At the end of the first meeting they gave us some homework, to describe them what our dream day to be like. Our second meeting was about 1 month before the wedding and we went over the agenda for our big day. The day of the wedding we had one of the videographers getting video of the groom & bride at all time and the other videographer getting all the details from the wedding in addition to some epic drone footage. Joel also took it upon himself to keep us on schedule during the day which definitely was one less thing to worry about. Once the day was over they were able to quickly post a teaser and highlight video that kept us craving to see the full documentary that we had. After a couple adjustments we finally receive our full documentary and its was absolutely perfect. My wife and I are super happy that we had the drone footage and a phone for our guest to leave us a voicemail. To me, hiring the right photographer was the most important part of the wedding planning process. Their portfolio had amazing photos and Rachael didn't disappoint! Anna, our Photography Coordinator, sent us forms to fill out ahead of time and she then created a photography brief, which included all of the shots we wanted, making the family portraits go quickly and smoothly. They were good about calling and checking-in right before the wedding to make sure they brought our vision to life. Rachael and Jenny were fun to work with during our first look photo shoot, which we had off sight prior to our ceremony. They let us be natural but they also made suggestions for various poses, which we appreciated. They worked well together and captured the whole day beautifully and before they left the reception, they checked in to see if we wanted any last photos. We couldn't wait to see the photos they took and loved looking at our sneak peak photos a few weeks later! So fun to get a taste of our first look. Then we got the email saying that all of our photos were ready!! (which arrived ahead of the expected timeline, which was most likely a perk to getting married in the off season!) They were amazing! We loved Eric's portfolio and the way he mixes in heartfelt, glamorous, and whimsical moments. We asked him a bunch of questions during the intro call, mainly technical topics about photography, and we were impressed with his experience and thought process regarding different lighting environments. On the day of the event, before the couple's portraits, Eric spent a few hours scoping out the area for prime photography spots. It was a huge help, because he took into account factors like the angle of the sun and the crowdedness of the area to make sure my husband and I had a great experience. We did a few posed shots, and as someone who's never posed for photography before, I loved how relaxed Eric made us feel, and we had a lot of laughs where we almost forgot there was a camera around. Our full gallery arrived super speedily, and we couldn't have asked for more. Every shot either tugged at our heartstrings or made us laugh. After the phone consultation we decided to go forward with hiring LeoThai for ceremony-only video. We got the video back a little after the projected deadline and the nice thing is that we can ask for edits up to 14 days after receiving the video. We were really lucky to be able to book the studio and everything since the contract was signed was butter smooth, professional, 'dreamy' as my wife would call it - It was our BEST call during the wedding process and how fortunate we were to have them capture the most precious moments in our lives in a such pleasant, delicate way. During the preparation of our pre-wedding shooting, we were offered plenty options to shoot across the bay area. There was no rush in decision making and Ammy was so careful to discuss with us the theme of our pre-wed to match our ceremony as well as the stories of us getting together. We were discussing these details on daily basis ahead of the shooting and when we decided the two day itinerary, she went further to help us pick the outfit - I still remember the day when were ready for shooting, my hair was not really properly done and her team helped me redo my hair which is obviously not their duty. Ken drove us that day to highway 1 on day one and it was a whole day full of professional shooting and recording of great time - I almost felt like we are on a road trip full of romance and Ken was there to capture who we really are, with sincere emotions in the pictures so story-telling and loving. And there was also the short movie shooting that they centered around our stories and the film was so precisely executed with all the emotions and presentations we intended. Everyone on the wedding day was touched by the film and I couldn't thank them enough. After the pre-wed shooting, we were very close to the studio team and grew even more confident of the wedding day. My wife was getting more nervous of all the wedding planing and if there was one thing reassuring to her, it was the studio would make the wedding look absolutely fabulous - And she was RIGHT. On the wedding day, there were a crew of more than five people from the studio, it was more than two hour drive from their office to the venue and they were there by 9am. The sun came out and our big day shooting went on like a dream, we went to the beach to capture so many great pictures as the time allows. The film team was also there and even brought a drone to get some cinematic touch to the professionalism we enjoyed from the start. Right before the ceremony started, I didn't even notice but they were at all angles capturing everything. I was amazed how many awesome shots we got from the ceremony and every picture was so natural and full of the late August sunshine. In the catering session, our guests admired greatly on the pre-wed photos we presented in the hall and of course the pre-wed film that were magical. After our wedding, the studio worked with us on picking the photos from the wedding for re-touching - The techniques of the crew were top notch and fast in response to our needs. We received all the digital copy of the pictures on time and we shared them with all of our family and friends with waves of complements and blessings flowing in. After the first meeting, we were hooked! Kenny and Ammy were very willing to meet with us for as long and often as needed to make us feel comfortable with what we wanted and what we were getting. Before our each shoot, they were willing to take the time to make sure we would be as well prepared and well dressed as possible. They are also very enthusiastic about their work, and their cheerfulness is infectious. The staff at VID studio are all very professional. They have all different kinds of cameras, stands, and photo/video accessory for every kind of shot. A city-wide video shoot with them will make you feel like you're filming a professional commercial or movie. Kenny, Ammy, and the rest of the crew are all perfectionists. They will do everything in their power to make every picture and every scene perfect, whether it be taking extra shots just in case the next one comes out even better, working extremely long days, or even extra days to get everything right. My wife is incredibly picky about photos and video, and they almost always managed to please her. If she wasn't 100% satisfied, they would do whatever it took to get her there. Of course that means that we also spent a LOT of time in front of the camera, but it was well worth it. Ammy does a wonderful job with makeup and hair. My wife can be extremely picky about this, but she always comes back from the mirror glowing after being prepped by Ammy. Kenny is a wonderful photographer who cares less about poses and more about what his clients are doing, what's happening around them, and how they interact with their surroundings. He's really great at using the settings of his shots to their full potential. Like Kenny, video director Shun is very flexible. While they always come up with a general script for shots, he's always looking to see how he can use what he has to make it the best it can be. The same can be said for the rest of the crew as well. We and everybody we know have been extremely happy and impressed with their results for our engagement photos/video and we can't wait to see how our wedding photos and video turned out!
