My mom decided to move to La Posada on June 1, 2023. This is an amazing place to live! Any community is only as good as its staff, services and amenities. The staff at LaPosada are exceptional! Kind, Welcoming, Helpful and knowledgeable. The services, activities, meals and quality of living is tremendous. My mother absolutely loves her apartment and she loves living there! She has made friends quickly and always has a friend (or new friend) to have dinner with each night. And we have joined her for dinner several times and the food is upscale and delicious! We especially like the cocktail hour each night in their bar area. I love that there are two restaurants to choose from and there are new specials every night. There are also plenty of fun, interesting shows, activities and exercise classes for her to participate in. She enjoys regular transportation to Publix, the mall, or a doctors appointment. In addition, the grounds and community center are so beautiful and peaceful. A special shout out to many of the wonderful staff members: First our initial contact Lonnie Ehmann who shared her time and talent and layed the foundation for our initial visits. Fabulous Kim Mancini, Yolanda, and Vivianna all made my mom's transition seamless and comfortable. Stephanie, Jennifer and all the wait staff at the Waterfront dining are so gracious and outstanding! The list goes on and on - I really can't say enough about all the staff at La Posada!! There is incredible comfort and peace-of-mind knowing that she is well cared for and that there are systems in place to check on her well being. I don't see a lot because I only visit one person the nurses that gave the medication are very cooperative and Listen to the patient's need other nurses did very good on what they are call to do so far your Quality Care is excellent. La Posada has been my home for over three years. I have a beautiful apartment with a screened porch and covered parking. Anything that might need a repair is only a phone call away and maintenance is always pleasant and knowledgeable. The entertainment is wonderful and the food is superior. The views are so lovely. There are many fitness programs and an on-site Physical Therapy facility as well. Seriously I could not be in a more caring or better place. read more

My wife and I moved into an bedroom apartment in the Independent Living section of La Posada 8 months ago and are very pleased with our decision. Before choosing La Posada we considered over 6 other facilities in the area. The staff here are all amazingly friendly, helpful and accommodating and there are a number of activities to choose from almost everyday. The meals are top notch and we have met lots of new friends at dinners and while participating in various classes and other activities. read more

Pretty on the outside but no heart. It is all about the money. Watch your stuff things go missing. Good luck reaching nurses, residents or staff. Many without voicemail. Frequent times no one at reception desk at alf. Keep looking your loved will be happier if you do. read more

La Posada is a fantastic place to live The residents are warm and friendly. The food service is fabulous. The activities are abundant and the apartments are spacious and well maintained. They are the only 5 star rated rehab and skilled nursing facility in the area. The Community Management Team really cares about the residents and their families happiness and comfort. read more

In the past week, I visited a friend in memory care three times. Her room is dark and dreary. The gentleman across the hall has been in bed with the guardrails up during each visit. On one occasion, I observed him trying to climb over the rails. Evidently, there is no alarm since no one came to assist him. The room adjacent to my friend has a stop sign noting that the door is to remain closed and there is pounding that can be heard in my friend's room night and day. The only organized active observed was 2 residents watching a podcast on a laptop. During the day, the only person visible is the man across the hall. Otherwise, everyone appears to be confined to their room. After dinner, only one resident remained in the open area and the aides were on their phones or laptops. I have visited memory care units in Ohio and Florida and never seen anything like this. read more

About a year and a half ago, my father suffered from a heinous stroke. I called an ambulance and they took him to Jupiter Hospital. He stayed there for approximately one month. They then sent him to La Posada for rehabilitation. My father was held at this facility for over a month, they would not even let me speak with a doctor. Ultimately I had to call for in-home care. The staff seems to only care about the self-sufficient, not the individuals who need assistance. So far as I can tell via a conversation with my father who is in 'bad shape,' buzzed for a nurse 3 three times while I was on the phone with him for 30 minutes. Upon his arrival home, he weighed 140lbs, prior to his admittance, he weighed upward of 210lbs. Not to mention, they did not even bring him home, I had to arrange for transportation as well as bringing him up to the 3rd floor where he resides. That was only a cost to me of $777.00 dollars. This place is not where you want your loved ones to be 'rehabilitated' as they do not care about the individuals physical and cognitive needs! I do wish I could take action against them, however they have refused on multiple occasions not to release their records on my father. I even submitted my power of attorney and suing them is not within my means. I wish no harm on anyone, but that facility needs to be shut down !! read more

My grandparents moved in to La Posada about 7 years ago. My grandma suffered from a slow progressing Alzheimer's and dementia. The staff at La Posada is second to none. It wasn't the monthly calendar of events (which they have posted in the elevators) that made my grandparents happy. It was the fact that the staff knew them by name, knew their story, and talked to them like they were old friends. Witnessing it was amazing. Both my grandparents have passed away now, but I feel better knowing they spent their days (when we weren't there) with people who were patient and kind - because that's all they've ever been to me. Pre-Purchase/Sale: My experience with Lynn during the search/sales process (May-August 2019) was superb. Lynn provided me with everything I needed to make the decision to move to La Posada. She was open, thoughtful, creative in her approach to my needs/wants and completely supportive when I finally made my purchase decision. Lynn, along with Michelle, helped make my move into my newly renovated apartment efficient and smooth. Both of these women were communicative during the entire process and kept me well informed...making me feel cared about and cared for. Initial Community Integration: Being welcomed by La Posada's Welcoming Committee (made up of residents) was a delightful experience. However, Lynn, Michelle, Yolanda, Vivianna, Jackie (Front Desk/Clubhouse) and so many other associates couldn't have been more helpful as I began to get the "lay of the land" here. To my many questions I always received accurate, thoughtful answers. 2020: This year's pandemic has brought forth/highlighted for all of us to see the most amazing team of administrators and associates. To Brad (Executive Director), Paulina (Asst. Ex. Dir.), Rick (Wellness), Jennifer (Asst./Wellness), Ryan (Activities) and all of the other associates whose names I am not listing here goes my sincere thanks and gratefulness. They are doing an outstanding job keeping us safe, healthy, fed, entertained, mentally stimulated, etc. Listening to the news can be a very frightening experience these days but the administrators and associates here have gone above and beyond in their efforts to keep things friendly, warm, upbeat, funny, varied and informative. The Food Services staff/Drivers/Office Personnel have been remarkable in how they readily adapted to a "delivery" mode for our meals/groceries/supplies. The Security staff has been helpful in wiping down and delivering the many packages we have resorted to ordering online and they do it with a smile. I know everyone here is overworked and exhausted from all of the extra effort and hours they have had to put in to make our lives the best they can be under the circumstances but I also know the majority of us couldn't be happier or more pleased with what they've done for us.
