We had a good experience using Event Rents for my wedding. The reason for taking a star off is that the communication was a bit difficult- we had many points of contact, and because of that, some things got missed in the planning and had to be asked after. However, on the wedding day everything arrived just as planned and it all looked beautiful! They have a great selection of items and if you pay attention to the prices, costs can be kept not too high. Do not Rent from this company. They took my order 2 weeks ago and have strung me along telling me everything is good and they are just confirming with tenting. I told them that if there is a problem with the tent I can still take the table, Chairs etc. I was told the order is in the system. After 5 calls and being told that all was good, just 3 days before the event I was told by Scott that they hand nothing for me and then he just hung up on me. Totally unprofessional. I got married in September at Cielo at Castle Pines; they require you to use vendors off there approved vendors list, so this is how I ended up using Events Rents. They supplied the silverware, linen and serving pieces for my reception. The cost to rent the china and serving pieces was asinine, but I can't blame them for that since in the event industry (especially weddings), everything costs way more than it's actually worth. They had a good selection of table linen at a variety of price points and I was able to find 3 different colors in linens for my dinner tables, accent tables, and wedding party tables. I was initially pleased with my table linens. However, the day of my wedding when the tables were being set-up, one of my bridesmaids pointed out to me how sloppy they all looked. I was busy getting ready for the ceremony, but I peaked at them and they looked horribly wrinkled and tacky. My maid-of-honor pointed it out to the crew and they assured her that they would be steamed and straightened before the wedding. My contact at Events Rents was Maria. Unfortunately, they were never fixed. Every single one of my main tables and accent tables had linens that were wrinkled and creased all over. The length of linens used on some of the side tables was not the proper size and were just left hanging there, they didn't bother to try and tuck them in or anything. When I got my wedding pictures back, I was horrified. The wrinkled, sloppy linens made my tables look cheap- and they definitely were not. I've included a few pictures to show. If a company is going to charge this much for table linens and china, they can at least take the time to steam them and place them properly on the tables. Thanks to Events Rents for making my wedding tables look like total crap!!! They should be ashamed for charging me anything, considering how bad they look. ***UPDATE*** After reading this review and seeing the pictures,the owner reached out to my Mom (since she's the one who paid for the linens) and was not only extremely apologetic but also refunded her money. Event Rents went above and beyond for me. All of the people that I spoke with on the phone were super friendly and made everything really easy. I wanted to rent a dance floor for our wedding as well as table linens. Ten minutes after I put my order in, I got a phone call from Event Rents telling me that they had run out of outdoor dance floors, and they were very sorry. I unfortunately had waited until the last minute (3 weeks prior to the wedding) so it was kind of expected. I didn't want to pay the $85.00 delivery/pick-up fee just for 12 tablecloths and no dance floor, so I decided I would cancel my order. Instead the guys at Event Rents called their distributors and found another dance floor for me on very short notice. The dance floor was set up well before I even got to the venue, and they picked everything up the next day, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. As a planner, I've worked with event rents for the last 7 years. So when it was time for my wedding day, I knew exactly who to call. They are SO reliable, on time, everything with the order is always accurate, they are easy to work with, have a huge team to back them that are friendly and responsive (especially Mike, Maria or anyone you get) and have high quality items. Well definitely DON'T work here. First time working with this company today and one of the crew chiefs came up to me and told me I belong in the kitchen cooking and cleaning dishes... while the other co workers were being huge jerks towards me. They were also talking badly in Spanish about my friend and I thinking we couldn't understand. Everybody needs work and I was out there busting my ass trying to make money to pay my bills and he just had to come say that to me for some reason. I've never had anyone disrespect me like that and coming from a so called "boss?" I don't think so. I hate to write a bad review, but I feel as though I should. My sister is getting married next year and had reached out via e-mail to get a quote for a tent and dance floor rental, they never responded. So I then called to inquire about rentals. They told me someone would call to give me the quote in one to two days. I never heard from them, so I called yet again and they said they would e-mail me the quote later that day. Never heard from them. I understand being busy, but this is just ridiculous. Hopefully they don't treat all their inquiring costumers this way. We chose Event Rents for our rentals because it was a required vendor for our venue (Spruce Mountain Ranch). Because of this, we knew that they would be trustworthy, reliable, and high quality. We scheduled an appointment to come to the show room to pick out our rentals. They have a large showroom with every possible rental item and color to see. We started in our own separate room to pick our tablecloth. Once you pick your material, then you can pick your color. They are very upfront about the pricing and showing you the next steps up or down. They have a sample table and place everything that you end up choosing on the table to help you pick what you like best and see your vision. Next was the napkin color. They have drawers full of plates and silverware to choose from. They have lots of shelves to choose your water goblets. They also show you a few different napkin folding styles (who knew that was such a small detail that you have to make a decision for!) We worked with Ashtyn this day and she was helpful and friendly in answering our questions. She put together our quote for us and emailed us. Luckily, they work super close with Rocky Mountain Catering (our caterer) so our event manager for RMC had access to and could change our quote/order for us to make things a lot easier. When we had questions about our order or wanted to change something, we emailed and Mike responded quickly to our questions over email and calling. Know that there are a few things that you don't plan for when you budget for your rentals. Not only do you have to have enough linens for your guest tables (and make sure you have the right size of the tables at the venue) but also for your catering tables, DJ table, and cocktail tables (luckily the caterer knows these table sizes and how many there are/need to be). If you want your cocktail tables to have a pop of color and be cinched, then you need to order chair sashes. We loved the natural chairs at our venue so we didn't need to order chair covers or chair sashes. The damage waiver is an extra added cost. It is one of those things were you are kind of forced into, because you don't know if spilling some candle wax on the tablecloth will have you paying more than the damage waiver itself, and it's just safer to pay it up front and cover yourself from any problems. The same goes for delivery and pickup. You are able to pick it up yourself, but know that it is quite a lot of items, many of them breakable, and what happens when the items are dirty at the end of the night. Therefore it saves a lot of headache when you don't have to even touch the rentals as they are seamlessly delivered and picked up for you. They have a nice online sign and pay system making it easy to pay, however it wasn't working for me for some reason, so they were able to process my payment over the phone for me, which was helpful. Overall, there are loads and loads of choices and budget to play with here. I would recommend them for a seamless, high quality rental experience. read more
