Less than 30 days out from our wedding we were informed that we would need full service catering staff per our venues requirements. We looked through the recommended list of vendors and found Events by Wise. I reached out to Shari and she quickly responded with all the information I needed. Shari's team consists of not only a full service catering staff but also a team of experienced individuals and coordinators- which makes them an even better full service team to hire because they understand weddings and what is required for a successful event. Shari and her team went above and beyond to assure I had no worries at all! On top of this, the price was very reasonable!! The service included more than what we were quoted for elsewhere. We were able to offer the type of service we could only dream of providing. Water, wine and champagne were served table side. Our hors d'oeuvres were served on elegant platters by Shari's team. They placed all of the chargers, plates, cutlery, napkins and menus. They assisted wherever needed and assured everything was taken care of. I decided very last minute that I wanted a champagne welcome shelf for my guests and Shari's team executed this perfectly!! Shari's team worked gracefully with my wedding planner, caterer, and the events manager to make my wedding everything I envisioned. I would 100% hire Shari and her team again! I recently served as Matron of Honor for a wedding coordinated by "Events by Wise," and I want to share my observations regarding my sister's (the bride's) treatment by Shari. One major issue was the lack of personal presence. Just three days before the wedding, Shari called to inform my sister that she would not attend due to a conflicting commitment to her granddaughter's 16th birthday. Although the contract stated Shari's presence was not guaranteed, she led my sister to believe she would be there to fulfill her vision for the day. Imagine the stress the bride felt upon hearing this news! My sister was overwhelmed with worry about whether the assistants would understand her vision as she had explained it to Shari during planning meetings. As someone with a background in high-end hospitality, I find this treatment of a client (especially a bride!) unprofessional and, frankly, mean. To add to the stress, my sister could not contact the assistants directly until the day before the wedding. While the assistants did a commendable job executing the wedding, some significant components were mishandled. The bridal party arrived at the bridal suite an hour before the ceremony was set to begin, fully ready after preparing at an Airbnb. However, just 30 minutes before the ceremony, one of the coordinators informed the bride that they were still figuring out how to get her out without the groom seeing her. This detail should have been sorted out earlier, ideally during the rehearsal. The ceremony, originally scheduled for 4 PM, did not start until 4:30 PM, which felt unacceptable. The wedding coordinator's primary role should be to ensure the schedule is followed. Additionally, we felt rushed despite waiting an hour in the bridal suite. At the ceremony site, the coordinators distributed bouquets but failed to bring the flower girl's basket, a cherished family heirloom. When this was pointed out, one coordinator dismissively stated, "Don't worry about it, we don't have time to go get it." This hurried feeling persisted into the reception. When it was time for the wedding party to enter the reception for our introductions, we were told last minute that we had to use a different entrance than what had been rehearsed due to a locked door. This lack of foresight caused confusion and disrupted the flow of the entrances. Although the wedding was absolutely magical and my sister had such thoughtful and beautiful touches throughout the ceremony and reception- there were elements that did not meet her expectations and her vision. She expressed disappointment about the dessert table, which Shari had promised would be stunning. While all the wedding guests thought it was a beautiful dessert display, if the bride wasn't satisfied with it- does it really matter what others think? The situation escalated when my sister wrote an honest review expressing her disappointment. Instead of addressing the issues professionally, Shari responded defensively and attacked my sister, even including false claims that she was an hour late to her own rehearsal!! This response felt shocking and unkind. Shari never apologized or reached out to my sister to discuss what went wrong. This wedding was especially emotional for our family, as the groom's father had passed away two months prior, and we were coping with the impending loss of our beloved aunt. It would have meant a lot if Shari had shown some compassion towards my sister, even if there were changes in plans. While no wedding is perfect, when hiring professionals, you expect warmth and respect. Given my experience, I cannot recommend Events by Wise." We hired Shari for the month of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding and SO happy that we did! We couldn't have pulled it all off without her. She handled all communication with our vendors, helped us with liability insurance, read over contracts and caught things we did not, and so much more! She kept us on task leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding she kept everything running smoothly...and all with a smile :) Once she was on board for the month before the wedding we felt a huge weight lifted and had the confidence that no detail would be missed!! We hired Shari as our month of coordinator for our May wedding. In the beginning, she seemed great. She met us for a venue walk through and promised to make our event outstanding. We had our month of meeting with her once we paid in full. We talked about all the details and laid out what our day would look like. Shari promised us a beautiful dessert display and made us believe she would exclusively be coordinating our wedding. Three days before our wedding, she informed us that two of her employees would be taking over. They had never been at any of the meetings and Shari wasn't even able to provide me with their information. I was unable to contact them until the day of the rehearsal. This was a new venue for both coordinators. They seemed lost, disorganized, and had to keep referring to the notes provided for them. The owners of the venue said they would not use the walkie talkies provided. This caused me to be a half hour late due to miscommunication. Luckily, I decorated most of the venue myself. The guestbook table was thrown together, and the dessert table was nothing as promised. The flower girl basket my daughter was supposed to walk down the aisle with (and had sentimental value) was never provided by the coordinators. We had numerous complaints from vendors, especially about the timeline not being followed. We were rushed through the cake cutting because the coordinators failed to start the speeches on time. They did a great job cleaning up and did the best they could with the limited time they had to prepare. If Shari were to include her employees in the lead up meetings, it would help events run a lot smoother. read more

If you are looking for a fun way to add a bar service to your wedding day, I would hire Events by wise to bring one of there horse trailers out! First off the horse trailers are so cute! Shari was so easy to work with a very helpful with all the questions I had before the Wedding. Then the day of my wedding that bartenders were so nice and new how to do their job. With my wedding Venue being outside it was so nice not to worry about making sure drinks were cold and that we had plenty. Shari helped with the amount to buy and what all we needed! HIRE SHARI! She was our month of coordinator for our Wedding 5/11/19. We were originally thinking that we didn't need a coordinator and we would figure it out on our own (ha!). As I would make my to do list I would get overwhelmed and I kept finding myself googling "Do I need a wedding coordinator?" because the task of planning our wedding was starting to consume my entire life (including my sleep). I finally read one post that said it was the best money she had spent on her wedding. We asked our photographer, Bethany Petrik, if she recommended anyone and she immediately said Shari. We reached out to her on a Sunday, she got back to us instantly and said she was out of the office and would call me the following morning. We talked and instantly LOVED her. She is extremely professional, organized, bubbly and fun. We scheduled an in person run down and went over what she offers (everything from day of coordinator, month to several months). Booked her immediately. She ended up SAVING us a ton of money. She gave me these gigantic and beautiful wedding magazines (which, yes, her amazing work is in) and discount codes for RSVPs and Invitations. She signed us up on a website called Aisleplanner.com which is where EVERYTHING lived - our vendor contacts, timeline, who we owed money to and reminders when to pay them, she created an actual image of our reception and ceremony lay out and where every table would go. We also communicated 90% of the time on that website. We would get e-mail alerts when anything was updated - we threw away our stupid binder that we bought to keep us organized because it was all done digitally! She has contacts through out the entire industry and was able to find us the best prices on rentals, florals (which she did herself), and way more. Some things she did that stand out that if we didn't have her we would have been a nervous wreck: -Caught we didn't have enough glasses -Caught we didn't have a Welcome table -Caught we didn't have TABLE CLOTHS -Communicated entirely with all of the vendors during the last month (we didn't need to talk to ANYONE) -She caught things day of the wedding that we didn't even hear about or know about to avoid us from stressing and fixed them on her own -Saw we were running low on ice day of and had someone go get some -Created a timeline and she made she we stuck to it to the T. I've never been to a wedding where everything is on time. She made it happen! Weddings and other large event are what Shari does for a living. We are relatively organized people but we do not have the experience to anticipate all of the details that go into planning, what could go wrong, etc. There are so many moving parts. Lastly, she rolls with the punches! We changed so much stuff the last week, 2 weeks and even on the day of our wedding (needed an extra boutonniere that we forgot and she whipped it right up). She does this all with an extremely positive attitude and a dang smile. She is a true professional. Also, we would like to add that she had a very busy schedule with several other weddings but we never ever felt like she had any other clients except for US. It was a serious pleasure working with her and her daughter Dani. We may be bias but we truly feel like we had the best wedding ever and we are so thankful that we get to look back on our day and completely gush and say "there is nothing that could have made our wedding more amazing". This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful Quinceañera. It was extremely thought out and it was wonderful to speak with the mother of the Guest of Honor who gave such high recognition to the event planner. She stated that the vision she had for this "once in a lifetime experience" was created by Events by Wise. As a guest of an event that was just so beautiful, it was nice to hear that an Event Coordinator was so diverse in her plannings. She not only specialized in Wedding coordination but specializes in ALL events that people request. I have been to quite a bit of weddings and Shari was the first coordinator that I saw that was along side her staff helping them. She wasn't just standing around, watching people or directing staff, or the vendors but she was BUSSING tables, picking up trash, organizing the dances, scrapping food of the plates, taking trash out. It was so nice to see an owner of a business helping staff. Shari was so attentive to the guests and their needs throughout the entire event to include before and after care. When there was a delay for the dinner to start, Events By Wise owner quickly rearranged the itinerary to accommodate the Guest of Honor, family, & guests to ensure that the event ran smoothly and that the other vendors there were not off schedule & the parents got their money's worth from every vendor.
