I made eye contact and smiled saying I was happy with what I picked out for Mother's Day and that I was ready to check out. I was looked at several times by three separate individuals. I said out loud while making eye contact again I was ready to check out and no one said anything. The thing that tipped me off to rate so low was the older gal who finally helped me- her look was annoyed. I should have asked if everything was okay. They provided stunning center pieces for the cocktail and dinner tables, bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen, and two large floral pieces for the ceremony. We worked mainly with Robert Upwall, who was absolutely incredible. He was responsive, accommodating, kind, and professional. I was a little nervous to meet with the designers here since they do so many large elaborate weddings, and we had a very small intimate one. I am so happy that I didn't let that dissuade me. Our initial consultation was with Pam and she is a creative powerhouse. I didn't necessarily have a "vision" for our wedding not to mention what flowers I wanted. I just showed her a picture of a bouquet I found online, and she was off to the races. For our final consultation we met with Robert. Oh, how I love Robert. He immediately made me feel like his best friend. He helped us problem solve a few things and polish up the final details. The day of the event, Robert and another employee were there at the venue to set things up, talk with each person in the wedding party, and add the perfect amount of simple beauty to everything. I ordered three centerpieces for Christmas. I was disappointed with what I received for the price point. Frankly, I could have picked up something a bit more full at Whole Foods or Harmons for less. They were extremely responsive by phone, always available, and always flexible when the requirements changed. Having recently done an engagement party and a wedding, I learned two things: First, choose a good florist, and second, budget as generously as you can, because nothing sets your party's mood more than the flowers. However, today driving I-80 East out of SLC one of your vans switched lanes, sped up and prevented an RV with the proper signal from avoiding a potentially dangerous situation. The driver manoeuvred to avoid an accident that a more courteous "every blooming thing" driver would have not made necessary. Yes, that RV driver was from out of state but I saw it & other locals may have witnessed it too. I went in for a wedding flower consultation and I felt like my opinion meant absolutely nothing. My colors are blue and the woman told me that she didn't want to put any blue in my bouquet and definitely no orchids (my favorite flower) because they were ugly. Instead she put together flowers that were orange and pink. I even told her that in the wedding we wanted the color in the decorations to come from the flowers and she still didn't put any blue in the flowers. I felt completely disrespected. I have frequented this place for my various floral needs throughout the years, and they always do an amazing job. Earlier this week I stopped in to order some flowers for my mom's birthday. I wasn't really sure what I wanted, but had mentioned that she did like a orange calla lillies if they were at all available. The woman helping me (Crystal i think?), told me they were an extra $4-$5 each, so i told her never mind and left it to them to create whatever they thought would be nice. To my surprise, I got a phone call from them the day before they were delivered. The girl who helped me said that she had some orange calla lillies that didn't work out in another arrangement, and since she would have thrown them away anyway, put them in the arrangement I ordered.
