There was a moment the traditional peaceful music you expect at spas ended up turning off and instead of feeling the need to impulsively step away to go fix it, she was focused on my shoulders and it was clear she was very attentive to my care. As someone who was having a significant pain flare from a chronic pain disorder, as well as being bed bound from surgery and just returning back to work causing my entire body to be in severe pain, I am shocked at how I never had to grit my teeth and how calm my body felt after.
