I met up with a group of friends for a mid-week drink at this Ballard favorite. My drink of choice was the Wassail, a holiday spiced cider. A more traditional cider in comparison to some of their wacky flavors. Their outside patio is large, with a variety of both covered and uncovered seats available. While they don't serve food onsite, you can view their website for a calendar of upcoming food trucks. We were also obsessed with their analog photo-booth and ended up having a very expensive photo shoot post-drinks.

It was really refreshing and good! It was nice and light bodied and had the presence of apple and of course ginger which I always enjoy. They allow you to stroll through their orchard rows at your leisure. There isn't much there for entertainment, but it's an open area that serves cider, you can bring your own snacks and games, music etc. My kids really enjoyed chasing the bullfrogs by the pond. I had sort of assumed that the kids would get bored quickly and we would leave right away. But they were so entertained playing in nature that I couldn't get them to leave for hours, which made for a relaxing afternoon for me and my wife as we sipped cider and watched them play. The cider itself is some of the best I've ever had. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur and I would rank dragon head as my top cider in the state.
