There's no sales pitch, no gimmicks, and no pressure. He tells you what works, what doesn't, and why. That kind of integrity is rare these days, and it keeps people coming back. The inventory isn't massive, but that's actually part of the strength of the store. If you fish for walleye or troll for salmon, you'll find some very good, unique gear that you won't see everywhere else. Everything on the shelves has a purpose. Prices are reasonable, and the service is truly exceptional. When you ask for advice, you're not getting guesses--you're getting experience. Where Nick's Sporting Goods truly stands apart is archery. If you're an archer or into archery hunting, it's hard to imagine a better shop. Roy is an expert and a genuine archery enthusiast, and it shows in the quality of guidance and setup he provides. A friend recommended Front Row Sports as a place to talk to about solutions to this painful issue. Now, almost a year later I finally made it over to Union Road. I took my old skates (like 40+ years old) and really expected that I'd have to buy new ones. The two young guys at the tech counter (born well after my skates first were out on the ice) were incredibly understanding and it turned out that the issue was most likely just having really stiff laces and not skipping one lace hole over the top of my foot. The guys were actually really complimentary of my old skates (which were high end back in the day) and said they'd never recommend I get a new pair if they could help it. I got a sharpening too and my total bill was under $20.00. The whole experience was great, and I am not, and do not look like, some cool hockey kid. I'd worried that they'd ignore me when they realized I wasn't in the market for lots of gear, but I really felt like a valued customer. If I every need anything hockey related I'll definitely go back to Front Row on Union Road.

I had previously tried getting fitted at several other shops in my home state without success, so I was hopeful, but skeptical going into this visit. My experience here could not have been better. Despite the store being extremely busy, Rob took an incredible amount of time with me and fit me into eight different pairs of skates. And when I say "fit," I mean thoroughly, every single pair was baked, and I walked in each one while trying different lacing techniques to ensure the best possible fit. This process took several hours, and he had me try every major brand and price point out to find the perfect combination. Rob then stayed 45 minutes past closing time to finish the fitting and even spent additional time after I left punching out a few hot spots on the boots. When I returned to pick up my skates the next day he again took the time to ask detailed questions about my skating style and to explain skate profiling and what would work best for me. The level of knowledge, patience, and dedication shown to me was honestly incredible. If I could give 10 stars, I would. If you need skates or any hockey equipment, do yourself a favor and come here, you will not be disappointed.

I've been itching to check out this store, and I'm really not sure why I never ventured in here sooner. Maybe it just wasn't the right time. This past year my urge to hike has kicked into overdrive and lately I've been all about outdoor activities - so going in here not only cured some boredom, but got me excited for the warmer months and getting back out on the trails. The shop shares a building with another business. Once you go up the steps and into the building, the shop is straight back (and pretty hard to miss with the signs!) This shop is pretty large, with everything and anything to fill your outdoor needs. Tons of apparel with popular outdoor brands like Carhartt, hiking boots, and other useful gear for camping and hiking. You can get snow shoes and chains here for your winter hikes, and there's even some gear for your dog! I only came in here for the socks but I also left with these cool fake "skipping stone" dog toys, and a double sided spoon/fork. Total score! Looking forward to returning in the summer to fulfill more of my hiking needs. P.S. I love my socks. They're stylish and keep my feet warm!

I must have written that review way before I gave myself enough time to decide if I liked the socks or not, but here I am 4 years later and I now EXCLUSIVELY WEAR DARN TOUGH SOCKS. Thank you, Aurora Outfitters, for turning me onto these wonderful socks. Also thank you, past tense me for clairvoyantly deciding to purchase said socks and change my life forever. I was really happy with the selection of gently used rackets. Everyone who helped me here was very helpful about fitting me with the right racket. You are allowed to demo rackets for $1.50 per day per racket, all of which is refunded back to you if you end up buying one. I tried out two rackets and brought them back the next day and bought one of them that seemed to work out well for me. They were able to remove the overgrip wrapping and re-wrap with fabric wrap which made the racket a tad smaller and nicer to grip. I was really satisfied with all the time they took to help me w/ my buying process. They had a wide array of easily concealed weapons and deterrent devices. Customer service was great, welcoming us and suggesting different options. The gentleman described the advantages of each product and offered to provide training. The prices seemed fair, and we were glad to find some personal protection that suits us. Just as a sidenote, there is also a barbershop within the business. We witnessed several young men getting the latest taper fade haircuts.
