Busy Bees went through an ownership change in early 2022…read more Safety My kids came home scratched up and bruised multiple times, and I never got a report of the incident. When I asked what happened to my daughter to the main teacher, the teacher had no idea and the teacher said to follow up but never got a response back. COVID-19 response The staff never wore masks and never required kids to wear masks but one Monday all staff were masked up, it was eerie. Later that day, the school notified me that my kids were exposed to COVID-19 with no details of exposure, and the school was closed for a week. The tuition was reimbursed. Discipline Policy There was a child who is disruptive and harmful to other students, the school had no procedure to correct the kid's behavior. The kid was aware of no consequences for his behavior and bullied kids who were playing alone or kids who doesn't retaliate. Teachers appeared not responsive until kids scream, cry, or tell teachers for help. Basic manners such as taking turns, sharing with others, and being kind to others were not important to teachers and were not disciplined. If these are not taught in a school, why should I even bother sending my kid here? My kid got chased, sand over her hair, and her sand castle was destroyed by one kid. The staff never tried to stop the bullying behavior, they didn't even know it was happening. Teacher-to-Student ratio The school advertises a 1:6 ratio. One teacher and two assistant teachers for 18 kids. However, that's only in the classroom. When kids are outside at the playground, the teacher stays inside the classroom and only assistant teachers are monitoring the kids.

The enrollment was always full a year ahead of schedule just by referrals and without any advertisement. There was always waiting list but chances of getting into a classroom was very slim due to high enrollment. I think that alone speaks for itself how amazing their program is. I also worked another 5 years at two of the local elementary schools after my employment as Busy Bees. The students who previously attended Busy Bees stood out like a super star in the classroom at all times. The student's knowledge, respectfulness towards peers and teachers, skills and classroom participation well represented Busy Bees' core values. The staff is amazing; they are all very caring, loving, fun, experienced and been there for a long time. I know for fact that three of them have been working there for at least 10 years if not more. One of them became the new owner and she is doing an amazing job managing her staff and Busy Bees program carrying on the legacy that was created by the former owner. So, if you are looking for a well maintained, clean, happy and high academic education, look no where else; Busy Bees is the right preschool for your child.

I am so glad we did!! My daughter went from not wanting to go to school, to now loves going, and is thriving! We are so thankful for the kind and amazing staff. This is not a school, but more like an overpriced and unqualified daycare. When I informed the administration of my complaints, they proceeded to defend their inadequate staff due to nepotism and did not refund my money for the month my kids did not attend due to bullying and poor teaching conditions. The elementary program has one teacher, Ms. Sangeetha, who encourages bullying, shame and treats her students with humiliation, as described by my 6 year old daughter at the time (she is 7 now and has vivid memories and stories of the terrible situation at that school). There is no learning, no homework or evidence that your child is even learning. I also reported Ms Sangeetha's inappropriate behavior of inviting my daughter on field trips without parental consent and not scheduling any meetings with us as parents to review my daughter's progress. My second child was in the toddler children's house with Ms Eva, who from my understanding, is not a Montessori trained teacher but rather simply the mother of another student in Ms Sangeetha's class. I reported Ms Eva and her assistant as being cold and ineffective. My 4 year old son informed us that both teachers left the children alone for long periods of time. He had a horrible experience and felt very neglected. He had a fall and giant knot/bump on his head on his first week there. Ms Eva also was an emotional wreck, who appeared to be crying on a daily basis. The staff that is hired here is questionable. There are "field trips" planned without parent consent or permission slips. My daughter had an accident at school and soiled herself and not one staff member alerted us or helped her. Our experience at this school was horrible and I am considering to take legal action based on the money that was taken from me and the neglect faced by my kids.
