We visited the "new" Rusty Nail at Thomas Family Farm on reopening weekend. My husband and I were really looking forward to it, as we've always loved TFF and were excited to have a new place to eat in Snohomish. First and foremost, the food was delicious! We were not disappointed in that area at all. The presentation was beautiful, and both the quality and portion sizes were spot on. We had the wedge salad, corn ribs, and steak bites (made with steak from their own farm), and everything was excellent. The service was also fantastic. The team at TFF is among the best in Snohomish. A couple of things could be improved, which I imagine are growing pains from opening weekend. The biggest challenge was that we had to close out our tab each time we ordered rather than keeping one tab open throughout our visit. It was very inconvenient as a guest experience, so hopefully that's something they're able to streamline as they settle into operations. The other minor issue was that the store area wasn't quite ready yet, so we weren't able to fully experience that part of the visit. I'm looking forward to seeing it completed when we come back. Overall, not much has changed from the Rusty Nail we knew before, but the food is great, the service is wonderful, and we're excited to visit again soon. read more

We went for their sunflower festival and butterfly release. That all went well. Lunch at their Rusty Nail restaurant was a very different experience. We placed our order at 11:30. After waiting for 20 minutes, I went to their food pickup table to get our meals as soon as they were ready so that we could eat and get to the butterfly release. I saw what looked like five of the seven items we ordered come out shortly. They then sat under a heat lamp for another 20 minutes, when two of us left to get to the butterfly release. I was fairly certain that quite a few orders placed afer ours were served before us, as there were only three groups at tables when we arrived, and many more than that were served while we waited. The rest of our group joined us just before 12:30 with our food orders. After the butterfly event, we went back to our outdoor table and finally had our lunch about 90 minutes after we placed our order. We then discovered that we got a kids size mac and cheese instead of the adult entree, and the other kids mac and cheese included was minus the fruit. We went on a Monday early afternoon week of Halloween and we got 3 huge pumpkins for only $20. It was muddy but fun! When we got our tickets to the haunted house there was no set time and now I regret that. There is just a huge line to get in and it took us 2 hours to finally get to the attraction that lasted less than 10 minutes. It was not worth the wait. I had a friend grow so anxious she dropped out of our Line and wait in the car because of this so she wasted her money on this excursion. They should have set times to go through the attraction. It would be more enjoyable. We tried the Beer Garden side and it was super packed as well and we were pushed along the way side where water was dripping on us because there were no tables to sit at. I bet Thomas Family Farms is more fun when it is less packed but my experience was not a good one. read more

Across of Stocker Farm, and I do see why there isn't a lot of people here! Admissions isnt that bad...however, all the other fun stuff like the corn maze and what not, are a separate price. Here to say we are big fans of the new summer series they put together this year! They built a massive outdoor entertainment area, including pickleball courts and tons of kid and family activities. There are giant yard games, inflatable axe throwing, basketball/softball toss, mini golf and more, with plenty of picnic tables and room to roam. The best part: it's free! Their Summer Series is a good vibe if you just want to hang out. We came with our friends who had a 2 year old so we watched the kid try things, but otherwise not entirely our jam. They had velcro axe throwing, mini golf (5 par), trike racing, a jungle gym and giant lawn games like Tetris and connect four so plenty to do if you wanted kids to play and adults to drink at the Rusty Nail (and carry with them into the kids area to monitor child play). We came at 11 when it opened so no crowds and didn't spend any money, but it was worth the hour spent there to check it out. read more

Who doesn't love a good pumpkin patch and corn maze in the fall?! Inspired by an Instagram post from Jenny Cookies, I recently visited Thomas Family Farms and decided to bring my husband along. We chose to go on a Friday to avoid the weekend crowds, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. While weekends offer a full range of activities, we didn't need all the rides since we don't have kids. Instead, we enjoyed a peaceful Friday afternoon wandering through the corn maze and selecting pumpkins from the patch. The farm is filled with fun activities for kids, and the ones we saw were having an absolute blast with all the games. Plus, it's a great value! We spent $26 on pumpkins and $8 on the corn maze. I've tried at least 8 fall pumpkin patches in the past 5 years, and Thomas has been our favorite and first one to come back to for a second time, and we plan to come back in the years to come. Why? 1. Affordable and diverse pumpkin options! Pumpkins priced technically by size, but in our experiences they look at the wheelbarrow (provided) of pumpkins and give a price. A full wheel barrow is $20-50 depending on the diversity and size of pumpkins! 2. Great corn maze! We've actually gotten lost both years as a group of adults and I love that. Little snack spot halfway through with chips and sodas. Ends by a sunflower area that is a maze of its own and absolutely beautiful. 3. 21+ area! Don't get me wrong I love kids, and there is still kids in the area most times, but I love that there's a technical adult section. 2 pumpkin ale options this year, wine, hot apple cider (hot tip...bring a flask to spice it up for the maze ventures ;) ), and one step above fair food (fries, hot dogs, French dip, etc). Big TV's playing football are there, but not overly loud so it gives the option for both worlds there Love this place!! read more

This firm is so worth it to go to as a date night in the haunted farm or the corn maze or just take your family and it's not the crazy lines. Everything is affordable at this farm like things used to be. The people who work there are awesome and helpful and always watching out for the little ones to make sure they are having a great time. Second time coming first time on the Haunted trail. We did both the haunted trail and the haunted house. The haunted house was great with a fun mental institution theme, but the real show stopper was the haunted trail. It was super innovated idea with a ghost town and different themed areas of the town. Really immersive. I'm excited for next year! read more

I want to give this place more stars they have a bunch of kids running stuff which is great outside of any type of answer or issues that arise there is no order it's a free for all. If you have kids that are on the spectrum please aware when you take them here as they don't have people watching the games to make sure out of order kids are asked to stop. read more

I came to visit the sunflower fields at the end of August and they were beautiful! The field is massive and there are so many varieties of sunflowers that I didn't even know existed. It was fun to walk amongst the rows of flowers and take cute photos, though I would recommend bringing a water bottle and a hat if you're visiting on a sunny day. Admission was a little less than $25 per person after fees. Admission includes one sunflower. The price was a bit steep but definitely helped keep the place spacious, which is much appreciated during these social distancing times. read more

Wow, this has been an awful experience. The traffic management is absolutely horrible. The officers directing traffic didn't allow anyone to turn into the farm, and directed everyone straight. Unfortunately, that means we all ended up driving in a circle. There needs to be better communication and traffic management here. Nearly an hour spent in traffic for nothing. So much fun! This place is incredible! As a group of three we went for the night activities. We did Zombie Paintball, night corn maze and the haunted house and had such a great time! Zombie paintball and corn maze were a blast however, the haunted house really took the cake for me. It was so well done. Props to the chainsaw clown at the end for chasing me all the way to the barn, I got a real fright out of that (give that man a raise)! Staff are all great as well, super helpful and fun to talk to! A group of us attended Snohomish Brewfest at Thomas Farm's. Free parking can be found in the gravel/dirt lot. Tickets were $30+tax each. Ticket included 8 tastings (one voting token) and a souvenir tasting glass. Event was 21+. Food and paraphernalia were available for purchase. Outdoor food was allowed. A covered outdoor beer garden was set-up for those who didn't wish to be inside. Several tables and barrels were set-up inside. Thomas Farms did an excellent job hosting this brewfest in an orderly and organized manner. We all had a great time sampling flavorful beers/ciders while talking/reviewing them among-st ourselves. It was fun to hear which brewery was each of our favorites and how we would cast our voting token. Thank you Thomas Farm for a great day socialization and supporting our local breweries. read more

Took our toddler here this year instead of Stocker Farms across the street. Chose this one because a lot of the kiddie stuff was included instead of extra. Was surprised how different it looked inside from Stocker, no cute photo opportunities just gravel and cement. But our toddler loved the big slide, the cow train, mining for gems, sand slides etc- all included with purchase. We skipped the apple cannons and paintball bc of her age and skipped the corn maze bc it's always very muddy at any corn mazes. I recommend arriving early and beating the afternoon crowd, we got there at 11 and left by 2, the parking lot was getting very full when we left. I have been here on multiple occasions mostly during fall season for their fall events. This year it is for their Sunflower field. The staff always goes above and beyond to make it fun and during this pandemic, SAFE! They decided to have do scheduled timeslots for people to come. This shows that they are encouraging people to enjoy their farm and at the same time be responsible and safe. The kids had such a great time on the field and the adults just as much . You can pick your own pumpkins and they have so much variety (orange, yellow, multicolored, ghost pumpkins, sugar pumpkins, turban pumpkin, pumpkins with warts, pumpkins that look like a giant tomato, etc). Prices are reasonable too! $40 for a wheelbarrow full of pumpkins. Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. My jeans and coat were both covered in pumpkin dirt (so worth it though). I'm glad I wore rain boots as there are some muddy spots. read more

Great event space! I was here for the Snohomish Wine Festival. It was easy to find - right off highway 9 - and there's plenty of parking available. There were a bunch of large tractor-ish vehicles when I first turned in, but everything was clearly marked. In the front, there's a nice, spacious covered seating area. The interior was very open and spacious - it can hold a lot of people but even this was busy the day I was there, it didn't feel crowded. It has a rustic, farm vibe without being corny or uncomfortable- you could run a nice event there easily. I'm not sure if it was just the event I was at, but the food options were nothing special. I will say that they were organized about the food, with beepers to let you know when your order was ready, rather than having a crowd in that area. +1 for that. I'm looking forward to coming back for some zombie fun in the fall! read more

This review is for the Zombie paint ball and Haunted Trail because I have not experienced the farm during the day. We took our 14 &17 year olds here last weekend. We all had a lot of fun. Great activity to do with your teens! The paintball was better then expected because you're shooting a live Zombies, not cardboard cut outs. Went with two little ones and my husband. Pros: kids had a good time. The pumpkin patch was fun and large. Cons: a lot.. Things were of course overpriced but we were expecting that. It was $20 per person, $9 more to put on card. The lines were very long. I stood for food while husband took girls to do the long slide and it was about a 30 min wait each. The food came out quickly but there was only one line for everything including the donuts which was why it took a while, no individual stalls and no apple donuts unfortunately only pumpkin. Biggest issue was we were NOT TOLD ABOUT THE WRISTBANDS and how it would only allow us to do one event only ONCE. How ridiculous, especially to those with kids!! We paid to get into the fun park and after waiting a crazy amount of time we were left feeling ripped off. One time down the large slide and cow train. I've never seen this done elsewhere. We made an initial trip in early October to check out their day time activities. The kids loved all the attractions but especially mining for gems and the apple cannon! Such a fun time and we'll worth the cost. We returned a few weeks later to check out the corn maze and make s'mores around the fire pit we rented with some friends. The staff was super helpful, and we had an excellent time! Pros: daytime activities were plentiful, cost was great for day activities, a little something for everyone, attentive staff, plenty of food and seating for lunch!
