It is a very large store/warehouse with a door selection for every choice. Besides that they also have a great catalog from which the door of choice can be selected (what I did). The sales person I dealt with was very knowledgeable and patient. We communicated in person and later on the phone. My husband and I visited Urban Doors on 5/22/26 to look for a front door as part of our home renovation. We were approached by Brian who showed us a few options after telling him that our current doors measured 60x80. My husband mentioned to Brian that he wanted a pivot door - Brian led us over to the one and only pivot door they had in stock - that according to Brian and the sign in store, was the exact size we needed. We were so happy and relieved to be able to find a door that was everything we were looking for in one go rather than having to go to multiple shops. We paid the invoice and gave our contractor the information as well as a picture of the invoice so he can grab it once he was ready to install the door. Today 6/23/26 our contractor calls my husband to inform him that the door does not fit - with the frame it is a little taller than the 80" we had told Brian about. My husband calls Urban Doors to see what can be done and even speaks directly to Brian who admits that the door is a little bigger than 60x80 with the frame. My husband asks why this wasn't mentioned to us before we bought the door and what can be done about it - we aren't contractors, we're just homeowners looking for a door. How are we supposed to know that when you say 60x80 that means it's not really 60x80? Brian asks if the door has been removed from the plastic packaging which yes it has - our contractor had to remove the door from the packaging to install the door that we were told would fit. And it wasn't until then at the time our contractor is trying to install the door that he realized it did not fit because it is measuring 83" with the frame. Brian tells my husband that unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about this issue as the invoice states no exchanges/final sale. We understand what no exchanges/final sale means - but there should be some accountability. We tell you that we need a door to fit a 60x80 space, you tell us this door is 60x80 and will fit. Then when we try to install this final sale door - you tell us with the frame it's bigger than we can fit! It's not like we bought the door then suddenly changed our mind and want to return. The freaking door that you said would fit doesn't fit. Make it, make sense. This is bs customer service and business ethics. We will be warning everyone around us - family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, and other contractors in addition to ours to avoid Urban Doors the moment they tell us they're even thinking about renovating/building. It's the principle of things - just asking for some decency here and we did not get it after being misled if not lied to by their employee. read more

Came in to look at doors for our home. Worked with BRIAN to get an estimate printed out with our order and specifications. A week later, I call back to request an invoice so I can place the order. He says that my order is not possible due to the quantity. I ask him why did he even write us a printed estimate then and he says verbatim "I must not have been paying attention." Great selection but poor quality and customer service. The warranty is misleading and will not cover anything. As other reviews stated, this location is just sales. The customer service and everything else is handled elsewhere. In addition, I had to get my hardware somewhere else although the salesperson was helpful in telling me what to get and where to get it. Helen is absolutely the worst. Slow to respond to emails and passive aggressive. We submitted a warranty claim because there was a gap in the door seam. Our contractor advised us to contact Urban Doors to fix it because if he did it, it might void the warranty. Well, we went down a rabbit hole and were told our warranty is not valid because the overhand on the outside of the door is not big enough. This has nothing to do with the interior part of the door which was not manufactured correctly. Poor customer service. They have like two people helping customers while customers just stand and wait around for like half hour, if lucky. Big warehouse for only two reps. The door installer they highly recommended, Javier Guerrero did a terrible rush sloppy job. Left our door with loose hinges because of his rush job making the holes too big and the screws too small. All looked okay when he and his father/ assistant left except for all the wood, screws and packaging trash they threw around my front yard! Then about two months later, the door dropped and became misaligned. Still under warranty, he never returned our calls to fix it!!! Shame on Urban doors and the installer they recommended. My husband semi-fixed the issue but not good enough like a professional installer should have done after paying close to $1,000.00 for installation alone. We had to call in a second door installer to fix the horrible job Javier Guerrero did. We recently purchased a custom front door, and from start to finish, our experience was outstanding. I do have to mention that this is largely thanks to Gene. He went above and beyond in every step of the process. There is also a very nice secretary (I don't know her name, but she is always so attentive) was also very helpful and timely with anything we needed. Gene is incredibly knowledgeable, super patient, was always willing to answer questions and walk us through the details. Anytime we ran into the inevitable questions and hiccups that come with construction, he handled them quickly and professionally, which made what could have been stressful situations feel seamless. He was attentive, responsive and genuinely cared about making sure we were happy with the final result. What stood out was how approachable and friendly Gene, the secretary in the front lobby and the rest of the team at Urban Doors was. They treated us like valued customers, not just another sale. From helping us select the right door and stain, to addressing warranty questions after the fact, Gene followed through and ensured everything was taken care of. The company uses a very broad warranty statement to attempt to cover up my door was not a quality door. My front door gets minimal sun due to a covered porch. I do not recommend this company. Sales representative Ted Williams sold me an exterior door after I disclosed the opening faces south. He recommended a model that, because it faces south, falls outside the written warranty. In my opinion, that was a material omission and a misrepresentation of warranty coverage that I relied on to my detriment. The company took about six months to deliver the order. During that period Mr. Williams did not respond to multiple emails and calls. Once installed, the door exhibited defects. I notified the company and requested warranty service. The company denied coverage based on the south-facing exclusion, even though I disclosed the orientation before purchase. Based on these facts, I believe there is a breach of implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and an unfair or deceptive business practice under California law. I am pursuing a claim in small claims court and have retained all emails, invoices, and photographs. If you had a similar experience, reply to this review to connect. read more

Horrible experience. Horrible customer service. I put an order for a double exterior door about 3 weeks ago. I was told the lead time is 6 weeks. At the time the salesperson asked about door jamb size which I didn't know and had to check my contractor. He said it's ok if you give me that info in 2-3 weeks. I gave the info in 3 weeks and to my shock and contrary to what he had said originally he said the 6 week lead time starts from today and not the time the order was put. What bothers me even more is the way the handle it now and pretending it was not their fault. After multiple calls and no responses all the manager kept saying was there was a miscommunication, without accepting their fault and trying to resolve it. Had to cancel the order after losing 3 critical weeks of our project schedule. STAY AWAY from them at all cost. read more

The selection of doors is good but unfortunately they have an extremely poor customer service! I ordered an entry door with a right hand in swing and paid for it with the representative who confirmed that it was available. When my contractor went to pick it up he was told by the warehouse guy that they don't have it in stock. When called, the rep didn't have an answer for this discrepancy and didn't know if they would have it in stock soon or not. Hence, I asked for a refund on the order for which the rep said that their accounting department will write a check for the refund amount. It has been a week since my refund request and I still haven't received my refund. The rep and the company don't even have the courtesy to keep me posted on the refund process, and I have to keep asking them and reminding them for it. I don't recommend this place due to this terrible experience - very unprofessional and unconcerned staff! Please take your business elsewhere to companies that provide a far superior customer experience. I hope to get my refund soon! read more

Before I go into my long, detailed review, let me just say I'm either fortunate to have not experienced the same thing having seen the bad reviews on here, or a case of sour grapes, or acrimonious disputes by their customers. Before anything, I want you to know, I am not compensated for my review, I wasn't given a discount, and my order took 7 weeks. I ordered it on October 3, 2020 and it was delivered November 20th, 2020, and installed today the 21st. So. Behzad and Urban doors came to me as a referral through my GC Bailey at Verona Kitchen Bath and Flooring, who was doing my kitchen, two bathrooms, a powder room and garden window remodel. He also upgraded electrical and plumbing. Which by the way I interviewed and got bids from 11 different companies before choosing Verona. Behzad and Urban Doors were honest, fair, and provided me and my wife great customer service the day we went to their showroom. Sept 21. Behzad spent time trying to figure out what we wanted which could be an overwhelming and daunting task. But once we started talking about our remodel, showing pictures of our home and the interior, he was able to show us, and we were guided down the path of where we should be to find the "perfect" door. Behzad walked us to where the door was. A Knotty Alder Entry Door with iron grill and operable top panels. Just perfect!! Then came the stain or color choices. He showed us that. Then the hardware. The guy knows his stuff and guided us. We had no idea what we needed. We just wanted a door. But there is more to it unless you're a contractor and know what you're doing. We also picked up a beautiful DLX Shaker Style pantry door with a matte glass that's prehung. We're talking about almost $3,000. For us, that's a pretty penny and if we mess things up, it's going to hurt real fast and real bad with remodeling budget money. I was very direct with Behzad about their return policy and all the "what if's". I also asked about installation. He gave me a list of installers and all of them with the exception of Javier Guerrero were responsive and didn't want $150 to quote me an estimate that would be used towards the installation if I decided to use that person. Javier was punctual, polite and professional. Great communication and easy to work with. Very likable guy, but most importantly he knows his profession very well, and loves what he does. He takes pride in his work and has a passion for doors. The dude was admiring my door after he and his dad finished installing it. I love that. So I'd definitely recommend Javier on the list Urban Doors gives you. He doesn't have a Yelp page. Javier's price was also fair and reasonable compared to some of the other people I'd asked. Back to UD. I paid for half, and the rest when the door came in. Along the way I'd check with Behzad and he'd give me updates. I was impatient but he was very understanding with me about wanting to get this done. So to wrap things up. Urban Doors, and especially Behzad were absolutely phenomenal for my door purchases. I'm happy with my experience and their referral to use Javier Guerrero and Javier Sr. I recommend them and stand behind my recommendation as they stand behind their work. Look. No one is prefect. But everyone deserves to be respected and be treated with patience and dignity. Whether you're paying for something or not, or the amount. For me, I'm glad it went smoothly because I know what it's like when it doesn't. Hopefully this door doesn't have any issues moving forward because I'd hate to come back and change my review or update it. I placed a warranty request on August 22, 2024. The door panels had shrunk so much that they were allowing air and light to enter or pass through the door. I have had to contact them (Helen) throughout the process as they would not respond to my emails. I purchased the doors and used their recommended installers, but paid them separately. Turns out many of the installers had previously worked directly for UD but that has changed. It is obvious that UD did not want to be responsible for the installation. They tried to use every excuse to not warranty the door. There is no warranty for homes that Face North, South, and West. The good news is my house faces East. They then asked if I had a covered porch. I guess they were trying to not warranty the if there is no porch or if the overhang is not large enough. The good news is that I do have a porch and a patio cover that extend 20 feet. I had to take photos of the daylight issue and send them to Helen. UD sent a contractor out to adjust the door panels and they had a difficult time getting the panels to move back into the original place. They wipe stain on the raw surfaces, no sealer, then left. I contacted UD and informed them that the repaired area does not match the finish of the doors. After a lengthy process UD said they found a finish company that would make my repair. Well, he arrived (late) today and wiped more stain on the areas. He used a rag. I asked if he was going to seal it and he said it had sealer mixed with the stain. Turns out that he is a UD door installer and Was going to another job. He did not wipe down the door to see where the issues were. When he left there was dust on my door except for where he wiped. I would think that the least one could do is wipe the do or clean prior to the repairs. Am u wrong? Needless to say, I have been treated unfairly and there was minimal effort from UD to do the right thing. Please make sure you read your warranty prior to purchase, and make sure that the door installer is responsible to stain, seal, and finish any areas that they impact as a result of installing your doors. I wish I read the reviews before spending over 3500. For a door that was wrong size in thickness and the salesman failed to advise us.and the salesman (behzad) told us that the door comes with moldings but when their recommended installer picked up the door there were no moldings.so I went back asking for them but he said they don't have any more.I explained to him that was part of the purchase but he simply said it's not.so the installer ran to Home Depot and bought some white none matching wood to just finish the job.make story short 5200. Later we have a wrong size door with funny looking white plain wood from inside.so,do yourself a favor,always read the reviews before spending your money. read more
