PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS! Oh the ever after chapel.... The first time we called the chapel the owner of it was so nice. She quoted us a really great price! Then when we went out there to view it, she decided that she wanted to raise the price by $400! We did not agree to this and said we would have to talk about it before we agreed to anything. The next time we called her she gave us an even lower price. Talk about being confused. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful! Its very old and vintage looking. My now husband and I decided to go ahead and go with this venue since it was a very reasonable price. We talked to Judy (owner), signed a contract, and paid the deposit. Judy said she would send the contract within a few days. Well a month went by and we had not received anything. Judy kept coming up with excuses as to why she hasn't sent us the contract. When we finally received the contract she added in a $150 cleaning few that had not been discussed. We spoke with her about it and decided that we would just pay it and move on with our lives. I called Judy about 3 weeks before the wedding to go over having our rehearsal there and she informed me that it would be another $250 for us to have a 15 minute rehearsal! We opted to have it at a family members house so we wouldn't be forking over more money. Now its the day of the wedding.... First off Judy wouldn't allow us to be at the venue before 1 pm. My husband and the groomsmen get there to start setting up and Judy does not have any of the table clothes or the tables out for the reception. Anytime anyone asked to get the items she provided, Judy would walk off and disappear for a few minutes. It was very chaotic and unorganized. By the time I arrived 2 hours after the guys had been there, not much had been accomplished. Luckily my sister is a take charge kind of person and she followed Judy around to get the table clothes and everything else needed. Judy did not have enough table clothes for the tables, she did not spray for mosquitoes, AND there was this awful sewage smell by the bridal room. We expressed our concerns for the smell and she went around spraying vinegar water all over the place. It was a disgusting mix!! Then, there was never enough toilet paper in the restrooms, she wouldn't turn the AC on until an hour before the ceremony started, and the grooms room only had a fan. There was a window unit in the room, but it was not in working order. By this time we are so frustrated we just wanted to get to the ceremony so we could try and enjoy ourselves. Now here comes the ceremony. Judy did not listen to anyone when we asked her to wait to send the bridesmaid and the flower girl down. She just pushed them down when it wasn't time and the music wasn't ready. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The chapel is gorgeous, don't get me wrong.. Now its time for the reception... The only place available to have the reception is outside.. There were mosquitoes everywhere! Fortunately my MIL brought a bunch of bug spray holders for the tables. There is no place to dance outside, its only a grass area.. Not to big of a deal. My husband and I are taking pictures and talking with our guest outside and Judy is in the building eating and drinking our food! Not only am I super pissed about that, we didn't even get any food for ourselves! Judy had some friend there and she was eating the food to. OH and I forgot to mention that I am 6 months pregnant and starving!! So the evening continues and we are trying to not think about how unprofessional this woman is. By the end of the night we are just ready to leave cause of all the events that have taken place there. We leave and my FIL and one of the groomsmen stay behind to get the alcohol deposit back from Judy. SHE IS HOLDING THE check hostage until they help her finish cleaning up... WHAT IN THE world was the extra cleaning fee for? Needless to say, the venue itself is wonderful expect for the owner. I wouldn't have your wedding here unless you patience and you need a cheap place to have a wedding!!!! read more

As a vendor, I have experienced plenty of venues. To most of them, while they were pretty locations, I have been indifferent. Ever After Chapel, is not a location I could be indifferent about, for many reasons. To start, the location is incredibly beautiful. The chapel is positioned in a more rural area in a nice neighborhood, and is easy to locate due to it being off of a small country highway (good for guests who have never been in the area.) The outside is well maintained and simply decorated, making it fit for any style of wedding, although it does cater more to the Texas rustic wedding crowd. The inside seems to be usually pre-decorated, and is largely white wood, with darker wood floors, which makes for beautiful photos. The windows are frosted, which produces beautiful ceremony lighting even when the light outside is harsh. The areas where the bride and groom get ready are a little on the smaller side, but decorated tastefully and uniquely, which is a definite plus because photographs indoors at the Ever After Chapel are never boring. Judy, the owner, is very kind, and is very hands-on, which on anyone's big day, is a good thing. It's nice to know that there is an extra pair of eyes and set of hands willing to help, and she really does a good job. You can tell she is extremely passionate about having your day run smoothly and will do just about anything in her power to make sure that it does. The only con that I noticed about the Ever After Chapel (which is more of a planning issue than anything else) is that during the time right before the sun sets, there is very harsh sunlight in the reception outdoor area, so if you decide that this location is the place for you (and I strongly recommend it) then I encourage brides-to-be to take note and research when the sun will set so that your photographer will have good lighting for your first dance, father daughter dance, etc. I am very happy to have been able to photograph in this venue, and always felt welcome to ask questions about what was next, where I was allowed to be during the ceremony, etc. (and receive good answers, too!) because of Judy's hospitality and hands-on attitude. I was there too I did see Judy with a glass of wine or two or three but hell she was celebrating, ha ha that man I'm glad the security lady ask him to leave I was there at the bar when she told the lady not to serve him anything, he got very smart even when she turned her head to walk away he called her a BITCH , she never heard him but we did . she was very professional and ask him to please meet her in the back, we didn't see him no more..... SOMEBODY CALLED SECURITY! for real the place needs a real painting update you can't see in the bathroom it's too dark and there's no locks the door had to be guarded the whole time and my son went into a wrong room because he was running from a rat he saw , the Room was completely filled with bags of garbage at least 4 and it must been dirty clothes that was in the floor they stunk , and her shower was filled with mold , the door is hidden it's right behind a chair near the bridal room. this place is really for a low low pay bride and groom, the smell is why we had the reception outside. For her to live like that she must not have family come over, or how could they let her shower in that place. Security lady yes very up scale lady ,polite and tried to make everyone comfortable even at times was picking up and cleaning for us you can tell she loves that place . Judy was nice and is over worked she wasn't dressed very nice for someone invited to a wedding, and she's way so very loud she sounded buzzed she when we first got there, why does she squeal and act like she's 25, she really needs to shut down and update and clean that room i feel sorry for her trying to keep the place running but seriously I almost lost my son in your wash room or garbage room . I would like to share my families wonderful experience at the Ever After Chapel in Aubrey, TX. My daughter, Breann and her fiancée, Tommy wed in the historical and beautiful chapel last November. Due to some extraordinary circumstances, their wedding date changed and Ms. Judy Cochran jumped through ever possible hoop with joy and made not only their wedding ceremony, but also their reception an incredible experience for all. With about 100 guests, the Ever After Chapel was the perfect venue for both sides of the wedding. The over 100 year old chapel offered the perfect romantic and warm atmosphere for a my daughters biggest day of her life. The wedding party, both bridesmaids and groomsmen were pampered with just the right amount of attention, yet felt total freedom to change little things to fit their personalities, needs and most importantly their dreams. The ceremony went off without a hitch and their wasn't a dry eye in the house. The reception which immediately followed used both the indoor reception area and the magnificently lighted back yard. Wedding cake and gift festivities took place indoors, while a BBQ-catered dinner was enjoyed outside under their huge oak tree. Quite the site. Incredible atmosphere. Ever After Chapel facility, Judy Cochran and her helpers made my daughters wedding the perfect day she had dreamt about for many a year. I would strongly recommend this quaint venue for any budget. Amazing, that a Ministry review is taken off and the unjust ones stay on. I have attended weddings and events at the Ever After Chapel, and they have been beautiful and could not ask for a great place to get married or have a Christian event at. Judy the owner takes pride of the 100 plus year old chapel and the grounds. She is very easy to get a long with and make the event or wedding as if she was the bride. Yes, she has rules and all places have rules. One of the items that is very hard for any event is the amount of people. If you tell Judy you are going to have 50 people she will quote you 50, then you come back and say no it could be 75, then the price will change. That is with any place the price changes. I never had ANY problems paying the difference for an event if the amount of people changed. The chapel is decorated in the setting of the church era. The grounds are beautiful and kept up to a spectiular setting. At night the lights hanging off the trees and around the fence line makes it such a romantic setting. My husband and I married at The Ever After Chapel on May 3, 2014. I was so excited when my mother found this location! It fits my style to the T. Judy, the owner, was always extremely helpful. She was always willing to show us the venue any time we were needing to measure something or questioning the layout. She was very accommodating with our needs/wants. She even had some decor she let us use which was amazing! I absolutely loved the backyard reception. Its really dressed up with huge trees with chandeliers and lights. Theres so many photo backdrop possibilities here! I loved the iron gate! we used it as our entrance and exit.. it worked out so perfectly! I highly recommend The Ever After Chapel! I attended a wedding at this Ever After Chapel and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everything works so smoothly everybody was happy as the bride and groom. The wonderful Ms Judy who runs the place was very helpful with everything. This place is like a diamond in the rough is an adorable old chapel with the cute rustic Victorian charm to, the formal you can dress up in the formal or you can be a cute little couple just doing an elopement. This place is just too cute for words. Then there's the cute adorable courtyard with the big oak tree in the center in the twinkle lights that light up the tree at night the descending rooms the table with the with flowers and candles and archways you just have to see it its breathtaking. read more

I have gone to Ever After Chapel to see if I wanted to use it for my venue for my wedding.I love it and that is where my wedding will be!!! Judy has been so helpful and accommodating to me!!!
