I know three stars sounds mediocre, but that's only because this venue is fairly new and I see a lot of potential. For a GNO, I gathered up my crew to see two classic Def Jam Comedy stars. When we were in college we would gather around the tv set and cackle for the hour-long special. Kenny Howell and Pierre were two of the first comedians to appear on the show and we couldn't wait to see them live! EBT is a nice-sized venue in the south suburbs with chic decor. The only issue I had was with the service. I arrived about 15 minutes after my party and the already had drinks. They informed me to go to the bar to order because no servers were coming around (although I saw several wandering about aimlessly). I ordered a drink and since I was informed about the slow waiters, o ordered food as well...the Parmesan garlic chicken wings with fries. The bartender was very friendly and fast and I wanted to leave her a nice tip on my card, but there was no tip option. So strange cuz you can literally buy a Streetwise newspaper from a Streetwise vendor and there's a tip option on their not-pad. had to scrounge up some singles from my bottomless purse to tip her. ANYHOO, I go back to my table and told my crew I ordered food and if they wanted some, they needed to go to the bar. As they hemmed and hawed, a disgruntled young man came by and disgruntledry (yes, I make up words ) took their food order. Moments later a server came with my order and asked me to pay but I told her I paid at the bar. She looked at me skeptically but I insisted I did and she should go ask the bartender. About 15 minutes later the disgruntled dude came back with everyone else's order his disgruntledness was so obvious, we were slightly uncomfortable. But that's when I noticed you could leave tips on the waiters iPads. The lady came back around to check on us so I bought another drink and gave her a tip. I mean, ain't nobody out here waiting tables for no tip. We all shared wings, tacos, salmon and jerk rolls and the other good part is that the food was phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned, sauced and no leftovers. The other great thing about EBT is the owner Tiffany. What a gracious host! She was friendly, hospitable and made everyone feel comfortable. You can tell she cares about her establishment. I hope she's able to find a good FOH manger/supervisor to help that aspect of the biz run smoother. All in all, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for another show. If you're a city-dweller, it's worth the trip. read more

What a beautiful event space. From the outside, you would never know how nice this place is. It's right next-door to the Lynwood bowling alley. Unfortunately the parking lot is very small, but I arrived early so I didn't have a problem. I don't know why some event spaces do this, but to get into the bathroom stall, you have to turn sideways because the toilet is very close to the stall door. I love the loft looking ceilings. I'm considering hosting an event here. I'm not sure if the owner herself offers decorating services, but the place was impeccably decorated. read more

I visited this venue for a Luther Vandross concert. The ambiance and atmosphere were amazing! The staff were very friendly and polite.

On behalf of my parents , I'm not pleased with the outcome . It was a birthday celebration for my mother and father on 01-04-2025 . The venue setup was nice though after being there for 2 minutes is when I noticed several things that weren't ok . Appearance/ Space Walking through the hallway into the actual venue you can see how cramed the tables were viewing from the side door. The little wiggle room us as guest had wasn't much. To get by someone either had to stand up or move to have another person get by. For there to be a seating chart stating how many tables there was one table missing which remaining guest had to stand at the tall tables . Out of 8 tables there were only 7. Letters: Mary name was of view and Begood was thrown to the side which was eventually covered by the last table that was placed together 2 hours before the party ended . Appetizers/ Food : The appetizers were served in mini shot glasses which wasn't worth the priced my parents paid for . It was like serving for a kids party the size and the amount given. During the small window of serving appetizers they stopped at 8PM which dinner wasnt served an 1 1/2 which was 9:30PM . In the midst of serving food the server with the dreads kept placed his hands in his jogging pants oppose to his apron . Never in my 32 years of living have I seen anything so unprofessional and filthy like that and he kept doing it . Despite the food being served late and the nasty server no water was served which guest had to pay $3 for water. DEHYDRATED AF . Baffled at the fact they charging for water rather it being free. Serving food with no water Dessert table : two servers dragging the dessert glasses shifted the wagon wrong and tumbled damn near 75% percent of what was suppose to go on the table . On top of them destroying the birthday cake . It's so many things that went wrong and for the owner not to compensate anything is being money hungry and unprofessional. Mind you she's ignoring text messages and calls. Not worth renting unless you ok with having a terrible outcome for the price you pay . read more

Don't waste your time going to this place. Cover charge at the door for the event and a then a mandatory $20.00 min for food and drinks. it's sad that you try to patronize black businesses only to have them try to nickel and dime you. Staff very unprofessional, not friendly which is the norm when patronizing black establishment. This was the first and last visiting this place. read more

Had a Party 1 month ago $5300 Terrible experience. after two months of planning being reassured that everything will turn out perfect I would be so satisfied that i'd cry. turns out I cried because everything was horrible. Firstly, they double booked the party and was still cleaning up. I had arrived one hour prior to my party. My room was not ready. I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes in order to get my makeup done my event was set to start at 7 PM. They were still putting up decorations after eight we pay $900 for our name in big letters only to find that we had to argue with the staff because they had them on the side of the stage where the DJ was set up. We asked him to move them had to argue back-and-forth in order to get things changed their argument being is that the letters were heavy. which is not my fault shortly after that my husband comes to me and tells me that our $400 cake is messed up then we paid an extra $300 for hors d'oeuvres which my guest never received they were given hors d'oeuvres from the previous party, which was an embarrassment to my guest and myself cheese and olive a half of stick of mozzarella and every guest did not even receive it. Oh, I'm sorry. Also, they had noodles in a cup pasta. I should say clearly not a part of my contract guess were arriving and asking for a heat to be cut on. They were sitting with their coats the whole time could not get up and dance mind you it's January. There is no way you pay for event space and come out of the cold back into the cold. Numerous gas kept asking for heat, which they were told no. I also paid for a sweets which was empty for most of the night when they finally brought out the sweets I had no anywhere near the amount I was supposed to have the table looked empty and terrible. They were dropping the sweets as they were coming out. and since my cake got messed up, we had to put the top of the cake on the table terrible then more gas was arriving as a night on I found guest standing. I was supposed to have long square tables. I ended up with big round tables with no space for people to move around not only that there were only seven tables out which in my contract there was supposed to be eight the eighth table did not make it out until almost 10:00 PM. They were still putting decorations on the table close to 8 PM. Food was served almost 2 hours after arrival when it was supposed to have been at 8 PM never got my hors d'oeuvres. No water to drink no bread, the staff had horrible attitude. They were rude to my guests as well. The whole night my husband and I were upset. We had a band there as well as a DJ. We could not enjoy the band because it was super cold. People were sick already so they had to sit with their coats on and listen instead of dancing when the heat finally came on hours later we were able to enjoy the DJ, which was probably close to 930 10:00 PM. My party was over at 12 I forgot to mention that the guest of 75 did not show maybe a good 45 to 50 we had missing food. They lied and said that my guest double back when the staff in fact took the plates home we were watching them leave with our food midnight this was the worst experience my balloon arch that were supposed to be an arch were would look to have been left over deflated balloons from the first party so in speaking with the owner, tiffany the next day who was sick herself, offered her apology for her staff and offered me a grand back in cash and a free party which was already quoted for $ 2500 my granddaughter's baby shower I told her that would be fine since she was sick. We could discuss more in detail in a couple of days. It took almost 2 weeks for her to get back with me when she did she then had another call told me she will call back never heard a thing again. She sent a text message for the baby shower actual day after my party. I asked for details in a contract, which was never granted the bakery , nor the venue took responsibility for my cake, which never was able to hit the sweets table. I have been tired of calling back-and-forth to be the one to fix this issue when it was not my issue to fix I paid for my party I paid for my band. I paid for the venue and I paid for the DJ everyone else held there end of this contract besides the venue now I have no choice, but to take her to small claims Court, Sue Sue for my damages and my court cost. This is ridiculous. I will never use this venue again. I will also have the rest of my guess to write their experiences as well as statements for court. it's a shame. I can only enjoy maybe two hours of a five hour party. read more

Events By Tiffany is a very Beautiful Venue, I love everything about it, the Beautiful chandeliers, entryway decor, the food is delicious, I love the Salmon Egg-rolls they are my favorite. The staff was very friendly, the Bartenders are always a joy to talk to and the service is great, I recommend this place you will love it for any type of event. Let me start by saying my friend was so hurt on her special day because the venue did not live up to the expectations of what was supposed to be delivered. The venue was freezing they had no heat on, the Hors d'oeuvres were not my friends it's was from an event that was done before hers. they barely wanted to give enough of the food out for dinner one scoop of this and that and my friend paid for this food. This place deserves no stars. It is a shame to have such a beautiful venue and not know what to do either it. I went my friend birthday party and it was a shit show. Dessert was wheeled out on a cart they fell over and the mother daughter duo tried to scoop it up off the cart. Then to hear appetizers was fed to our party from a previous party. The staff took huge plates of food that was not served to our party. My friends cake was smashed with no one being held responsible. Simply put the management and staff were horrible and need to be replaced. To charge anyone that amount of money to have someone else appetizers canned greens, dry Mac, flavor less lamb chops, and did I mention the lids on the chafing dishes none of them matched each other. The only thing that was slightly okay was the drinks but nothing else was worth the money that was paid! Refund the whole damn party and shut that place down!!! read more

Attended an event yesterday at this establishment and I was highly disappointed. The decorations for the event were extremely beautiful, as well as the event space. The problems came in with the food, staff, and service. The food was brunch style which consisted of Lego Waffles which were over cooked, shrimp which was over cooked and tasteless, instant grits which had no taste, sausage, meatballs, bacon, chicken tenders which were tasteless and over cooked as well, and salad which was store bought from ALDIs. They also served hors d'oeuvres while we were eating and it's normally before during cocktail hour. You can tell the food was rushed and no thought was put into it. When a gentleman at the table asked the older server for salt and pepper her attitude was distasteful. We also had to continue to ask for water for the table and at one point it was taken off the table and replaced with a red watered down drink. The bar was also a problem. Pricing was all over the place. We were getting charged for putting juice in our mixed drinks! Later in the evening I purchased a $3 bottle of water from the young lady bartender and she was given $20 in which I had to tell her I wanted my change! Other party goers also had the same problem out of this young lady when it came to overcharging and adding tips to their bill without their consent. Also, the establishments air conditioner went out which made it very hard to enjoy yourself. It felt better outside which is where I found the majority of the party goers. The staff was not friendly and welcoming. And in turn this made me fell out of place and unwelcome. I would not recommend this establishment when it comes to having an event. I really hope a retraining of some sort takes place when it comes to staff and they work on a better food selection because it was simply horrible. read more
