If I could give Property Care by Josh a BIG FAT ZERO I would. I live in a Townhome Community and Josh Property Care was awarded this year's Landscaping contract. OMG they are beyond terrible! Not an ounce of quality, the employees are quick and dirty with a get the hell out of dodge mentality. All of the lawns are covered in mounds of clippings, they go so fast on the riding mowers that half the grass is missed and left uncut. They do not have push mowers so the backyards are "mowed" with a weedwhacker! They blow grass clippings into gardens that homeowners have mulched and landscaped themselves, they weed whack and shoot the clippings onto homeowners vehicles parked in driveways, garden beds are left like trash, no mulch, no shrub trimming. Totally Unbelievable for a company that has been around 40+ years. A 12 year old neighborhood kid could do a better job for $10 bucks a yard vs. the $80,000 contract that Josh was awarded.. Sorry guys, but you SUCK!! read more

I called them because we want to get an old deck removed and have it replaced with a little bigger deck with trex decking and a roof. They quoted me about $150 a square foot just for installing the deck. I googled the average price to have trex decking installed and it said 40 - 80 a square foot. Highway robbery. Also they wanted an $800 design fee before that would even come over and look. I guess they really do not need my business. For what she quoted me, I could have built a small home with windows and electric. I cannot speak for their work but they are definitely screwing people. read more

Our experience with Josh Landscape was incredible. Even though it was pricey, the design and the quality of work along with their guarantee to stand behind the project was well worth the cost. We had a wonderful experience with Josh Landscaping redesigning an ugly section of our yard into a beautiful and practical fenced terrace for our dogs. They turned the worst looking part of our yard into the best looking part and it really makes our whole house seem nicer. The project took a while to get underway, but once work began they made good progress and really came through in getting us the look we wanted. Several different work crews came through to lay a retaining wall, create a walkway, build fencing, work on planting, etc., and everyone who works for Josh was efficient and professional. The project was pricey but the work was excellent and they stuck to their initial quote, which I appreciated. They also stand by the quality of their work and the work they sub-contract: we had a concrete walkway poured by a subcontractor who didn't do the best job and Josh Landscaping had it redone with no additional cost to us. You get what you pay for and I highly recommend them to anyone who values good design and wants quality work that gets done right. When I decided to renovate my backyard I had 3 well known landscape companies come to my house. I have some experience in landscaping and gardening so I had a good idea of what I wanted, I was looking for a company that could take my vision and turn it into something special. My decision to use Josh was based on what I saw on the website, speaking with some of their clients and checking out some of the completed projects. Ann H, one of the Senior Design Consultants from Josh took my "vision" and turned it into my dream. And then there are the employees who came to the house to do the hard scape, I have 1 word to describe them, tireless, some of the hardest working people I've ever seen. They worked from dawn till dusk, the worksite was always left neat. The bottom line is, they delivered on what they promised, showed up when they said they would, they were in touch and kept me informed. My mom hired josh landscaping for our house this past spring-fall and they were supposed to come every two weeks or so and do yard work. Out of the times that they actually decided to show up they stayed for about an hour and just plucked weeds. You would think that if that was all they were going to do here they would at least be sure to get ALL the weeds but they did not, I could have done a better job. I know my mom contacted the owner at least once about their lack of work and although she did get a response and said she personally would make a trip out to our house, whether that happens or not - nothing changed. We hoped they would make up for the lack of effort with a great fall cleanup but they did nothing. I feel bad that my mom paid them all this money when even my brother and I could have done a much better job. read more

I got a quote for snow plowing my driveway from Josh Landscape after I had some other work done. I probably paid too much for an average job but was even more surprised at how much more they were to do the job. I really try to keep things locally but just cannot due to the cost difference. read more

We reached out to Josh Landscaping in December of 2020 to plan our extensive backyard project. Mike came to our house to take notes as to what we wanted, and went over our budget. He gave us an itemized list of each portion of the project with a price range for each- coming within our budget. We comfortably moved forward and gave him $1200 to begin the sketch. Once this was completed we reviewed the sketch and chose our materials in a catalog. He told us to give a deposit in order to get on the Schedule for early spring so we gave him a $6000 deposit. During our third meeting he came to us with a full typed out quote that was TRIPLE the high side of the range he gave us in our original quote- over $120,000 for all of the work. He, like everyone else- blamed the pandemic for the price jump. Apparently he had not taken into consideration pandemic prices 2 months prior while giving us initial quotes. We decided to cut down our project significantly and still go forward with a covered patio which was within the price range we were comfortable with, approximately $33,000. He was supportive of that decision and said he would need to collect 1/3 of the deposit for that single project. so we at that point gave him the remaining $4600. We asked for an approximate start time and he said we were looking at May. May came and went, with a phone call to Mike we were pushed to Mid June. We repeated the process in June and we were pushed to Mid July. Again, called in July and we were pushed to Mid August. It is now August 25th, summer is just about over and we have reached out to be put first of the schedule for next spring because at this rate, it wont be completed until well into fall. Just in time for it to be pointless for our use. I have barely scratched the surface of the problems with this company. After our contract was signed they tried raising the price "due to pandemic costs". I had to have a conversation with Mike about how nowhere in their contract does it say the price can change after contract signatures. He then told me he wouldn't raise the price. So basically, they were just trying to see what they could get away with They have taken something exciting and made it a horrendous headache. The trust is lost, the excitement is gone. The only thing that would excite me at this point is getting our $10,000 deposit back and going elsewhere. I urge anyone reading this to understand their sales approach. It is to suck you in with a price that fits your budget, and push it as far as they can with excuses, then hold your deposit hostage until they feel like starting your project. Zero communication unless initiated by the customer. I will make sure that anyone who will listen, hears this story. There are plenty of amazing landscape, lawncare, hardscape, and pool companies. Its time for Josh Landscape to humble up or start acting like the elite company they claim to be. read more

We had some glitches and they have been very willing to come out and make them right. We have a .92 acre yard. They were great to work with and amenable to changes.
