I ordered a chocolate one, a strawberry one, a latte one. I also ordered maple candy, which wasn't bad. I'm not a big fan of this restaurant. If I want coffee before my next Ellicottville Half Marathon, I'll hit up Katy's Cafe instead.

This past year my urge to hike has kicked into overdrive and lately I've been all about outdoor activities - so going in here not only cured some boredom, but got me excited for the warmer months and getting back out on the trails. The shop shares a building with another business. Once you go up the steps and into the building, the shop is straight back (and pretty hard to miss with the signs!) This shop is pretty large, with everything and anything to fill your outdoor needs. Tons of apparel with popular outdoor brands like Carhartt, hiking boots, and other useful gear for camping and hiking. You can get snow shoes and chains here for your winter hikes, and there's even some gear for your dog! I only came in here for the socks but I also left with these cool fake "skipping stone" dog toys, and a double sided spoon/fork. Total score! Looking forward to returning in the summer to fulfill more of my hiking needs. P.S. I love my socks. They're stylish and keep my feet warm!

Very pleasant experience here…read more We called a few days in advance to rent a fishing boat for 4 hours. We thought the price was quite reasonable. When we arrived, we were shown a safety video on boating. The worker at the time then met us at our boat and gave us more tips. We had no trouble on the water, and it was a great day. Before you do ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING AT ALL, have them show you the propeller regardless if there is a swim deck on the boat or not BEFORE you SIGN ANYTHING AT ALL OR TAKE IT OUT IN THE WATER. Trust me, it will save you in the end. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE READ EVERYTHING ON THE PAPER AND HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING! We ended up paying for a new propeller that "was broken" and which ended up not being the cause of us stranded in the water. According to one of the employees who opened up the motor and I quote "You are fine, it's nothing. It's just the pin." He then yelled across the parking lot to the owner "it's not the drive, it's the pin in the transmission. We just need a new pin." The owner's response "I still need to put a new prop on it." Again, we were told by the employee we were not at fault. The owner then removed the 3 blade prop, removed the plastic sheath, said that part was fine. He did not charge us for a new plastic sheath and then put a 4 blade prop on the motor, which we were charged for. Apparently after we left, they replaced the pin as we saw the same boat in the water a few hours later. So for the frustration and dishonesty from the owner, if you still rent from them, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU QUESTION EVERYTHING AND TAKE A PICTURE TO COVER YOUR BUTT. Do not trust and take your business else where.

Let me…read moresay that 2 years ago I brought my boat here, they buffed it out when that service was not requested. It needed the buff out badly so we came to an agreement that was amicable. Next year, something else not requested was done, this time it was just removed from the bill. That summer one of their subcontractors lost my anchor, they loaned me one while I got it replaced. Last fall, the boat was delivered to the storage area, but some of the things requested were not completed. Uncertain it was fully winterized and ready for a upstate NY deep freeze winter, they sent a tech to the storage site to verify and complete the work. So what can I say, well the work is sometimes not what was asked for but they always made it right. For that I give 4 stars in a market where folks that stand behind their work and strive to be fair is not always easy to find.

Very well maintained park. Police around also. Great place for camping and beautiful scenery.

Lakeside Park

We have visited this cute little park on the water on multiple occasions in both summer and winter…read more In summer they are in a prime spot on the lake for great views, a nice breeze and an awesome playground. It has different sections for older and younger kids, and a sand box! The bathrooms are close by, clean, and have showers for rinsing off sand. There is even a pavillion to rent if you are a local I hear it is a great deal for parties. There is a really nice path to walk around, and you can spot the Chautauqua Belle floating by if you are lucky! In the winter we attended the town's winter festival. Unfortunately the year we went it wasn't cold enough for the traditional ice castle made out of ice from the lake, but there was still plenty to do, from food, to craft shows, to the polar plunge, to a cool little railroad museum. It is definitely a park worth checking out in any season. The town is really cute with some nice restaurants and shops to check out. Definitely a great little day trip, no matter the season drive on down to visit this cute park!
