Due to the caregiver in charge not doing certain protocols my son was completely forgotten, strapped to a seat on the bus. Additionally no other staff member raised any alarms so they also did not follow protocols. At 4:50 my husband arrived at the facility and was told " we don't know, we haven't seen him since that morning". Once my husband threatened to call the police did they start looking for my baby. My son was located 12 minutes later. He was crying flushed drenched in sweat, hungry and thirty. As a mom who could have lost her baby for the negligence of this daycare, I am furious. My baby is now seeing a counselor for nightmares.

She has been so wonderful with him, and knowing he was with someone who genuinely cared about him made such a difference for us. THE VERY FIRST DAY I dropped my 4 yr old off in his class, his teacher was holding a kid by his upper arm and yelling in his face, she told him to,"STOP BEING ANNOYING". I felt absolutely appalled, especially leaving my two sons there, this being the very first time they were put in daycare since they were born. But I spent 3k on my phlebotomy course and has already postponed it 2 times just to find a childcare for my kids. My 4 yr old has autism and cannot tell me if anything happens. I immediately reported it to the program director and she seemed very ""upset"" by it and said that it's unacceptable behavior for a teacher to do that and that she'd talk to the TEACHER to find out what happened. Got a call later, teacher said she "leaned down to his level" and they can understand why I THOUGHT she was in his face and was talking in a stern voice and can understand why I THOUGHT she was yelling. I asked if she had talked to the child about what happened and she said no, then proceeded to talk about the child as if he was a problem child and was always getting into trouble. Even if that is true, WHO CARES? You keep your hands off of children and never raise your voice to kids that aren't yours. Don't work in childcare if you can't handle being around children that misbehave or children generally! Shame on you all. Another thing, I dropped my sons off and as I was walking out of the building a woman walked out of the infant room and said, "I'm so f'ing tired of this sh*t". Wow just wow. My 1 yr old was in that exact classroom as well. These adults have absolutely no self control or patience for these babies and they should be ashamed of how they treat them. From the very beginning during the tour I had a terrible feeling, not welcoming at all, dirty, and the teachers give off bad vibes. Fortunately my sons are in a Headstart that have fantastic teachers that I know they'll be safe with. When I pulled my kids out once I finished my Phlebotomy course (which I noticed them about the day I signed enrolledment paperwork), they told me that I would till have to pay for the next week of childcare. My kids absolutely did NOT go back there and they still charged me $800 for the week of services we never received. On that note, this program definitely packs their classes like sardines, definitely not following the teacher to child ratio guidelines. Kid's Town has all the basics a parent would be searching for. They are organized, safe, knowledgeable and skilled in their field, provide daily reports on eating, sleeping, potty, etc. They're programs with music, art, reading and activities outside are phenomenal. The facility is clean and well maintained. But they are so much MORE than that! I could never possibly express my gratitude and peace of mind I feel when I leave my child with them during the day. They go above and beyond to provide individual attention to each and every child and my child just absolutely adores every staff member as do I. For example, when my son was learning to walk, he was quite fond of trying to climb up the small play structure in the infant room although he didn't quite have the hang of coordination yet. He bonked his head a couple times and before I could even ask a question, the staff literally reorganized the ENTIRE infant room and added some raised soft mats for him to climb on while blocking the play structure until he got the hang of his balance. In response to the other comment on the inspection/report history. EVERY SINGLE CHILDCARE CENTER has had at least one small violation at one time or another on their record. Kid's Town has not had ANY serious violations and they post the findings after every visit is conducted. The visits are unannounced and at the last one conducted in August of 2019, there were absolutely NO violations noted. There will come a day when we will have to say goodbye as we move on to Kindergarten and it will be so bittersweet. We love our second family at Kid's Town.

She also will force you to take your one hour lunch as early as possible so she can legally send you home early asap to save money. If you are looking for a full-time job this is not it as you will be told "full-time" yet be sent home early most days. Resa has said that the business is kept overstaffed to ensure the proper ratio of teachers to kids. However her first thought after my wife was in the hospital was to hire somebody and give her hours away. This employer cares nothing for her employees and only cares about money and how to save a dollar. I urge you to stay away and seek employment elsewhere.

I was having hard feelings about going back to work, but staying at home was not a feasible option. From the moment we toured Goddard, we knew we had found the right people to entrust with our girl. All of the directors and teachers know every kid's name, and there is genuine joy from the staff every time a child walks through the front door. They send us daily updates on how my daughter is doing, what she did throughout the day (AMAZING and DYNAMIC curriculum!) what she ate, and even when she went to the bathroom (as a parent, you need to know!) from day one my husband and I have always felt that our daughter was safe and incredibly well loved and cared for by the teachers and directors. The staff are responsive to any calls/texts/emails right away, and are genuinely interested in not only the child, but the family. I love all of events they put on throughout the year: from dress-up days to holiday parties, to school dances, you can tell how much the staff love the kids and how safe the kids feel with the staff.
