The moment you walk in, you're hit with the overwhelming smell of urine. When she rang the bell for assistance, she waited--and waited. Yes, we understand aides have other residents to tend to, but waiting 45 minutes is completely unacceptable. Especially when that delay led to my mother falling--something that never should have happened. then to cover it and tell us that she didn't fall, because her bottom did not hit the floor stating she slipped out of her wheelchair per the nurses on duty, no report ever was written. Let's talk about the lack of basic care: they would take her to the restroom and not put her oxygen back on. We found it multiple times just lying on the floor--completely negligent and dangerous. But the final straw? She was left in bed all day long, struggling to breathe with pneumonia water in her lungs and a horrible UTI .I had to call and insist she be sent to the emergency room. Did they send her? They waited until my brother arrived 40 minutes later and asked him again if she should go to the hospital, as of today, my mother lays in the hospital fighting for her life. Our family is heartbroken and outraged. In our opinion, this facility should be shut down. We will be making a complaint and calling onbunsmen on them . Working in the healthcare system myself you bring your loved ones to be cared for not to be left in their bed struggling to breathe because of the lack of care our loved one received. Stay away from this facility! I would definitely rate this place a negative one.

The Physical and Occupational Therapy Departments were amazing and some of the best I have ever been to. They had lots of things to do, like every Wednesday they had an ice cream social, with entertainment, bingo, bright minds, Bible study and a church service every other Sunday, just to name a few. If I ever have to go back to a nursing and Rehab place, this is the one I would choose!

My mom decided to move to La Posada on June 1, 2023. This is an amazing place to live! Any…read morecommunity is only as good as its staff, services and amenities. The staff at LaPosada are exceptional! Kind, Welcoming, Helpful and knowledgeable. The services, activities, meals and quality of living is tremendous. My mother absolutely loves her apartment and she loves living there! She has made friends quickly and always has a friend (or new friend) to have dinner with each night. And we have joined her for dinner several times and the food is upscale and delicious! We especially like the cocktail hour each night in their bar area. I love that there are two restaurants to choose from and there are new specials every night. There are also plenty of fun, interesting shows, activities and exercise classes for her to participate in. She enjoys regular transportation to Publix, the mall, or a doctors appointment. In addition, the grounds and community center are so beautiful and peaceful. A special shout out to many of the wonderful staff members: First our initial contact Lonnie Ehmann who shared her time and talent and layed the foundation for our initial visits. Fabulous Kim Mancini, Yolanda, and Vivianna all made my mom's transition seamless and comfortable. Stephanie, Jennifer and all the wait staff at the Waterfront dining are so gracious and outstanding! The list goes on and on - I really can't say enough about all the staff at La Posada!! There is incredible comfort and peace-of-mind knowing that she is well cared for and that there are systems in place to check on her well being. Thank you for all that you do in making my moms' living conditions exceptional!

Anything that might need a repair is only a phone call away and maintenance is always pleasant and knowledgeable. The entertainment is wonderful and the food is superior. The views are so lovely. There are many fitness programs and an on-site Physical Therapy facility as well. Seriously I could not be in a more caring or better place.

I walked out after 10 days of physical therapy & occupational therapy without any assistance. The therapist were absolutely the best I've ever seen! they were knowledgeable, caring, and actually made my therapy a great & fun experience! I assume it's a protection of privacy issue, but it's a shame because the place is impressive. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The food is very good. They offer quite a few options and the portions are plentiful. Literally, every single person my mother and I encountered were wonderful. The nurses, doctors, therapists, transporters........Every one of them was professional, patient and cheerful. Impressive hiring standards!! The "gym", where they do all the physical and occupational therapy is huge. They have so many people in there at one time yet it is very organized. They had tables with groups doing critical thinking activities. Groups doing physical exercises and also lots of one on one physical therapy. Again, I was impressed with the level of patience and kindness these therapists showed their patients. The doctors and nurses were so patient explaining the diagnosis, prognosis and plan to rehabilitate. I've heard horror stories about rehab centers and I personally have dreaded ever having to go. After seeing how my mother, and all the other patients, were treated I would recommend this place to everyone. Bottom Line: Encompass does a great job of rehabilitation in a pleasant environment.
