I've had chronic health issues over the last few years that no one has been able to solve. I've been to multiple traditional western medicine doctors and a handful of acupuncturists and had hit so many dead ends. I was feeling pretty hopeless about the issue by the time I went to Sarah. I wasn't expecting she'd be able to solve my issues, but I hoped maybe she could make them more manageable. I'm now ~4 weeks into my treatment with Sarah and I've seen more results than I've seen in multiple years. And not just temporary results, but lasting improvements. I could cry with joy; I feel so hopeful and relieved. The way she does acupuncture is so much more effective and efficient than other acupuncturists I've seen. She seems to be so much more deliberate and thoughtful with where she places the needles and for how long. More than that, Sarah makes you feel so safe, comfortable and cared for. She's also incredibly perceptive and takes a completely holistic approach. I can't explain it but when you're on her table, you just feel so genuinely cared for. I've never had an acupuncturist or doctor seem to care so much about healing me. It means so much to me. 5 stars does not do her practice justice. She is a true healer. Even if for whatever reason my results aren't permanent, I have hope again!

I injured my back doing cross fit in addition to probably a bunch of other bad habits. I'd never been to an acupuncturist before and was pretty skeptical going to one. I was referred to Heather by my wife. So glad I went. Have gone several times now and feel much better. OFFICE ========== Convenient location in quirky and fun downtown Fairfax. Quiet office despite being right off the Fairfax main strip and next to a lot of retail. 5/5 SERVICE ====== Heather Moore is an experienced professional with a good "bedside manner". She is thorough in her assessments and brilliant in the execution of her treatment plans. Her treatment plan complements the other activities and treatments I have. She is in sync with my rheumatologist (I have arthritis) and my chiropractor (Dr. Nadine in Corte Madera, also excellent). It's a multi-faceted treatment plan involving a lot more than needles all over your skin ;) Heather also knows quite a bit about eastern alternative medicines and therapies. 5/5 RESULTS ====== Big improvement in my back, my mood and my energy in general. I've had several consultations after some serious back pains, mostly due to cross fit. The punchline is that my pain is gone and I feel much better overall. 5/5 PRICE / VALUE ======= It isn't cheap but isn't exorbitantly expensive either. I'll just say that it's worth it! It's noteworthy that I don't feel like she is sucking every nickel out of me by unnecessary treatments / visits. 5/5 TIP ======= - Be open minded to acupuncture as a treatment / therapy option. Again, Heather knew the spots that needed the most attention. There was one area that felt hot, as if energy was being released. I wondered if I was imagining it, but over the next day or so I really felt the difference in some areas of my body that haven't been so good for quite a while. I am going back to see her very soon, as that was a few months ago, but we have spoken since and she has directed me toward some very helpful Chinese herbs. Heather is someone who inspires confidence with her knowledge and her kind but no-nonsense demeanor. (My favorite attitude in anyone who is partnering with me in health care stuff.) She is especially good with women's issues: endometriosis, candida, etc. Yay, Heather!

For about a year, people around town were talking about this massage place that was never open;…read moreapparently they had issues with permits, and some other legal hurdles, but they're open!!! Apparently they've been open for a while now, I just didn't know. I was in so much pain last night, and didn't want to go to the food reflexology place because frankly; they can increase pain; as they aren't really massage therapists - so I called Oasis. It was 8 p.m., and I saw that this place was open until 10 p.m. One four minute phone call, and I was booked!! Upon entering, I heard a woman yell out a name, three times, and a woman appeared from down the hall, very sweet. I mentioned that I'd called and needed an hour of body work. She said "You pay credit card or cash now," that was a bit off putting, but I was in a LOT of pain. I paid cash, fifty bucks for an hour "massage" and she said "come on," pointed to a room, and said "I bring change" so, I was waiting, and waiting, and realized maybe this is where I'm getting massaged. There was a table, and some oil, lotion and alcohol, so, I undressed and got on the table, about ten minutes later, a woman came in, and put the change on the "dresser" where the oil, lotion and alcohol were. When I asked her name she said "Ashley," oddly enough, the license outside for the massage therapist did not have the name of Ashley, so I asked if she was the massage therapist, she said "yes" and removed the blanket, and placed a towel over my body, and started PUSHING on my back, and shoulders. Ten minutes (at least) went by, and I asked if she was going to be massaging the areas I'd discussed on the phone, upper back, neck, shoulders and clavicle, pectoral area, and she removed the towel, got the oil and started massaging my back. Very deep, but kind of all over the place with the massage, she focused on the areas I spoke of, worked about a minute on each leg, didn't touch my hands or my feet. Now, I know, this sounds awful, right? NOPE - not really, just not what I like in a massage (normally), but I left there like a pile of mashed potatoes and gravy!! I had very little pain, and felt so much better. I didn't write a review last night because by the time I got home, it took all I had left to brush my teeth and get in to my bed!!! I rarely sleep past 4 a.m., I slept until 7:15 a.m., that's how great this massage was; although it was a lot different than what I'm used to; I'll be back. The next time, I'll ask for an hour foot massage, and ONLY feet, because she's strong, and I know that for me, a food massage tends to release a lot of tension and pain in my body. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is good, for fifty bucks plus a tip, there's no excuse not to get a massage now and then.
