Their foot massages are fantastic! I used to go to a similar place in the East Bay, but I have been going to True Care ever since a friend introduced me. At the beginning of the massage they soak your feet in warm water and cover your face and body with a towel. It is called a foot massage but they massage your entire body including your scalp. I have been here three times now and their quality and customer service is great. They take care of you and the owner is friendly. He usually works at the front counter. On my recent visit, I called to make a same day appointment for my mom and I. The owner answered the phone and was able to accommodate us at the time we requested. The prices have increased $5 due to covid, but it is still affordable. Foot massages are $35 for an hour. All of the massages are with clothes on. I hate to do this but need to change my review of this place. After Covid the ownership changed and this place has not been the same since. I've tried it a few times and the quality of massage has gone drastically downhill while the prices have gone up. The reason for my one star review is because the last time I went in there with my mom I had the absolute worst massage I've ever had. We both did the 60 minute foot massage and about half way through I was wishing it would hurry up and end. That's never happened to me with any other massage!!! Even mediocre massages are usually worth it to me but this one was really that bad. I was so happy when the hour was up. I like visiting this spot from time to time. I've found that the air freshener/plug in that they use is very powerful and triggers migraines and sinus headaches for me. Their foot reflexology is good. The full massage isn't really what I enjoy, but it was okay for what I needed on short notice. There's body massage in the initial hallway and then a foot massage section in the back. 1 hour foot massage included head, neck, arms, legs and back, as well as feet. Super relaxing (I feel asleep at one point) with enough pressure but not too much. Better than many of the places I go to regularly in SF Chinatown. Top notch and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Chairs are spaced out and ladies stripped down all the coverings off the chair I was using once I was done and put them in the wash. read more

We have been going here since they opened any years ago. Never had a problem until my recent visit. One guy working the front desk, no English. He ended up also doing my massage, every time the front door chimed he left. Less than the 60 minutes I requested, and not very thorough. I had a gift certificate he refused to take. Kept using his phone to translate, first telling me the card had "expired". There was no expiration date on the certificate. He then pulled up a translation saying the business had been sold so credit was no longer good. I tried to explain that businesses usually inherit gift cards as part of the sale. This place used to be great years ago... recently I've been going back and it's just not the same anymore. The last couple times have I've had bad experiences with bad massages. And today was the worst of all. The masseuse kept digging her sharp elbows in my back which was very uncomfortable. And I specifically told her that I wanted a 30 min body massage and she spent the entire time massaging (digging her elbows) my back. Before I knew it she was finished and said there was no time for legs within the 30 minute period. C'mon really that is BS. 10 mins on back, 10 mins on legs, and 10 mins on arms and hands. It's quite simple really, it's not rocket science. On the upside, they did give me a free bottle of water, but I walked out with jacked up back. I won't be going back anytime soon. Totally recommend calling and making an appointment, because the walk-ins don't really seem to work. My mom and I got a full body massage, 60 minutes for $45 Im not gonna say it was bad or good, but I feel like it could've totally been better. The moves were very repetitive, and I did not feel like a new person after the hour massage. Mainly since it was rubbing, instead of applying pressure to any pressure points. One thing I did not feel comfortable with was that when you're in your separate room with just a blanket covering you, they open the door and leave, then come back. Even if the door is cracked open a little.. you can definitely see inside the rooms :( Overall the staff was nice and sweet, they give you a water bottle after the massage. read more

If you've driven by Tresch Triangle, seen the signs that say "Reflexology 45 minutes $25" and thought, "I should try that!" The answer is a resounding, yes! I have been here three times in the last month and a half it gets better each time. You call and make an appointment, I've made them for an hour ahead, arrive and they take you past private rooms, to a big room with several table/chairs. There has always been at least one other person there when I've arrived and they bring you a pan with warm water to soak your feet. They start massaging your scalp face and work down to your feet, then they turn you over and work on your back. I always get the $30 70 minute combo - 40 minutes reflexology 30 minute body acupressure. The massage is definitely not like a Swedish massage, but it is very effective. You do have to tell them if they are giving too much pressure. It is really nice to stay clothed. The place may look or sound a little sketch, but it's definitely legit. It's clean, warm and relaxing. I have had excellent sessions with Lisa and Steven, but for $25, what have you got to lose. read more

In a nut shell: Clean, kind staff, quality service, fair availability, fair location Tru Care Wellness Center is great and aside from an unusual set up (which I've come to appreciate) I enjoy this place and I'd like to tell you why. I have arthritis in my knee which after the years, is creating a lot of discomfort in my hip now and I'm afraid with my posture at work (which I can't change), knee surgery may be on the horizon. One hour in the dimly lit room where others were quietly enjoying the same "clothes on. foot soak and reflexology massage" as I was, as well as one hour in a private room with him. I the private room he worked on my sciatic issues, which I must say have made an tremendous difference in the way my knee has been feeling. I have had minimal pain which made me realize just how much pain I'd been in. $70 for a 2 hour massage is pretty unbeatable, so if you're looking for some TLC and can skip the spa part with fuzzy robes and pools, you should really give this a whirl! read more

I stopped in on the recommendation of my chiropractor, without an appointment and they took me right away. It's clean and very quiet, with comfortable chairs and skilled therapists working in a large room (they do have private massages available as well). But, I always felt so taken care of and so relaxed and never saw any thing odd after many visits, I finally let any worries go. I had one experience in Palm Springs where it was a bit sketchy. So it has taken me a few days to express my gratitude to James and the man at the front desk for getting me in that afternoon. If you are in a hurry, I have had hundreds of massages, a little informal training both on the practical and business side, and this place is awesome and you should go ask for James. If you want the whole story keep reading and don't be a jerk and always tip your therapist even bad massages deserve some feedback and leave a penny or dollar if you do the "No service, no tip" type of note or wrote a more productive letter with areas you would have liked them to have done something differently so they can improve. Don't let them think you are just cheap and massage magnificent I started my check-in by stating If I walked out I would be surprised. Well let's just say I didn't exactly make it to the walking In part and started to faint as I entered. I had undergone a "nerve test" and I was already emotional so my nerves were lit up. By the time the doctor put the needle in my neck to the point I screamed and started to cry as my entire body went into dysfunctional mode and extreme pain I knew I was in trouble. I searched the area I was in and driving home through and found nothing that was fiscally sound nor appealing. Sorry chain massage parlors although you may have availability but you are no longer price competitive when you compare your price to a salon. Basically you pay 50-60 a month for one massage plus 20 dollar tip to receive treatment from "fresh" faces to the industry who only see the place as a stepping stone to a "real" massage job - the one massage schools advertise stating earnings of $60 plus per hour plus tips and flexible hours. The business model is good is you want to franchise but not as a client who needs knowledgable and medically fluent in Eastern medicine to compliment treatment approach. Well, I live in Novato and while I have enjoyed the other non-member low price leader my friend referred me to this establishment to save $5 dollars. Well in this cas, as with the other provider whose cost is below market, go against the age old saying "You get what you pay for". Embarrisingly, when Infinally reached the place (my home town) I nearly collapsed opening the front door. Luckily, both my therapist and the manager could tell I was not well and properly supported me and got me a seat to re center and make sure I could keep going. In time, how long is unknown to me due to my feelings that you get as your endorphins kick in, I asked to be moved so I could lay down to get to my place as I felt I was ready and they never rushed me. And trust me, O respect others schedules and I wasn't rude using my phone or stalling the appointment and having everyone around wait on me, I am disabled and I move and think the best I can as often as I am able which I appreciated their consideration in not hurrying me or sighing with annoyance. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT AS I LAY WAITING FOR MY WATER TO SOAK MY FEET AND MENTALLY FELT AS THOUGH I CONTINUED TO SPIN AROUND THE ROOM (my endorphins had kicked in from the whole day and that caused all my symptoms) THAT I WOULD EXPERIENCE RELIEF OF MULTIPLE ACUTE SYMPTOMS WITHIN THE FIRST FEW STROKES OF THE THERAPISTS HANDS MANIPULATING MY MUSCLES THAT WERE TIED IN KNKTS BUT BENEATH THE MUSCLE STRUCTURALLY DESTROYED (so says the doctors and the mri's and me when they touch certain spots as did the doctor in my appointment with her darn needle used like a torpedo into my neck - literally I waited for spinal fluid to drip out of my back.) Anyway, back to James (have I even mentioned him by name yet? I will wish I didn't when he is no longer available as I almost want to keep him a secret!) He listened to or used his innate skills in therapy plus my drawings on the door diagram to work on areas. The other items I will mention about his degree of service, skill and professionalism include; 1. Asked about my primary concerns without wasting ten minutes scribbling on a clipboard that no one will read next time as needs change. I used the food card. 2. Inquired about pressure throughout the massage. 3. When he reached certain parts of me that most I wouldn't let touch with a ten foot pole and I told him the pressure was too much he QUICKLY AND CONTINUELy kept with his adjusted pressure until he moved to another area and then he reconfirmed the pressure. . Some therapist's just do what they do and revert back to the pressure you told them was hurting and now killing you. I have and will get off a table (well I can anymore without aid but I will swat anyone who doesn't respect that they should be healing me and not causing me pain and spacing out and forgetting is not cool! 4. Hands were soft, clean and well groomed. 5. Diverse choices of massage plus the option to sit in an open room or a closed private. I could go on and on, but the the bottom line is go! It doesn't get any better than this. After living up here in Northern California for about two years I've only found one place that was pretty good for Foot Reflexology. My wife, son and I were doing our Black Friday thing and decided we needed a break. We called our go to place, alas, no room. So we tried True Care. FINALLY we have found a place where the staff is friendly, speaks good English and give the best massages. Everyone in my family commented how incredible their massage was. I really cannot say enough about this establishment. Obviously it was only based on one massage however the fact all three of us had the same experience points to a well run and incredibly good business that can really deliver. Currently this is my "go to" place for a good massage. One therapist didn't work well for me, but I don't think he is a regularly there. I recommend asking if Helena is available . She's a very skilled massage therapist, and her kind and caring nature really come through. I get the combo, foot and whole body massage for 1 hour. I've gone here twice now and tomorrow will be my third visit! I love this place, such an awesome find! My first visit I went with my husband for a full body massage. It was the more traditional private room disrobe massage. We both were very happy with our massages. I went a second time on my own because I had an awful headache. This time I got a 75 minute foot and body massage in the shared back room space. It was excellent as well! Their prices are beyond reasonable. The foot massage, etc is different. The price is great; you get most of the time for a foot massage and the rest of the time for an acupressure massage with your clothes on. The foot massage is fantastic ! I felt like I had new feet on after I left the place. The acupressure part was a little painful, but it was fine.
