Afterwards my son was made to feel like he did something wrong and that is why he was left behind. Would not trust this place with my babies safety! This incident happened 03/20/2023. My son attended for a little over a year. In 7 months' time, his class cycled through 4 teachers. The business was having a tough time retaining staff. I believe part of this was due to poor leadership. The lady who was in charge clearly played favorites with teachers and parents. It was very easy to see. The last teacher my son had would just sit in a chair and holler at the kids with minimal interaction. My son soon began to throw fits before school. It was clear he did not feel comfortable at Kindercare. Once we moved him to a different daycare company the fits stopped and he thrived. Looking back on my emails I found that I had to request twice for Kindercare to acknowledge our termination request. Looks like nothing has changed between then and now. read more

Lexington Hills Kindercare has been our primary childcare since moving to the area in 2019. At the time, I had toured 10 facilities in the area and I chose this location because I really enjoyed talking to the director and assistant director. The place was clean, the kids seemed happy and well cared for. My son was 3 when he started, and since he was small, he'd been previously babied and very behind in verbal communication. Within weeks at Kindercare he was speaking full sentences. I now have my daughter there since 3 months, and we've been very happy with them. I can't say enough glowing things about the infant room caretaker. When we had a medical emergency in the family, she and her team made me a care package. It's little things like this that go beyond just being a corporate center. With the recent incident, we had our concerns about staying. We met with the Regional Director and talked about our concerns. We feel confident that they're taking what happened very seriously and they never want something to happen again. We were told about their safety review, trainings, and the new trainings that will be coming in the future. The woman that was fired had not lived up to requirements and with her departure, the Regional Director is reviewing and scrutinizing every part of the center personally. My kids love the teachers, and I still put my trust in this Center and the wonderful people there. There's improvement that we want to see in the next few months, but we have no doubt they'll get there. read more

Staff lacks empathy towards young kids and mostly focus on clocking their hours. No wonder they had a serious issue with leaving one of the child behind in their bus. We have been sending our son (2+) to KinderCare for over 3 months now and we really like the staff and the program they have for kids. I had enquired about the school from other colleagues and found this to be one of highest as per recommendations. They have a good atmosphere, conducive environment for toddlers to grow their skills and enrich their cognitive abilities. Another benefit is they offer Intel discount. The only reason this is not a 5 star from our side is that school does not seem to impose sick child policy and having sick children in the class triggers others (our son included) falling sick . May be this is by design but it sure does tax our work/life balance and his health. We also find that the kids are not pursued to finish their meals or eat what they SHOULD eat. If your kid is not proactive in eating his/her food, you will have to take extra care in making sure you are compensating for the lack of enough food the kid is receiving at the day care. Our toddler started at this facility ~1 year ago. One of the main reasons why I picked Kindercare was their ability to coordinate with my changing schedule and the fact that they are a bigger institution that takes food allergies very seriously. We have a few dietary restrictions and both Ms Jody & Ms Tara have contacted me on products that were either new or which we had to look at ingredient lists for. Since starting there our toddler was able to potty train and move from the two to three year old class room. I love that if there's anything of real importance the teachers are always able to communicate that with me. We moved our now 2 year old to Kindercare after a bad experience with an in home daycare. I was hesitant to put her in a "center" thinking she may not get the time and attention she would receive at an in home daycare - I could not have been more wrong. From her first day at Kindercare the entire staff was friendly, attentive and more than accommodating. Our daughter has been at Kindercare for over a year and words cannot express the positive changes we've seen in her. Everyday she comes home singing a new song and with new words added to her vocabulary. She loves going to "school" in the morning to play with her friends and we couldn't ask for anything more. Before I decided on this place, I looked into several other locations in the area as well as other companies, but this Kinder Care really stood out. This team is always looking for ways to make learning fun. I really feel they go above and beyond the learning programs of a typical preschool (and even other KinderCares) by sticking to a well structured plan and engaging families with after school functions, additional/specialized learning programs, and events. The teachers each have their own styles, but everyone we have worked with have the same end goal; to make sure our little one is happy and progressing in her learning and development. Lucky for us, KinderCare Lexington Hills was our last stop of many day care facilities as we made the decision to have our baby girl attend starting at 3 months old. My husband and I needed a place where she can be five days a week, 8-9 hours / day so we could return to work full time. We also hoped that wherever she went there were professional, hard working staff, but more importantly caring and fun teachers to care for her, guide her, make her laugh, teach her new things, introduce her to solids when I was too freaked out to do so on my own, and much more. KinderCare's staff goes above and beyond what any day care does - from the time you meet them upon learning about the center to months or years down the road. The director's blow my mind every week with their communication with parents and children alike. This isn't just a "day care" or "learning center" - it's like a second home. Tried this Kindercare for about 2 months after moving to this area. The first day the teachers were not even aware my son was even starting. This was during the winter season so I assume a lot of staff may be on vacation but even considering this a lot of time it appeared as though the ratio of students to teachers were over the limit. There was also a lot of turnover of teachers- one left and one changed to a different class. Hard for a teacher to get invested in your child's learning if they are substituting or stressed by the number of students. Got the feeling that most treated it like a job. Most of the time at pick up it was an organized mess with kids everywhere. The front of the school was also unkempt with leaves everywhere on the sidewalk. Very disappointed- same price as Phoenix down the street and much happier there. read more

Very nice and clean facility. In the lobby there is free coffee and sometimes snacks. All the staff are very nice and helpful. My daughter is in preschool here and she has learned so much! She loves it here! She learns about all kinds of interesting subjects as well as does a bunch of art projects! Her favorite part is learning a bunch of songs! I really like how closed off and fenced in the playground is. I feel very safe leaving my daughter there, especially because of the staff. We love KinderCare. We brought our 2 children (1 infant, 1 toddler) to KinderCare for our short stint in CA and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. KidneCare is great for working parents. Their convenient times of operation allow you to drop your children off as early as 6:00 am and pick up is as late as 6:30 pm. There is a set fee and you don't have to worry about rushing home because you'll be late on your pick up time and get charged extra. When it is summer and vacation, the kids are used to all the teachers and enjoy going to daycare to see their friends. They have a large range of activities for the kids during the summer, from going to movie theaters, bowling, rock climbing, off site luncheons, etc. This keeps the kids excited and looking forward to the next activity. All of our kids love the teachers there and they are always very caring and understanding. read more

There was several red flags about this KinderCare! I'm really surprised about the good reviews. This is a late post. Our baby was attending this daycare. Initially I felt confident in their abilities. However, our baby (who went to a previous daycare provider) didn't eat as well and wasn't sleeping. The teacher in the room thought he was sick. However he did not show symptoms of being sick and after seeing the doctor, everything was fine. I would visit time to time and noticed that there was a delay in how staff responded to a baby crying (10-15 mins). One teacher in particular was cleaning rather than attending to crying baby. Then one day I decided to make a surprise visit and noticed our baby was sitting away from the other children crying with snot dripping down our baby's face. Now, I've worked with children for a length of time and know that in order to have that much snot dripping on the face, our baby must have been crying for a length of time. The other last straw was when my husband picked up our baby and noticed our baby had a poopy diaper. He asked when was the last diaper change and the teacher did not know. Also, safety is a HUGE issue for us. It is beyond me how this KinderCare posted the access code on the front door to notify parents that the code has been changed. This is ridiculous! Anyone, ANYONE could have walked in. Even if there is staff in the front office, who knows what kind of person could have walked through and potentially cause harm. Also, when we brought up our concerns to the director about our baby not sleeping and eating, the director had the audacity to say that it was our child's fault. Maybe our baby difficult time because our child was not being cared for because as soon as we transferred to another daycare our baby had NO issues with sleep or eating. So stating that it was our child who had difficulty transitioning is an invalid point. I highly recommended bringing your child somewhere else! The staff is friendly, and the director and manager were accommodating. However, friendly and accommodating just doesn't cut it. read more

My son has been at the Lexington Hills KinderCare for almost a year now as part of their afterschool program, and now full-time during the summer months. He absolutly loves going there and has made some wonderful friends. We've been thrilled with his teachers - Ms. Rachel and Ms. Danielle and now Ms. Sandy have all been wonderful - from helping with homework, providing engaging games and activities, or spending a little extra time on reading, they have been great! My son was picked up each day from school in the KinderCare bus, and I loved watching his light up when Ms. April would walk onto the playground to pick him up. I don't let very many people drive my child, so allowing him to take the bus from school was a BIG deal for me, but they have always kept the kids safety and their number 1 priority, and honestly, he loves riding the bus and would be disappointed when I'd pick him up and he'd miss out on his bus time. He truly adores his KinderCare family, as do we, and we appreciate knowing that he's in a safe and nurturing environment. read more

Wow.... where do I begin? Being a single mother, I've unfortunately had the displeasure of shipping my kids off to numerous daycares with some TERRIBLE experiences. Jodi and Tara and all of the teachers at Lexington Hills KinderCare are so amazing, that I become emotional and teary eyed just thinking about it. They truly care about the children in their care. They are compassionate, patient, AMAZING human beings and I feel so blessed to have had them care for my two daughters. It feels so good to know that your child is in the hands of amazing people; happy and safe. It's truly priceless and as a mother, nothing feels better than to know your children are happy and taken care of. Trust me, nothing feels worse than questioning the care one's children are in. I've never had to worry about that here. My girls come home every single day happy and excited and raving about new things that they have learned. Ms Rachel and Ms Cheryl are also amazing. My daughters love them so much. We've unfortunately had to move to a new KinderCare due to relocating, and I can only hope it's even partly as wonderful as the Lexington Hills daycare has been. We looked around other day care facilities and the one thing that stands out is their flexibility. We drop off our son who is in kindergarden at 6:00 am as we leave for work. They provide transportation to and from school. They have set hours during the day and if your child is there, they can be there all day, you're not having to try and rush in traffic and worry about being 10 minutes past your scheduled pick up time and being charged extra. They have many dedicated teachers (some are even full time teachers and then they come after school and work here) that work with the kids and even have homework club after school. They also do special projects, art, games, etc. They don't just turn them lose to play or let them watch tv like at some places. As a state worked they also give a 10% discount. Overall my son really likes going here and has made many additoinal friends. Usually when we go to pick him up he is sad that he has to leave. Definetly recommend this daycare. read more
