We were approached by Brian who showed us a few options after telling him that our current doors measured 60x80. My husband mentioned to Brian that he wanted a pivot door - Brian led us over to the one and only pivot door they had in stock - that according to Brian and the sign in store, was the exact size we needed. We were so happy and relieved to be able to find a door that was everything we were looking for in one go rather than having to go to multiple shops. We paid the invoice and gave our contractor the information as well as a picture of the invoice so he can grab it once he was ready to install the door. Today 6/23/26 our contractor calls my husband to inform him that the door does not fit - with the frame it is a little taller than the 80" we had told Brian about. My husband calls Urban Doors to see what can be done and even speaks directly to Brian who admits that the door is a little bigger than 60x80 with the frame. My husband asks why this wasn't mentioned to us before we bought the door and what can be done about it - we aren't contractors, we're just homeowners looking for a door. How are we supposed to know that when you say 60x80 that means it's not really 60x80? Brian asks if the door has been removed from the plastic packaging which yes it has - our contractor had to remove the door from the packaging to install the door that we were told would fit. And it wasn't until then at the time our contractor is trying to install the door that he realized it did not fit because it is measuring 83" with the frame. Brian tells my husband that unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about this issue as the invoice states no exchanges/final sale. We understand what no exchanges/final sale means - but there should be some accountability. We tell you that we need a door to fit a 60x80 space, you tell us this door is 60x80 and will fit. Then when we try to install this final sale door - you tell us with the frame it's bigger than we can fit! It's not like we bought the door then suddenly changed our mind and want to return. The freaking door that you said would fit doesn't fit. Make it, make sense. This is bs customer service and business ethics. We will be warning everyone around us - family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, and other contractors in addition to ours to avoid Urban Doors the moment they tell us they're even thinking about renovating/building. It's the principle of things - just asking for some decency here and we did not get it after being misled if not lied to by their employee.

When we told him we were not certain about the style of doors for some of the items he urged us to sign the contract to take advantage of the discount and assured us we would be able to update via a change order. Nothing would be ordered until the choices were made and the change order was executed. We have done many remodeling projects over the years and change orders are standard so we had no reason to doubt his assurances. Since then he has overpromised and failed to deliver. Every time we texted or emailed to ask about the change order status he reiterated that it was with the office, everyone was aware, nothing would be ordered and the change order would be sent - tonight, tomorrow, next day...you get the picture. After weeks of waiting for the change order so we could move on the project, we tried to escalate a number of times because based on the reviews we expected better customer service. However, we were told we needed to resolve all the miscommunications and failed follow through with the salesman that had failed to follow through. Imagine our surprise when we got a text that some of the doors were ready for installation. The salesman was shocked as he had told us nothing would be ordered until the change order was signed. In an effort to salvage the project and because we wanted to believe the salesman, we allowed for partial installation. The installation was riddled with additional issues. Wrong hardware, wrong trim, no wood molding around the door. The salesman was apologetic and did not understand why there was a disconnect. After another few weeks of messages, emails and requests to escalate, we finally got confirmation that the salesperson and the director of revenue would come to our home at 2pm on 6/22. They arrived late 30 minutes late (even though my husband had made it clear he was meeting them during his lunch hour) and the director of revenue was defensive and put all blame on the misrepresentations made by their salesman on us. During the meeting the salesman told him that the remaining doors had not been ordered. After that meeting the company STILL had the salesman follow up to ask how we wanted to proceed. He was embarrassed at that point because he was telling us the company would be able to address our concerns and they hung him out to dry. Even though it wasn't our fault, in an effort to put this nightmare behind us and NEVER deal with them again, after a few exchanges with the director of revenue, we agreed to a resolution provided they completed the project by today. No response for over a week until this afternoon when they basically said 'thanks for agreeing to letting us do what we haven't done but keep bending over backwards so we can do it in our terms'. @owner of the company you should step in sooner and not wait for the online reviews to try justifying the experience. For all those that posted 1 star reviews in the last year we should talk about options. Based on your experiences I can tell is not the individual players. It's the company.

We told him if he can repair what is already there so that the locks work and he quoted us $400. We accepted that estimate and after he took it all apart, said he could not repair it so we told him go ahead and put it back together. We're gonna get other quotes. He says he cannot put it back together and he tried to leave with our Parts. I spoke to his manager Armando and Armando was very unprofessional. As you seen the picture, it was only eight screws that he had to put my stuff back together, but didn't do it instead he was upset because he cannot take advantage of my wife. Thank God, my wife called me to this matter I did not recommend these guys. I never will.
