Had Eversource wires hanging off trees going to my house & electrical conduit pole hanging off my meter. Eversource man came in pouring rain banging on my door telling me not my problem or Eversource's either. Wanted to argue in pouring rain, while he was in rain gear & I was soaking. Eversource's customer service has been extremely disappointing. They scheduled the installation of our Net Metering equipment between 8:00 AM and noon and specifically told me that someone needed to be home. Based on that information, I took a day off from work. Unfortunately, no one arrived during the scheduled time window. When I called for an update, customer service could not tell me what had happened or when the installation would occur. I escalated the matter to a supervisor, who then informed me that I did not need to be home for the Net Metering installation after all. This contradictory information resulted in a wasted day off and unnecessary inconvenience. Eversource contracted Asplundh to trim trees around power lines on our street. Even though their website states that the use professional tree trimmers and do not flush cut, they flush cut 4 trees on the hillside between my backyard and the main , busy road. Three of the four trees they completely cut down to the ground were clearly on my property and not under the power lines. When called, they passed the buck to Asplundh but eversource was the company responsible for hiring them. Very disappointed, our backyard sanctuary is now on display to every car that passes. And although the people who work there appear to care somewhat more than Asplundh, they still are not offering any resolution! read more

I wrote a letter to Eversource letting them know i have 5-6 really tall trees that have branches hanging over the wires. I called and had an arborist look at it and they said it was unsafe for anyone other than Eversource to look at it. I wrote Eversource a letter. A LETTER. On 6/22 at 1:18am in the morning an Eversource tech came to my door and rang my doorbell to say they got a report that i said i had a branch on my wires - what?!? I said no i wrote a letter and needed Eversource's help to remove some of the trees due to placement - he said i followed the wrong process. Buddy, it is 1:18am in the morning. No one followed up. I called and spoke to Alfredo today - he said it doesn't sound like their issue and had no record of a tech coming to my house or a report. I said "cool man, when these trees come down and take out the neighborhood, i will share that i wrote a letter and called - not my problem". Poor service - what a monopoly read more

Company is completely screwing there customers . There telling my electricity bill for one month is 1500 dollars . We need an audit done on EVERSOURCE and there crooked billing practices . I used a generator for one month just to see if they would still bill me . My bill was 547 dollars even though I had the main shut off to my house . There making up number and just sending them bills . I have a camera on my meter . No one has checked the meter in over a year , yet i still get these REDICULOUS bills . I've finally contacted the state district attorney and have showed them my billing and have all the evidence showing I cut the power to the house and they still billed me almost 600 dollars . We've had a number of power failures caused by weather-induced downed trees and fallen limbs on power lines, and their crew show up very quickly to resolve the issue. Had a horrible experience moving out. I closed my account for what made it seem like I was done with the final bill. A few months later, I got a bill in the mail at my new address. The representative told me I was held accountable for paying utilities for after my move out since I did not having anything in writing that signified it even with the account removal. They also said they could not change the bill as it was too late (I called them right after I got the bill at my new address). The rep then ended with a lessons learned from this horrible experience. I would highly suggest finding a difference provider for everosurce. I got charged for the same amount for electricity when the apartment was completely vacant. This goes to show how their meters truly operate. I normally got charged $40-45/month for a studio and the month I left, I got charged significantly higher when no one was even in the apartment! I would highly suggest picking a different vendor to not deal with the horrible customer support and unclear billing. read more

This company is so amazingly incompetent that it would be funny except that they are dealing with a dangerous substance that can blow up a house and its occupants. Mind you, this company was CHOSEN to replace Columbia Gas which was partially to blame for those explosions in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Eversource is worse than Columbia Gas ever was. In February I got notice that Eversource had to do some work on my house so I took a day off from work and two men came out and put some piping on the outside of my house (piping is now rusting) and said someone would be back in March to finish the connection for a new high pressure gas system. It is now mid-July and no one has contacted me about this unsafe situation. To make matters worse, Eversource drove over the sidewalk in front of my house and cracked it. Now they have a virtual assistant that keeps asking questions and transfers us to recorded long speeches that have nothing to do with what we are calling about. I call them again. Ok now it finally works. I ask for a confirmation email. They say I will receive it shortly after the call is over. I never got an email. I tried to pay a bill online and the website was not working. I then called to pay over the phone. On the phone, they told me no payment had gone through and I would not be charged except for the one charge I would be making over the phone to pay my bill. I was then charged three times my bill amount. I did get back the money for the overcharge however Eversource charged me $20 ($10 for each overcharge) to get my own money back. When I called to fix this issue I was told there was nothing they could do. So I ended up getting triple charged for one bill and then charged again to get my own money back. Eversource is an awful company that can not manage their own customer's bills and accounts and borders on illegal practice of charging customers to get their own money back wrongfully taken out of their accounts. read more
