You would expect to find articles on spirtuality, yoga, organic food and sometimes art and politics. And best of all, most of its articles deal with local issues. This month there is an article on Washington's Green Vineyard Tour and Matt's in the Market, which I am now going to check out. Among some of the things you find in the classifieds: free yoga classes every saturday at 2:30 pm, a monthly movie series that presents problems and offers solutions, a free Transcendental Mediation session (I myself am not a follower of TM but am interested in checking it out), and much more. I volunteered for them at a booth at the Fremont Festival. I got to describe to people the merits an duse of an electric car. It was really fun and I learned a lot. I also got a cute green shirt, a little earth-friendly bag and a gift certificate from cafe Flora. i respect and appreciate that greatly. Like any media,, at times, they may feature a business or organization which has soem customer difficulties.. like all, they don't respond to calls to editor. I hope they read or listen to the comments. It always feel bad when a group whom I admire allows a business with poor customer service free coverage. Many deserve coverage. I am not the editor and as I ponder this dilemna.. I may not wish to be.

Seattle Met is one of the two primary magazines that covers the Seattle area. Seattle Magazine is…read morethe other. Choosing between the two is difficult as they cover the same subjects. Similar to the battle between the alternative weeklies, The Stranger and Seattle Weekly, it comes down to personal preference. Like Seattle Magazine, ads take up a huge chunk of each edition. There are a number of feature stories each month though that there are worth a read like the one in the current issue on Pike Place Market. Though I find that it would be better if they stuck with local features rather than commenting on current topics. A small half page in the current issue discusses reasons why the Mariners should trade Felix Hernandez which sounds a bit heinous. Best to leave this commentary to the Times and ESPN to cover. Seattle Met should just stick with what they are good at which is covering food, shopping, attractions with local human interest stories thrown into the mix. Seattle Met is even with Seattle Magazine when it comes to the print edition. Though I have to say that I do prefer the Met's website as it includes a number of blogs that are worth a read.

In June 2014, I went to a podiatrist at "Issaquah Foot and Ankle Specialist" for a small bump that was caused by rubbing with a stiff shoe. The podiatrist misdiagnosed it as bunion, did a bunion surgery that was not even required, and botched it. The surgery left my left leg permanently impaired. I went to this podiatrist because of his glowing reviews on Facebook, Google, Yelp and other doctor review sites. I let my guard down in the examination room and trusted him, and didn't seek a second opinion -- a decision I'll regret for the rest of my life. After the botched surgery, I started looking at this podiatrist's reviews closely and realized that most of his glowing reviews were fake! Over the years, I saw tons of this podiatrist's earlier fake reviews were removed, and new fake reviews were added. The best way to try their ciders is getting their flight. You ever have a drink and it sounds good, but you can't actually taste the ingredients? Channel Marker is the complete opposite. The cider's name is exactly what it tasted like. I love their habanero lime. It has a nice spicy kick. Their lavender Bergamot is next, it has a refreshing lavender flavor with a slight lemon touch. They all felt light. The pear wasn't my favorite since it tasted more like champagne. Their service was really good too! We felt very welcomed and we had the opportunity to talk with one of the owners and their journey in getting the taproom.
