I have nothing else but greatness to say about this place! The owners are amazing patient and really know what discipline is. My 3 kids have been doing amazing since they where 3/4 years old. I started sending my son here for their afterschool program in mid October. We live in a multigenerational house, so people are home all the time. I found that my son would get home, and immediately plant himself in front of his computer or ipad, and do nothing but watch videos until I got home and had him do his homework. When he was done, back to the screen he would go. EVO provides a great dynamic environment for him to engage with other kids. They help him with his homework, and the TKD program is great for instilling discipline and perseverance. He's made friends, and while he still is a screen junkie, he is able to interact with more kids in a free form environment. It is a bit on the pricey side at $500/mo, but when you break it down to a daily or hourly rate, it's not terrible given the services offered. read more

Such a great place for children, I've been here since I was 10 and they have made me feel like family. The owners have always been considerate of my dreams and passions. I've witnessed life changes for children having a hard time in school. It is really amazing to see how invested they are in the growth of their students. As for martial arts, Master Kyle is amazing at explaining. He will answer any question, demonstrate the technique if you're confused and is willing to assist you after class if you need help. He offers adult class and jujitsu (which I recommend) where you have more of an opportunity to have more of one on one instructions. Ms.Vanessa his wife, is incredibly amazing and runs the after school program. She has been nothing but amazing and encourages her students to succeed. She even attends school reward ceremonies. Update - 5/29/2020 - I explicitly asked for a copy of registration paperwork and a response to whether they intended to keep my $100 for a child that would not be present. After waiting more than a week for a response in Facebook messenger, someone responded detailing the need to maintain financial integrity of the business, and would not return my money. However, I am unclear where the financial integrity is when a company decides to keep monies, in an unprecedented time, for a child that will not make use of the service. Where is the money being used? If my child is not there, then you have misappropriated my money and are using it for the benefit of other children. I do not recommend this business. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We put our trust in Master Kyle, and he let us down. My autistic son, my daughter and my nephew were taking classes at this Dojo under Master Kyle. Master Kyle was fully aware that my son is autistic. He and his secretary Ms Kelly assured us that he had a lot of experience with autistic children and that this was a good and safe place for my son and that we could come to him for help with my son. On one afternoon, I went into Master Kyle's office with my son in tow to speak to him about my sons upcoming home report for his purple belt. I told Master Kyle about my son fighting with his little sister at home and not always obeying mom and dad. I expected his help, possibly for him to speak with my son, since my son had a great deal of respect for him. I expected for Master Kyle to possibly give him extra assignments or cleaning around the Dojo but I never expected what he chose to do. Master Kyle began to ask my son what was going on in the home and if it was true, what his mom was reporting. My son answered bravely that yes it was true and that he was sorry and was going to try harder. At that time Master Kyle reaches out to a bin beside him and pulled out a stick, without my permission wacked my son on both of his ankles, causing my son to yell out and tried to bar me from attending to my son. I nor my husband ever signed anything or had any knowledge that any type of corporal punishment would be used. I greatly weighed calling the police and filing assault charges. We do not punish my son in such a manner and do not appreciate his decision in doing so. We told Master Kyle that we needed time to review our decision of having him in this dojo. They said that this tactic is used in other dojo's but we were never aware of it. Master Kyle chose to continue to charge us for them being in the class while we were trying to decide. This episode has done damage to my son. He no longer trusts Master Kyle and neither do we. Unfortunately, the dojo moved their location to literally just a few doors down from our apt and my son is scared for us to even slow down outside their location. We tried to get him to go back to help him get over this fear and we can't. In addition, to this day they still insist that we owe them their tuition. read more

The owners actually live on my street. Very nice people. Master Kyle and the other instructors are very good at taekwondo and teaching it to the kids. Super strict, which is a good thing! Each class is about an hour long and there are chairs for parents to sit and watch. There's a little play waiting area for siblings who aren't in class. My 5 year old just started here a couple of months ago after doing a free month long trial, and he loves it!! read more

I love Evo Tae Kwon Do, their staff is friendly and great at teaching. Master Kyle is very firm yet kind to the kids. They learn to be disciplined and be respectful. I love how he ends with his class, he tells the children to always say thank you mom and thank you dad. . He does that so the kids can appreciate whomever brought him/her to the dojang to practice. I would highly recommend them! I've been to three dojang with my children and so far this one I love Best. read more

My son liked the concept of self defense, but I don't agree with how they "discipline" the kids. Using a stick called "the helper" to scare them and then use the stick on them to punish them is not ok! read more
