Sometime around the year 2000 I feel like department stores in general sort of started turning downhill and no longer had the pizazz they used to carry in the 90s, Nordstrom however, seemed to move with the times and remain classy and elegant. This is still the best place to park and walk into Oak Park Mall, hands down. Nordstrom is still pristine, clean, and has this really nice scent to it? I don't know if that's nostalgia playing games on me from my HS days but it just feels nice to shop here. On the day I walked in recently I was on a mission to visit H&M to pick up some back to school staples for my 1st grader, but thought I'd check out the kids section here first just in case there was a steal on some mini boden or something. Their kids area is packed with adorable clothes, and while I did see some decent deals on the sale rack everything was a bit pricey for my regular back to school haul so I continued on to H&M.
