They came by twice to take measurements and discuss my project. Never heard from them again.

In March of 2016 we attended the home and garden show at the convention center. We met Justin Warner of Evergreen Services. We were looking for someone to do a patio and a brick wall seating. Out of everyone we talked with at the show, Justin returned our inquiry promptly and set up a meeting to talk about what we wanted. When Justin came out, we were impressed with his excitement about our project and what he had to tell us about his company and his customer service. We like to support new and growing local businesses. He promised a timely job (we had told him about our nightmare the year before in getting our deck done, took the entire summer even though they said was a 6 week project) and that if there were any problems after the job was completed, he would be right there and correct anything we were unhappy with. He put the plans together for the project and again we were really impressed with his knowledge and expertise. The project started a little later than we were told but we thought things happen. The project took about twice as long as what he stated it would. In fairness there were a couple rainy days that delayed the project those days but there were days when we left for work and then came home, nothing was done. When I called to see when they were going to be out, they were working on another project. They would not show up at all or only show up for partial days. One should not have to call and see when they planned on returning to work. We felt once we signed the contract he had our commitment and that's when the communication dropped off. I want to emphasize Justin's companies craftsmanship is excellent. He did an excellent job even though it took twice as long. He has a real problem in either estimating the time to complete a project or he over extends himself. Either of which is not good customer service. My real complaint comes from the fact once he got the final payment from us, that was it. We had and still have a problem with one of the lights he installed in our project. I contacted Justin last October 2016 and told him the light was not working. He said he would come out and fix it. When he never came out, I called again. He would not return phone calls. When we got to November 1st, I thought I would just wait until March and contact him again if he does not come out and fix the problem. I started calling, texting, and even stopped by his booth at the 2017 home and garden show. Justin stated he would come out and get it fixed. He did stop by in June and stated it would take a few hours to fix and he would get it taken care of for us. I have called and texted Justin after that and he has not returned our calls. I called Justin on July 25th and told him we expect a phone call back by the 28th to set up a scheduled time to fix the lighting problem or we would do what we needed to do. Unfortunately we never heard from Justin so we are posting our complaint with him and his company on customer feedback sites and the Better Business Bureau. It's such a shame that a person has such a good talent but he just doesn't deliver on timelines and customer service following the sale. There are other complaints out there about the same thing with Justin and/or his company. We had a second phase planned we wanted him to do for us but with his refusal to correct the problem from our original project, we will seek out someone else. I hope Justin with Evergreen Services figures out that customer service following a sale is just as important as the sale itself. It appears he has a problem of overpromising, not delivering on timelines or fixing problems after he has been paid. He could have taken a few hours to correct the problem in October of last year and he would have had a satisfied customer. I am thankful his craftsmanship was good on the rest of the project because if not, he would have not fixed that either and we would have had a mess on our hands. If you don't care how long it takes to complete your project or don't want any follow up it something goes wrong after your final payment to Justin and Evergreen Services, go with his company. If this is something that you would not be happy with, I would chose someone else. Ryan H read more

Lets start with the positives, they did great work when they were here and I am happy with the way the project looked at the end. However, they were extremely unprofessional when it came to communication. We had a 4 to 5 day project and they started late due to rain. The first day out we got a full day of work but then the next a half of a morning and then it would go a few days before we saw them. Twice I had to call and ask when they planned to come back out and was told they had a half day left and would be out later. Finally we told them we needed them to finish to a certain point because the garbage and project materials were killing other parts of our lawn. I never got an email back or a call back but they showed up the next day and finished what we asked. It took 3 weeks to complete to this point. However we asked them to do one more thing that they said they would but it never happened. They were also suppose to replace some timbers at the end of the project "once the ground settled" but instead of coming back we got a bill in the mail. I would call and make a bigger stink but their employee was a jerk every time I asked about the time it was taking. Go with someone else and save the headache, but then again I think that seems to be how all Iowa contractors behave. read more
