he totally stepped it up and did a good job the rest of the night. He kept asking me if I needed anything, and checked in with me frequently. He stopped disappearing, and stayed at his DJ booth. At the end of the night I had a good time and he ended up playing good music, but for 600.00 I expected better service. He is lucky that I am a pretty laid back client
