Chris was such a wonderful person to work with for my 10/22 wedding; kind, informative, and highly responsive.

Rainbow Custom Made Pinatas - Filling up piñata with candy!

I read the reviews (which really helped) but i couldn't help but be skeptical since the meet up…read morepoint was a restaurant and she was not there to greet me (it was a waiter who took my payment and gave me my piñata). It was my first time ordering and having a custom made piñata so my expectations were not very high. Firstly communication was great when we texted and I sent her an email. Gladys responded through text and I pretty much directed the conversation. I paid in cash- 2feet for $55 and additional $14/ additional 0.5feet. So I ordered a 3ft piñata which was confirmed by text and was completed in a few days as promised (I gave her enough time to work on it since it was 3 ft). The hitting stick is an additional $6 which she also made. We (my husband and I ) picked up the piñata and only 1 waiter was responsive to my request. I was asking another waiter about the restaurant but he brushed me off as he was serving a customer that was eating. Mi Lindo Peru is a nice well known restaurant in Mission St and is open 7days a week. Secondly, Piñata was 3ft as promised and met my expectations in terms of how it was supposed to look like (from photo given). It was sturdy and light. There was a hole available for us to put candy in. We didn't fill it up because we didn't know how much a 3ft piñata could handle. There was a hook but didn't have string for us (which i didn't realize) so I bought one on our way to the party. Finally, I have to say that my family and I were very happy with the piñata! It was a huge success at the kids party. It was difficult to hit (sturdy) but at least the kids enjoyed it and the adults were recording their kids release their aggression. Lol The adults had fun playing with the piñata after the candy came out. Lol Muchas Gracias Gladys!

When I called last week to inquire about an Accent Decor product from the AD website she was quick to scold me for not knowing how it all works including using the website, the process for ordering, etc.. She used the verbiage of a parent scolding a child and told me I WAS GROUNDED! (no, seriously, I'm not kidding) Excuse me? I'm a grown woman with absolutely NO relation to you and this is a business call. It didnt get better when I followed up with an email inquiry for look alike products to aforementioned AD item (screenshot attached). When I had mentioned I didnt have time to drive 30 minutes to the SF flower market in the near future but would stop in on my next planned visit, I was told that I need to "make time to come in" or "just go on the website" with absolutely no warmth or customer care. This may be the worst first impression of a business I have ever had. Sounds like others have had this same issue and it wouldnt surprise me if they were all her.

Great selection in an informal warehouse setting…read more Lots of choices here. Great service from the different vendors I visited. Better value for money. This was a delightful find. It is not crowded as you get closer to closing time. I found it easy to make a purchase at that time. Come here to the source. Paid parking available.

We had a somewhat difficult time finding a day of planner. We wanted someone extremely organized…read moreyet flexible, as we had some traditional elements to our wedding but a lot of nontraditional ones as well. It was important to us that we felt our planner really understood us, which would enable us to have the wedding we dreamed of. The moment we met Christine of Ribbon and Tie we knew we'd love her to be our planner. Unfortunately she was already booked, but she set us up with her assistant Samar to be our day of planner, and Christine would take care of all the details until that day. Christine was extremely helpful in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding. She answered all my questions....some big, some small, some reasonable, many crazy...all with a calm and kind and ORGANIZED way about her. Basically, exactly what you'd want in a planner. Even though she wouldn't be there that day, she came with us (and Samar) to the site visit about a month before. I was a little bit hesitant about dealing with one person before the wedding and another person that day, but Christine must be an excellent communicator because Samar did fantastic the day of. Samar coordinated our wedding rehearsal the day before. She was really calm and handled it really well. Our wedding rehearsal took place outside at noon on a HOT day, and we had lots of little kids in the wedding, and they wanted to do anything but concentrate on how they were supposed to walk the next day. She managed to keep everyone focused and taught us all when and how to walk, and everyone left confident that they knew what to do the next day. On the day of the wedding, I had brought with me about a zillion photos to display, coloring books for little kids, party favors to be at each place setting...you name it, we brought it. Samar (and her assistant Liz) set everything up beautifully and still had time to answer any questions we had. She coordinated the delivery and setup of the drinks from Bev Mo, the microphone and speaker, the photobooth, the ice cream cake. She kept the party running smoothly, would pull me away if I needed to be somewhere, and she did this all with a smile on her face. And I have a feeling she did ten thousand other things that I don't even know about. She probably didn't have to work out for a month, she was so busy running around. The one thing I wish she had done was to make sure we signed our marriage license. Luckily we remembered the next day (and the officiant was my sister so she was still around), but I'd highly advise you to be sure that she'll remind you that day to sign it. Most importantly to me, if there were problems at the wedding, I didn't know a thing about them. Samar took care of them without me finding out. This was really important to me to be able to enjoy my wedding and not stress out about the things that went wrong. If I knew all the other things that Samar did at the wedding this post would be even longer than it already is, so suffice to say I highly recommend either Samar or Christine from Ribbon and Tie.

We haven't had our actual wedding yet, so I'll have to update this in three months. But we hired…read moreChristine as our Day Of Coordinator and have been really impressed so far. She answers email really quickly, is totally sweet, and as my fiance said after meeting her, "She's the only wedding planner I've ever encountered who doesn't annoy the shit out of me." She gets total bonus points so far because, when we showed up at her house for our initial meeting, one of us had mixed up the days (I have no idea who) and she wasn't expecting us. It was early on a Saturday morning, and she was still totally gracious and on the ball. It was actually pretty funny---her boyfriend/husband (not sure which) answered the door in his bathrobe. I felt so bad for interrupting their morning. But he was so nice about it and made us tea and hung out with us for the few minutes it took Christine to get ready. She was really mellow and fun and definitely got what we were looking for.
