Waited for 1 hour OVER the time when the doctor was supposed to see me to discuss the results of the ultrasound. Then someone came in and told me that the doctor who was supposed to see me had an emergency so she was going to let me know about my results. We spent 5 minutes talking about a lab test I knew would cost me mostly out of pocket. Long story short, I later received a bill for $591 for this horrible experience. Also, received a separate bill from the hospital itself for the same exact thing. When I confronted Pediatrix about this they told me Caroline Kline charged me for, "reading of the ultrasound." The ultrasound tech also just left and never wiped off the cream or took the towel off. She just left saying she might be back. And after a while I got tired of laying on my back since I'm pregnant so I sat up and removed it myself. The ultrasound was apparently finished. Talked to my midwife about this and was told I could have left after the ultrasound was finished and did not need to wait. Horrible experience and never planning to go back again. read more

We were referred here for a 33 week ultrasound and had a really bad experience. The tech was rude, we had no idea what we were looking at, and the photos we were sent home with were awful (just blobs) - it was as if the tech was rushed and didn't want to give us the time of day. Then we got to spend 30 minutes with the Dr trying to persuade us into giving birth at the hospital vs our birth center...We left know the baby was 100% healthy which was great, but other than that I would NOT recommend. read more

Was seen here in Nov 2020 instead of my typical OB because I was dialted at my 20 week ultrasound. It was a scary time but all doctors were amazing, calm and explained everything to me. I ended up having cerclage surgery, rupturing anyway and being on bedrest in the hospital until 25.5 weeks when I needed a csection due to infection. I ended up meeting all of the docs as they did rounds daily over that month, again all lovely (one just delivered information in a bit of a scary way which I did not prefer). But all listened to my concerns and really showed care and knowledge. Hopefully I would not need to see them again for high risk OB care, but my twin girls are here and doing well in the nicu currently, and part of it was the good care I received. Also got seen there for wound care and they were super flexible with the schedule for me since I was trying to work around the holiday and visiting the nicu. read more

Worst experience you could possibly get if you prefer to not give birth naturally. I asked for epidural when I gave birth to my son, it worked great at the beginning even though the doctor had to try twice to put it in, however, when it was getting close to delivery, I started to feel some pain but the nurse kept saying it was normal, it's just pressure, and would not give me extra dose. During the delivery I was in 10 out of 10 pain for two hours, I thought I would never be able to get the baby out, and when the baby was out, I did not even want to see the baby because I was in extreme pain. I ended up to have a stage 3 tear and when the doctor stitched me up, I could feel every needle going through my body, and was extremely painful. I contacted the customer relation department about this and they did not give a damn. Ladies out there, if you are choosing natural delivery, it's a good hospital with good doctors, but if you prefer a delivery with epidural, I would say go to another place unless if you want the worst birth experience. read more

We went there for an u/s for a second opinion. They let an untrained intern unattended literally play with the ultrasound machine on the baby for 30min saying that the other technician is on their way. She did know what she was looking at, could not take the measurements needed and caused distress to the baby while torturing my wife who was in advanced pregnancy and would have to go through a second ultrasound by their proper technician afterwards. According to the FDA: "While ultrasound is generally considered to be safe with very low risks, the risks may increase with unnecessary prolonged exposure to ultrasound energy, or when untrained users operate the device." We did not know the above before their appointment but definitely think twice before going there if you are not their regular patient. As a medical facility who performs regular ultrasounds they should have known that. read more

These beautiful people helped me through two very hard pregnancies. Everyone was extremely loving and nice. The practitioners would calm me down when I would get nervous. They went above and beyond every single time I went in. I loved going in for my ultra sounds. They help me deliver two very healthy baby girls. I am forever grateful. Went here for ultrasound due to pregnancy complications. The staff were kind, considerate, calm and explained what they were looking at and for. My problem is that I was told One thing and my midwives were told something different. I went to Bellevue the following week as my symptoms were worse. I had to have a "special" ultrasound...I hate this kind, you feel ... Anyway, the tech talked with us and explained what she was looking for and what she found. Again what I was told was completely different from what the report sent to my midwives said. read more

Coming here for my ultrasound was the perfect reminder of why I decided to choose the Eastside Birth Center and not the Hospital for baby #3. 1. Not family-friendly. No explanation of their policy that we shouldn't bring children to view the ultrasound at the time of making the appointment. So we came with two kids in tow, not a problem, except for how long this appointment took. Patients should be able to choose if they want their children to participate in the experience. But give us the information, let us know how long the appointment will last, so we can make an informed choice. 2. Not informative. It took a full two hours with three different techs "for quality control" to do the ultrasound. I wouldn't mind that they took this long if they explained ANYthing throughout the process. There was no explanation of what they were viewing, measuring, gestational age, etc, except for when I explicitly asked for specific information. 3. Bad bedside manner. We wanted we wanted to know gender, and asked this upfront but they waited until the very end of the exam to tell us this detail, and then it was told awkwardly. With no screenshots. No typing 'it's a girl' on the screen. Nothing that we had been given at the previous places to help celebrate this information. They didn't even volunteer standard profile pictures or pictures of hand or foot, I had to ask for them. Positive: They give you a complimentary DVD of the ultrasound. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. read more

Just a quick note. I haven't been to this branch, but when I needed to get in quickly to see Dr. Gavrila (as a new patient), Claudia at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She lined up a couple of options for me and then told me I might be able to get in sooner at their Bellevue branch (which I did). [See my review for the Bellevue location.] I called back over the lunch hour to let Claudia know that I wouldn't need the appointment in Kirkland since Bellevue had gotten me in that day, and since they were closed for lunch, I had to leave a message with their answering service. I nearly minused one star for the answering service frankly, because they not only gave me the wrong suite number for the Bellevue location, but did not deliver my message to Claudia at the Kirkland branch. However kudos to Claudia, she actually called me later to follow up and see if I still needed the appointment. Very professional! read more

I've been coming here the past 3 weeks for Non-Stress Tests and I gotta say, the nurses who administer the tests rock! I'm one of those patients who asks non stop questions and the nurses are extremely caring, comforting and they treat their patients like family. I really cannot say enough good things. I commute from DT Seattle so with the lovely 405 traffic I have been known to be late a time or two. They will literally stay late there to still see me going beyond the call of duty. It's not just one nurse either. It's pretty much all of them. Thank you MFM nurses! You guys are the best! read more

I have been coming here for months now after I was referred to by Swedish Med. Center due to a trisomy 18 scare (which turns out to be (hopefully) false). From the first appointment to now has been wonderful. I see Dr. Walker for my ultrasounds. They do such a great job explaining everything and not making you feel rushed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have relaxing lights that mimic stars above the rooms and use warm ultrasound gel (which makes a huge difference in comfort level). They do not need to do this but they offer me a 3D pic of my baby each time I visit. I am so lucky to have found Evergreen. read more

I've only been here for ultrasounds for pregnancy but my experiences have been great. I've had non-pregnancy related ultrasounds before with rude techs and this was definitely not one of those places. They have always been on time for my appointments and the techs have been very friendly and even very understanding when I drank too much water and ended up having to interrupt the scan to pee... twice. read more

MFM is amazing! All of the doctors are fabulous and very friendly. I was extremely high risk with my first pregnancy and they always made me feel comfortable and relaxed about my situation. I was on bedrest at the hospital for 5 weeks before my daughter came 12 weeks early. Every morning one of the doctors would come In and check in with me. My husband and I got to know all of the doctors and felt comfortable with all of them. I had an emergency c-section and my Doctor wasn't on call. I didn't care who was on call because we loved all of them:-) I can't imagine going to another doctor. They made my whole pregnancy experience the best it could be! read more

Definitely a place I would avoid if you are not high risk. This is my second pregnancy so I am aware of the costs and procedures. This establishment goes out of the way to double up on procedures and you will in turn be charged double for everything they do. You will not be asked for permission and there will be a lot of up sells. They are accustomed to expectant mothers being scared and willing to do all the unnecessary just to be safe. I changed to the women's care in evergreen for ultrasounds and I suggest those that are not high risk use a different ultrasound practice. read more

I have been referred here twice for ultrasounds. This clinic specifically handles high risk pregnancies, and I'm sure they do it well. However, in my experience they are very prone to jump from an mildly uncommon situation to the worst case scenario. I have had three babies under 6 lbs. All healthy, all small. On the most recent occasion at my routine 20 week ultrasound when the baby measured smaller-than-average by 2 weeks I was subjected to a list of possible causes, from genetic disorders (some fatal) to birth defects. It was recommended that I get further testing. I was made to feel like my daughter's life depended on it. The tests were not all covered by insurance, something that was never mentioned by MFM. They did help me craft a review to insurance but it was denied and we ended up paying an extra $1000 out of pocket, not to mentioned over 15 additional follow up appointments, and the costs associated, because of their prognosis. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who has not already been diagnosed with an extreme case. read more

Great place! I see Dr. Wall as my primary OB/GYN due to being high risk. He is amazing. Very thorough, talks to me like a person, answers my questions without making me feel stupid. His nurse Lisa is the BEST!!!! I work in the medical field and can say this office is the BEST off the best!!! read more

The place if fine, staff is nice and friendly but beware of evergreen hospital charges for ultrasound on top of radiology charged ($700.00 for 10 weeks test) they charged me $800.00 in facility fees! I had to go here for both of my pregnancies. My first, 4 years ago, I saw Dr. Kline. I went to the clinic throughout my entire pregnancy (twice weekly the last 2 months), and only saw her twice - on my initial visit, then again at my request a couple days prior to delivery. She was completely uninvolved. The office was unorganized, difficult to schedule appointments. I often had to wait more than an hour past my appointment to get in. On one visit, 4 different nurses came in trying to test for genetic disorders (not the reason I was there). Each time I told them that I was there for other testing and did not want genetic testing done, they would send in another person, who still did not know what was going on). I also was astounded at the increasing cost of ultrasounds and the fact that this increase was not disclosed prior to having them (jumped from $300 for the first one to over $1100 for the last one - I had them weekly!). I hated this clinic so much that I completed my needed testing with my regular doctor who did not have the specialized equipment this clinic has. My next pregnancy I requested to see anyone BUT Dr. Kline & was scheduled with another doctor. However, when I got there, the appointment had been made with Dr. Kline. We chatted for a few minutes then she told me I needed to see a fertility specialist (Uh, I have a kid and had 3 miscarriages - fertility not an issue here). When I discussed my frustrations with my regular OB, she read my history and when she got to Dr. Kline's notes, they were completely inaccurate, stating I had been on the drug heperin (I had not, she never prescribed it for me which is what I had visited her for) and she did not know why I kept having miscarriages. My regular OB then stepped over her and gave me the prescription - I was finally able to carry to term. I did have to go to the clinic to monitor my blood levels, but this time saw Dr. Wall who was compassionate and wonderful all around. The office also seemed more organized. Dr. Wall did not order a bunch of $1100 ultrasounds either. All were reasonable, and he allowed me to do all NST's with my regular doctor which was also a lot cheaper. Better experience this time around, but I would NEVER see Dr. Kline. I don't know which patient she was writing about in my chart, but it most certainly was not me. read more
