They posted signs for no parking for the festival so people could still shop but didn't enforce it. Tried getting into Albertson's to do an errand before going to the festival and the entire parking lot was full. That's never happened before in the 16 years I've gone there. The part of the festival that I did see was cool, which was just the arts and crafts booths. They also had a stage, pet area, bouncy toys, rock climbing wall and more but didn't bother crawling through the crowd to see them. If I had kids with me, I would have.

The "Market in the Park" was relatively small and consisted of hand made items, service providers, timeshare and a few other typical festival stands. I wasn't too excited about any of the food vendors but bought a couple of items to help support. If you're not a local resident I would not go out of my way to attend the festival because you'll spend less than an hour there. Only positive is if you did make the drive you can stop by the Seattle Premium Outlets a couple of miles away.

Beautiful location and great artist booths, but that is about where it ends. I was excited to read…read morethat they had a whole kids corner that had free activities. Therefor, I made a special effort to get there for that limited time, only 4 hours in the middle of the afternoon. When we arrived, we had to walk clear through the event before we even found the "kids corner" and then we realized there was only about 3 things you could do for free, bracelet making, drawing and crayon spin. You could pay for face painting and half a dozen bouncy houses, which none of them were toddler friendly. I was very disappointed. It was a lot of effort to get there and then there was really nothing for my daughter to do except be pushed around in her stroller. The layout of the booths were somewhat disjointed and did not flow well. As well, the festival is in a beautiful location, but the layout did not take advantage of this. And, the entrance to the event was crowded and not very well marked. You also had to walk about 3/4 of the way into the event before they had event maps. This booth I just happened to stumble upon. We finally ditched the festival, went to Ivar's to have a nice meal in the air conditioning and then walked back to catch the bus back to the parking area. Did I mention the bus/shuttle was awful as well? I arrived at the school around 12:30p. People were already parking on the grass, we had to wait a half hour for the bus and then there were no accommodations for strollers or handicap people. I had to ask people to help me onto the bus with my stroller, cooler and toddler. To say the least, I will not attend this event again. I would rather drive clear out to Port Townsend for their festival, than deal with this one again.

Every October tickets can be purchased (all proceeds donated to the Snohomish Senior Center) between $10-$50. Discover is an accepted form of payment. For $30+tax I receive my choice of 5 brew tastings, a souvenir glass and a $5 lunch coupon. Additional tokens be purchased for 3/$5. Credit and debit cards are accepted.This year there were about 18 local breweries on site. Some breweries sell their logo-ed t-shirts as well as their bottled brew. Bottle brew must be purchased as one is walking out the door. I applied my lunch coupon towards a spicy bratwurst topped with spicy mustard. There were three food options to choose from this year. Last year only one food option was available. While enjoying the tastings it's fun to rate the local breweries and enter the raffles. All the staff are volunteers so treat them with the respect that they deserve. I look forward to next years Brewfest. Love my brew and love my elders.

Kla Ha Ya Days is an annual festival mostly around Downtown Snohomish. They have a bunch of events…read more- a Carnival at Harvey Air Field, a kid's fair at Bickford station, a parade downtown, a street fair downtown, a vendor market downtown, a car show downtown, and music at the Avenue A gazebo downtown. Everything's mostly what you'd expect - small town vibes, tons of people out and about, hot sun (wear sunscreen!), and a ridiculous amount of stuff to do over the 5-day event. I didn't go to this, but the funniest event to me is the "Dunk the Mayor" event at the street fair. Super funny.

You can't have a bad day at the beach and the festival location is great. Parking is ample enough. But there was really nothing to make me stay awhile. I believe there was only one food booth serving hotdogs or such. Being new to the area, I make mental lists of festivals that make me want to keep coming back. This isn't one of them.
