March 7th the appraiser stopped by to estimate the price to level my front yard. Said he would email me that night. Nothing came. No big deal. Called on the 8th just to make sure they had the right email address. Was told by the women on the phone I would have it that night. Now March 15th, nothing. After contacting the company several times on the quote for landscaping and receiving no answer, there really isn't much more a person can do. As far as the plowing thing. Your company said they would call back with a quote. I didn't know I had to keep calling back to get an answer. At that point it's obvious your customer service skills are lacking and furthering any business with you would be a headache. So we found someone else who was able to give us what we were looking for immediately. I honestly doubt the sincerity of your reply . Wish I read the reviews before I wasted my time with them. Our neighbor uses them. I was leaving for a vacation and didn't want to come back to a forest in my yard. I called for a quote, was told I'd be called back. Never was. I called a second time, was told "yep, we'll be out there for sure when we do the neighbors yard!" Come home to find the neighbors grass cut, mine not. Thanks for nothing. I will be looking else where for help in the future. As a business owner, this is a hard thing to do. I am not keen on leaving poor feedback, but I believe it to be the proper thing to do in this case, and hopefully they will improve future customer's experiences. I initiated contact with Evergreen Landscape Management on August 4th 2015 with an inquiry for ryegrass and bluegrass mix Hydroseeding, as we had just regraded our back yard and also touched up the sides, totaling 5,131 square feet of dirt needing treatment. Although the first reply was decently enough on August 6th 2015, I was constantly put off until August 27th, when I reached out to the owner. After multiple followups from me, and assurance someone would come out, the reason given for the delay on August 21st was "I'll have someone touch base with you next week to work out a time, as the estimators make their own schedules." As mentioned, I contacted the owner on August 27th, and he was actually quite courteous, and I thought perhaps he had fallen victim to poor work ethic. Afterward, the office manager was very apologetic, and I put the past behind and moved forward with the estimate. The estimator came in at 6,750 square feet, 1,619 square feet more than my very accurate measurement, since I have had it measured by more than 9 contractors, as well as myself several times, had a fence installed, patio installed, clay removed, topsoil added, and grading performed. At .08 cents per square foot, the estimate should have come in at $410.48, but we were quote $678, and assured they are worth it. The explanation given for the difference in measurement is because they account for a 10% overlap. That would still have only been 5,644 square feet to account for the 513 square foot overlap. Against my better judgement, due to just wanting it finished, we signed. Already having difficulty with their scheduling and availability, I was surprised they chose the most wet week we had seen this year, and it was about to get worse, as there was a storm watch that day. The excitement of seeing a freshly hydroseeded yard was quickly dissipated once I saw the clumps, footprints throughout the yard since it was wet, and that they did not overlap at all, and I even had to place seed in a spot they missed. We called about the footprints that wore a path through the hydroseed, and expressed our concern it would not grow. We were assured it would and to "trust the process" as they have many years of experience doing this. That night as predicted, there was a terrible storm, and it wreaked havoc on the hydroseed, partly washing away their already clumpy and thin covering. Again, we called and expressed our concern, and was told that it likely just pushed the seed into the soil and to just give it time. We continued to water precisely according to their given instruction, and on the third week, again called with concern that it was very sparse and we do not feel they did it justice. Please see the photos from the third week which is ample germination time for ryegrass. Bluegrass requires longer, but it is more expensive and unlikely that a greater percentage of bluegrass was used. http://imgur.com/a/BqI5J The last picture in that album is the front yard that I planted with seed from CountryMax. The previous year I took pride, and barely did anything this year to it and it still looked good. I take pride in proper cutting and treatment, and always do research and talk to experts. Still, I was new to hydroseed and so was patient. We were again told that more time was needed and not to worry, but they would send someone out if we "really" were concerned. Please note that the flat sides of our yard is not as bad as the entirety of the back yard, but the sides, to this day (Oct 12 2015) are still quite thin. Someone did come to look at the back, and said that it was "expected" and they "cannot guarantee the results, just the process". I got feedback from other hydroseeders, and was told that it was certainly done wrong, and one very well known company here, Crosman's Seeds (where I ended up getting seed from later), informed me that there are different types of spreaders and require different prep and material. Apparently, if one material is placed in a different type of caster, it causes clumping exactly as we had. To elaborate, the clumps resulted in very thick tufts of unusable balls of grass. Perhaps had all of this seed been spread properly, it would not have been so bad. I cannot confirm that, however. My wife did most of the talking and tried to work something out with them, but they were again reluctant to give anything back, but said they would reapply. I already didn't trust their process or product, so I just asked for seed so I could do it myself. We were given a half used bag of Fescue blend from Preferred Seed. It's an alright grass, which comes from Buffalo and is also sold at Gro-Moore Farms, but they provided "FESCUE". Anyway, I am out of allowed characters. What a shame. Be warned. read more

Evergreen Landscape Management has taken care of our lawn for a number of years and I can honestly say we have been very pleased. They mow, trim, and treat our 1/2 acre. They always come on a timely manner and as soon as the grass needs cutting, meaning twice a week at the beginning when you can almost see it growing in front of your eyes. We have had Evergreen cut down trees, grind the stump and reseed and you cannot even tell the tree ever stood in that spot. Amazing! Also, this past Fall, we contracted them to put in a paver terrace, with a retaining wall, in the back yard. They first drew up the design, gave us books to go through and then went to the appropriate company to choose our paver stones. The work was done in a timely fashion and we have something we will enjoy for years to come. I highly recommend Evergreen. read more

Sadly we tried for several years and are leaving after many second chances and a terrible experience. I liked the owners, and was drawn to the idea of supporting a local company. I am not a fanatic about my lawn and I do not expect to have the best lawn in the neighborhood. What I do expect is agreed upon service to be performed, for my lawn to be improving and To be told if my lawn is Diseased and dying. After almost losing our front lawn to an issue that "is not part of the covered service" we decided to pay more for their new "GOLD service". Big mistake...we effectively paid more for the same service, same excuses, and same lack of communication. Then I received an incorrect bill when I canceled and was told to wait for a revised bill. After waiting for several weeks I sent in the initial invoice with a payment. I received a nasty letter from the office manager insulting me and my math, calling me a liar and alluding to late charges. Of course their failure to send me the revised invoice was never apologized for or discussed. I am not used to being treated this way by a service company nor do I want to invest this much of my time over lawn care. Terrible, Terrible - I would never recommend. read more
